Abstract

L'invention a pour objet un procédé d'entraínement d'un produit en bande dans une installation comprenant au moins trois sections successives, respectivement une section (1) d'alimentation, une section (2) de traitement placée entre deux tensionneurs, respectivement amont (61) et aval (61') et une section (3) d'évacuation.
Conformément à l'invention, une variation de la vitesse de défilement dans la section de traitement (2) est compensée immédiatement par une variation correspondante de la longueur de bande (44) comprise entre l'extrémité de sortie (20') de la section de traitement (2) et le tensionneur aval (61'), pour le maintien permanent d'une longueur de bande sensiblement constante entre ladite extrémité de sortie (20') et le tensionneur amont (61), sans variation sensible de l'effort de traction appliqué sur la bande (4) dans chaque bac de traitement (21).
L'invention s'applique spécialement au décapage de bandes métalliques.
