Definitions
- the invention relates to the display industry, and more specifically to the animated display area running through the unfolding of a printed canvas. It relates more particularly to the structure of a display medium including several independent sections each carrying information to display.
- dynamic display devices operate in unwinding a display medium on which at least two have been printed, and more generally three different posters. This canvas is rolled in one direction then in the other, and immobilized regularly so that the printed poster is correctly displayed in the external view.
- the display medium is consisting of a canvas on which are glued various paper posters. This canvas rolls on the motorized rollers, thus causing the winding of paper posters. It is conceivable that this first solution can cause folds during the curl of the fabric, these folds may in turn cause blockages of the system and thus the interruption of the correct display.
- the support fabric information includes lateral edges equipped with a rod capable of sliding in fixed slides relative to the scrolling device.
- the display medium used may be, for example, a film made of slightly stretchy plastic, and that was printed. More specifically, several successive posters are printed one after the other on this canvas.
- the scrolling devices are fed with the support canvases information based on the durations of poster campaigns. But for some products and for some advertisers, it may turn out that the periods are not the same for the different posters on the same canvas. Until present, it is necessary to replace the entirety of a canvas, even if only one posters must be replaced. This requires a new operation printing of posters that are not replaced but renewed for successive periods. This is especially necessary to maintain a structure in one piece with regard to the lateral edges, which must be continuous to slide correctly in the lateral guide and support rails under transverse tension.
- the problem to be solved by the invention is that of allowing to optimize the successive poster campaigns by individualizing the different posters while remaining compatible with setting up in devices maintaining a transverse tension, in particular thanks to the use of side rushes.
- the invention therefore relates to a display medium intended to be put in place in a scrolling device, whose edges are able to be guided laterally within such a scrolling device.
- this display medium as defined by claim 1 is characterized in that it is composed of several adjacent sections reversibly secured to each other by their horizontal edges facing.
- this display support comprises a lateral rod located on each of these lateral edges, this ring extending continuously over all the sections adjacent.
- the invention consists in detachably associating different independent sections on which are printed separate posters, with a continuous ring present on each of the edges of the assembly consisting of sections associates. In this way, it is possible to modify the different zones displayed in replacing only the corresponding sections, with complete freedom in the composition of the complete canvas.
- the different sections are secured to reversible way by their vertical edge to a single element comprising a rush lateral, this single element thus forming the lateral edge of the assembly.
- the different sections comprise on each vertical edge a lateral rod.
- the support then comprises means for ensure the continuity of the different lateral rods of the adjacent sections.
- the different sections comprise in themselves a lateral rod, and means are provided for connecting the ends of the rods at the selvedge edges, so as to form a rod continuous over the entire display screen.
- each section incorporates a fraction of global lateral ring, the continuity between these different fractions of rush being ensured to allow the good sliding of the ring in the fixed slide of the device drop.
- the horizontal edges next to two adjacent sections can be connected via two elements complementary, each located on one of the horizontal edges, these elements cooperating with each other.
- the selvedge high of a stretch includes an element that can come hang on or over usually cooperate with an element that is attached to the lower edge of the stretch superior.
- the adjacent sections are connected directly by their edges.
- the horizontal selvedges facing two adjacent sections can be connected via an organ additional, cooperating with the two horizontal edges to connect.
- the complementary elements may comprise a plurality hooks adapted to snap into hooks of the complementary element of the adjacent stretch. These hooks have a profile that requires a low effort for the establishment of a selvedge on the other, but which on the contrary requires a much higher effort to separate adjacent sections.
- This solution is particularly suitable for the weak poster widths, for installation and dismantling issues.
- complementary elements and bodies may include a plurality of hooks, hooks of each complementary element being able to snap into the hooks of the additional organ.
- the low edge of one of the sections comes snap on the complementary hooks of a part of the organ intermediate.
- the upper edge of the lower section comes in the same way snap into another part of the intermediate element.
- each horizontal edge may comprise a horizontal ring, the organ additional then comprising two slides capable of receiving the rushes horizontal edges of the edges.
- the rigidity of the connection is provided by the intermediate supplementary body, which makes it possible to use relatively flexible horizontal rods for the different sections. This solution is therefore particularly suitable for the use of extensible fabrics, presenting a very good quality of visual rendering.
- each section incorporates a fraction of the overall lateral ring
- the device has connecting elements inserted into both ends in side rushes of adjacent sections.
- the continuity of individual rods of each section are provided by elements of junction which allow the ends of the individual lateral rods to be held together in alignment with each other.
- these connecting elements can be inserted into a housing pierced parallel to the axis of the ring.
- the lateral rods of the three adjacent sections have a groove opening laterally, intended to receive the element of junction.
- the connecting element can be put in place inside the characteristic throat after the different sections have been associated by their horizontal edges. This facilitates the overall construction operations of poster.
- the connecting elements can be in the form of a rigid rod or semi-rigid, or even more preferably in the form of a form jumper
- the middle part of the rider acts as a link between the rushes of the two adjacent sections.
- the branches of the rider penetrate for their part in holes provided for this purpose inside the rod, so as to increase the resistance to tearing the connection means between sections.
- the display medium according to the invention may include at least one locking part placed on horizontal edges opposite the adjacent sections, so as to ensure additional mechanical connection between said adjacent sections.
- this locking piece is put in place on a single face of the poster, namely preferentially the apparent face of the poster on which the operator can intervene.
- the invention relates to a display medium which is intended to be set up in a scrolling device.
- such a display medium (1) can be realized by the reversible assembly of several sections (2, 3, 4) each comprising a individual poster.
- each section (2, 3, 4) has on its lateral edges (5, 6) lateral rods (7, 8) for sliding inside slides forming part of the non-scrolling device represent.
- the different sections (2, 3, 4) are mutually reversibly joined together by their horizontal edges (10, 11, 12, 13).
- the display medium (1) comprises means ensuring the continuity of the rods (7, 17, 27, 8, 18, 28) of the different sections adjacent (2, 3, 4). This geometric continuity is necessary to allow a optimal sliding in the slides of the pull-down device.
- FIG. 2 illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the solidarity between the horizontal edges (10, 11) of two adjacent sections (2, 3).
- the low edge (10) of the section (2) comprises a first element (20) which is permanently welded or solidarized by an equivalent means.
- This element (20) has in its lower part a zone of greater thickness (21).
- This zone of greater thickness (21) can marry a form of rush or analogous, and extends over the entire width of the selvedge (10).
- the selvedge (11) of the element (3) has an element (22) which is also welded to him or secured in a virtually definitive way by any means equivalent.
- this element (22) has a groove (23) in profile complementary to the swollen area (21) of the section (2).
- FIG. 3 A detail of the shape of the complementary elements (21, 23) is illustrated at FIG. 3.
- the zone of greater thickness (21) of the element (20) marries a substantially triangular section shape, having its tip oriented in direction of the adjacent section (3).
- the zone (23) of the section (3) has a profile complementary in section. More specifically, this groove (23) has branches (24, 25) which close towards one another to form a throat restricted opening.
- the invention is not limited to this single embodiment in which the integral complementary elements of the adjacent sections have a triangular shape and complementary shape, but it covers other variants in which the cooperation between an element (20, 22) is made by a profile in circular section, or generally any other shape allowing easy implementation and good resistance to tearing.
- the section comprises at its edge (10) an element (30) which it is welded or secured by any other equivalent means.
- this element (30) comprises a plurality of oriented hooks (31, 32, 33) perpendicular to the main plane of the element (30).
- Each hook (31-33) has at its end a bulging portion (34, 35, 36) having a thickness which decreases away from the element (30).
- These different elements (31, 33) have a general shape similar to that of a harpoon.
- the edge (11) of the section (3) is equipped with an element (37) identical to the element (30).
- the different hooks or harpoons (38) are therefore identical to the hooks (31, 33) of the element (30) or complementary.
- the hooks (38) of the element (37) interpenetrate the hooks of the complementary element (30), without requiring any effort important, given the shape of the hooks.
- the shape of these hooks prohibits tearing, at least under low effort.
- the joining of the two horizontal edges (10, 11) of the sections (2, 3) is thus performed.
- the shape of the hooks and their number per element (30) can be optimized according to the width of the poster. It is not in any case limited to the only illustrated form.
- FIG. 5 An alternative embodiment is illustrated in FIG. 5, in which the selvedge (10) of the section (2) is equipped with an element (41) similar to the element (30) of the FIG. 4.
- the edge (11) of the section (3) is equipped with a element (42) similar to the element (41) but having a configuration symmetrical with respect to a horizontal plane.
- the joining between the sections (2) and (3) is obtained via an additional member (44) having a zone (45) cooperating with the hooks (47) of the element (41).
- the additional organ (44) comprises a second zone (46) intended to cooperate with the hooks (48) of the element (42).
- the introduction of the additional member (44) is effected by same manner as are associated elements (30), (38) illustrated in Figure 4. Thanks to the use of the additional organ (44), it is possible to choose more flexible materials for producing the elements (41, 42) integral with sections (2, 3). In particular, it is possible to choose a material with deformation qualities close to those of the material used for the canvas printed.
- FIG. edges (10) and (11) of the sections (2, 3) are equipped with identical elements (50, 51). These elements (50, 51) then have at their ends a rod (52, 53) suitable sliding inside slides (56, 57) formed in the additional member (55).
- This additional member (55) can be obtained by extrusion of material plastic, or even be formed of a metal profile. In the same way that for the example of Figure 5, this construction allows a sliding of the element (50, 51) relative to the additional member (55).
- the continuity of the lateral rod (7, 17; 8, 18) can be obtained by various means, and in particular parts of the joining elements (60,61).
- These connecting elements may be metal rods or material plastic, adapted to marry the curvature of the ring when the latter is wound on the rollers of the unrolling device not shown.
- joining elements (60, 61) can, as illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 7, be placed inside a hole (62) pierced in the very thickness of the rush (7, 17; 8, 18).
- the length of the joining element (60, 61) and its diameter and its material are determined not to generate too strong constraints on the rod (7, 17; 8, 18) during winding on the rollers of the scrolling device.
- the centering of the holes (62) made inside the joint (17) is carried out precise way in order to obtain optimal continuity of the rods as well secured.
- FIG. A variant of this connection is illustrated in FIG. the joining element (60) is placed transversely in a groove (65) having an opening (66) opening laterally.
- the profile of the opening of this groove is determined to facilitate the lateral introduction of the element of junction (60) without exerting too much force.
- the joining element (80) has a jumper shape.
- This rider (80) has a central portion (81) which is housed in the groove (65) of the rod (60).
- the rider (80) has a bent limb (82,83), typically at 90 °.
- these branches (82,83) penetrate each into a hole (68) formed in the rod, at the bottom of the groove (65).
- the rider (80) increases the pull-out resistance of the stretches consecutive poster.
- locking pieces may comprise a first member having two cleats (72, 73) mounted on a plate (74). These cleats (72, 73) pass through eyelets (75, 76) made on the horizontal edges (11, 12) in the lateral areas. The cleats (72, 73) are then snapped or riveted or secured by any other means to a plate (71) on the face opposite of the display medium.
- These locking pieces (70, 71) can be present on both sides of the display device, or even more spread over the width of the display medium.
- the locking pieces are advantageously made of a flexible material that can match the curvature of the display medium when it is wound on the rollers of the pull-down device.
- each poster section (2,3) receives an additional piece (102,103) which is secured to the poster by welding, gluing or equivalent.
- This piece additional includes a sheath (104) protruding, pierced with a hole through (105).
- the additional pieces (102, 103) are positioned such so that their through holes (105) are in line with each other.
- a pin (106) is introduced into the through holes (105) of the two additional pieces (102,103).
- the spikes (107) the pin (106) is then folded back to prevent relative movement sections of poster (2,3).
- the pin (106) can be replaced by equivalent means to ensure a similar connection.
- This variant has the advantage of not requiring access to the opposite side of the poster, which simplifies the set-up operations.
- the poster structure illustrated in Figure 1 in which the different sections (2, 3, 4) each comprise tractions of the lateral rod (7, 17, 27, 8, 18, 28) can be replaced by the structure shown in Figure 11.
- the display medium (90) consists of three sections (91, 92, 93) which have no side rush. These sections (91, 92, 93) are joined by their horizontal edge in the same way as the sections (2, 3, 4) described in detail previously.
- sections (91, 92, 93) form a unit which then receives on each of its edges a single element (94, 95) comprising a single ring (96, 97) extending the entire length of the display medium.
- Solidarity between elements (95, 94) with the assembly formed of the sections (91, 92, 93) can be effected according to the different means mentioned previously with regard to junctions between the horizontal edges of sections.
- the invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment in FIGS. 1 and 11 in which the display medium comprises only three sections, but it covers all variants concerning dimensions and number of sections used.
- the display medium according to the invention has multiple benefits, including the ability to replace one or more posters individually inside a set of posters. This modularity allows a management of different periods in the interior of a same scrolling display device.
