Abstract

A clamping device for clamping mouldings for a frame assembling machine having a mobile plate (4) that carries a straight sliding clamp (6), returned by a spring and rotary clamp (7), each adapted to engage one of two mouldings to be clamped and assembled. The sliding clamp (6) is fixed to a jib (8) which extends beneath the mobile plate (4). The rotary clamp (7) is integral with a spindle (9) passing through the mobile plate and which bears in its lower part a lever (10) extending towards the jib (8) whereto it is fixed by an anchoring pin (11).

A device for clamping mouldings for machines for assembling frames comprising a fixed stapling table bearing stops that form an angle of about 90° between them, and a platen, able to move towards the stops, on which the following are mounted: a straight sliding jaw returned by a spring, and a rotary jaw, these jaws each being able to act on one of the two mouldings that are to be stapled together, characterized in that connecting members (8, 10) linked to the moving platen (4) connect the sliding jaw (6) and the rotary jaw (7) in such a way as to slave the rotation of the rotary jaw to the translational movement of the sliding jaw.
  2. A clamping device according to claim 1, characterized in that the connecting members consist of a gib (8) to which the sliding jaw (6) is fixed and of a lever (10) secured to the rotary jaw (7) and which extends towards the gib.
