Les profilés de ces glissières métalliques sont déterminés et étudiés

Pour l'essentiel, les extrémités des zones de chevauchement de chaque glissière comportent un ergot orienté selon l'axe longitudinal de la glissière en direction de son milieu. Cet ergot est destiné à être engagé dans une lumière de la glissière adjacente. Compte tenu de cette conception spécifique des glissières, il a été possible de réaliser une méthode spécifique pour la pose des glissières. Ainsi, selon une des caractéristiques revendiquées dans le brevet européen précité 0 886 702, cette méthode de pose se caractérise par les étapes essentielles suivantes :
- on engage les ergots de la première glissière dans les lumières correspondantes de la glissière suivante ;
- on exerce un effort de traction sur les glissières pour enclencher les ergots et former un train de glissières ;
- on fait pivoter le train de glissières obtenu pour le disposer verticalement en position de pose sur les supports ;
- on détecte automatiquement, sur le train de glissières, les orifices de solidarisation aux supports ;
- on bat un support dans le sol au niveau détecté ;
- on contrôle automatiquement la profondeur d'enfoncement du support en arrêtant le battage dès la détection de l'alignement de l'orifice des glissières avec un trou correspondant du support ;
- on solidarise les glissières sur le support.

Toutefois, comme indiqué, cette technique ne peut être mise en oeuvre que pour des glissières spécifiques présentant des agencements spécifiques au niveau de leur extrémité d'assemblage permettant un accrochage préalable. Autrement dit, la méthode de pose définie et revendiquée dans le brevet EP 0 886 702 malgré les avantages importants qu'elle procure, n'a pas d'application universelle et ne peut pas, par exemple, être utilisée avec la plupart des glissières métalliques actuellement sur le marché dont l'assemblage, au niveau de leur extrémité chevauchante, s'effectue par des organes de boulonnage engagés dans des trous traversants disposés en regard après alignement et chevauchement desdites extrémités.This technical solution brings significant progress compared entirely manual installation techniques. - une seconde machine présentant des agencements pour le stockage d'éléments supports et d'éléments écarteurs destinés à recevoir les glissières, ladite seconde machine présentant latéralement, d'une part, des moyens supports pour le maintien et le positionnement en alignement d'une manière sensiblement parallèle au sol, d'au moins deux glissières transférées à partir de la première machine et, d'autre part, de moyens pour battre les éléments supports ;
- lesdites première et deuxième machines présentant des agencements pour être accouplées à volonté en position d'alignement ;
- l'une au moins des machines présentant des moyens de propulsion et de déplacement au sol.
