If, on the other hand, it is determined during step 620 that the viewer has rejected enhanced program content, then the numerical ratings contained in the viewer profile 150 that are associated with the attributes that contributed to the selection of this enhanced program content are decremented during step 640.

Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif destinés à fournir un contenu de programmation supplémentaire personnalisé présentant des améliorations par rapport à un contenu de programmation original. La présentation de ce contenu de programme amélioré est déclenchée automatiquement et sélectivement en fonction d'un profil de téléspectateur. Ce profil de téléspectateur fournit une représentation numérique indiquant le niveau d'intérêt du téléspectateur en plusieurs attributs. Un procédé d'apprentissage des préférences du téléspectateur modifie dynamiquement les représentations numériques présentées dans le profil de téléspectateur selon l'acceptation ou le refus du téléspectateur de recevoir un contenu de programme amélioré. Ainsi, le profil de téléspectateur est automatiquement adapté en fonction des réactions du téléspectateur lors de la présentation d'un contenu amélioré. Les inférences contenues dans le profil de téléspectateur sont renforcées ou atténuées selon l'acceptation ou le refus du téléspectateur de recevoir un contenu de programme amélioré. Ce système permet également de déterminer si le téléspectateur a apprécié le contenu de programme amélioré qui lui a été présenté.
