Abstract

Water-soluble detergents and enzymes are used for mechanically cleaning textiles or crockery. According to the invention, enzymes with a catalytic effect on typical stains are added to the washing or cleaning process, only for as long as their catalytic effect is desired. This avoids superfluous removal of the enzymes that have been used in a washing or cleaning process.

Description

The invention is based on a process for the automated cleaning of textiles or solid objects, such as dishes, using water-soluble detergents and / or cleaning agents and enzymes.

Hitherto conventional methods of the above type ( DE 43 24 202 A1 ) use enzymes as cleaning enhancers during the period of action of, for example, alkaline detergents. Enzymes are added to the washing process in modern washing systems, for example in the form of a powder. Depending on the type of contamination, different enzymes are required, which requires appropriate storage and makes the selection or dosing process expensive. During the washing process not only carbohydrates or proteins are dissolved or broken down; The presence of alkaline detergents also attacks the enzymes themselves and either degrades them or at least renders them ineffective. Finally, undamaged enzymes are rinsed out with the liquor after each wash and must therefore be constantly added again. Further relevant prior art is in the documents US4745021 . US 4756844 . GB2254857 and GB2339579 , stated.

The invention has for its object to prevent the dissolution or inactivation of the enzymes and to avoid the rinsing of still usable enzymes.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the washing or cleaning process with respect to typical soiling catalytically active enzymes are added and only as long as their catalytic effect is desired. Since the catalytic action of the enzymes is useful only in a low temperature range and possibly without the presence of alkaline detergents, the enzymes used can be removed from the washing process after use and reused in a later washing process. The task is solved by
  1. a) a method for machine cleaning of textiles or solid objects, such as dishes, using water-soluble detergents and / or detergents and enzymes, characterized in that the washing or cleaning process in the machine deposited for at least several cleaning cycles, opposite typical soiling catalytically active enzymes (E) are added and that separated from the washing or cleaning agents (W) and only as long (t 1 ) as their catalytic effect is desired,
  2. b) an enzymatic structure for use in a process according to claim 1, characterized in that the enzymes (7) are macroscopically encapsulated by means of a wash-slab-permeable but water-insoluble polymer membrane,
  3. c) an arrangement comprising a machine for machine cleaning of textiles or solid objects, such as dishes, by means of detergents and / or cleaning agents and enzymes, characterized in that in the machine for at least several cleaning cycles specific, against typical contaminants catalytically acting enzymes (E. ) are deposited separately from the washing or cleaning agents (W) and only as long as (t 1 ), as their catalytic effect is desired, that the enzymes in capsules (12) are encapsulated macroscopically by means of a washable but water insoluble polymer membrane, and Capsules (12) are fixedly but exchangeably arranged in the machine at a location (6) which can be reached by the washing or cleaning liquor.

In a particularly advantageous manner, the process according to the invention is to be carried out with a washing or cleaning agent in which the enzymes are macroscopically encapsulated by means of a wash-membrane-permeable but water-insoluble polymer membrane. As a result, the catalytic effect can be carried out through the membrane without the enzymes being distributed in the washing or cleaning liquor.

If according to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the capsules consist of several interconnected hollow bodies, the enzyme-loaded membrane body are the easiest from the circulation of the liquor -. B. when pumping - stick out. Thus, the hollow body can be connected to cartridges and / or plates and / or tubular bodies. As a result, they become a larger unit, which can be stopped mechanically most easily in the lye flow.

Since the enzymes are gradually consumed even when using the method according to the invention - alkaline residues and temperature-induced decomposition processes are responsible - can, according to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the inventive enzymatic structure, the capsules or the connected hollow body in a machine for cleaning textiles or solid Objects (eg crockery) at one of the washing or cleaning solution reachable place but be arranged interchangeable.

In such a case, the location is most conveniently protected by a filter against insoluble contaminants from the washing or cleaning liquor.

So that all types of protein-containing or carbohydrate-containing contaminants are affected in the enzyme phase of the washing or cleaning process, capsules or hollow bodies are advantageously filled with set to different types of pollution enzymes. It is best to use a special enzyme for every type of contamination that occurs in machine-washable or cleaning processes.

The ordinate O of the diagram in Fig. 1 contains unspecified scales for the amount of liquor L in the tub 1 of the washing machine in Fig. 2 , for the temperature T of the liquor and for the amounts of detergent W or enzymes E. On the abscissa A, an unspecified time scale Z is plotted.

The in the diagram of Fig. 1 As soon as a certain level of liquor L in the container 1 is reached, the liquor is heated for a limited time t 1 , in which the liquor temperature T is still low, with a quantity of enzymatic washing. or detergent E brought into contact, which attacks protein and Kohlhydathaltige soils in a laundry. Thereafter, for example, an alkaline detergent W is introduced into the liquor L, which remains dissolved over a not further defined time t2 in the liquor and acts on the dissolved proteins and carbohydrates as well as other soiling of the Wäschepostens detaching. The areas below the diagram lines for Enzyme E and Detergent W highlight the difference in the individual exposure intensities.

The inlet of water, bypassing a detergent container 2 for the first phase of the water inlet in Fig. 1 is in Fig. 2 not shown. But after a certain amount of leaked water to the bottom of the tub 1 covered and already wet the laundry is in the example of the Fig. 2 the drain pump 3 turned on and the accumulated water, as far as it is not bound in the laundry, fed through the drain line 4 at the bottom of the tub and the circulation line 5 the Enzymbehälter 6. There it takes up a limited amount of the stored enzymes 7 and transports them into the tub 1, from where it receives the items of laundry together with the lye again wetting the laundry. In this way, by continuous exchange of bound in the laundry water and alkali gradually the entire laundry items are subjected to enzymes. This protein and carbohydrates are split. The enzyme phase is terminated by switching off the pump 3.

In contrast, after the end of the enzyme phase, the detergent 8 is rinsed out of the detergent container 2 during the opening of the valve 9 by inlet from the water supply network 10 and fed via line 11 to the tub 1. Then, if necessary, with further supply of water until a desired amount of liquor L and heating the liquor by means of a heater not shown up to a desired temperature T, the detergent W act on the split proteins and carbohydrates and other contaminants on the laundry items and remove them from the laundry. Later they are pumped together with the spent liquor in a manner not shown from the tub 1 in a sewage network.

Enzymes 7 can be coated by innovations in process engineering (microsystems) with a thin, porous polymer membrane, which leaves the enzymes in a capsule, but allows an exchange of substances with the environment (required for the decomposition process of proteins and carbohydrates during washing). Such macroscopic capsules can be bundled in containers 12 (sieve-like cartridges or crosslinking of the individual capsules with one another into larger structures such as plates, tubular bodies, etc.) in appropriate amounts for the respective process and thus retained as part of the machine in the hydraulic circuit 3 to 6 , To the surface of the capsules from contamination to protect, which would reduce or prevent mass transfer, if appropriate, upstream filter 13 at the entrance and 14 at the output of Enzymbehälters 6 or make the washing process accordingly.

The method according to the invention and the enzymatic structure thus include the possibility of completely avoiding regular detergent additions by the customer. Neither polluting surfactant detergents of conventional type nor enzymatic detergents in powder form are required when using the process according to the invention in the washing or cleaning agent. The enzymatic structure which is still required, for example in cartridge form, will be the treatment agent supply of the machine, if not for the duration of a washing or dishwashing machine life, at least for a longer time. A manual or automatic single-dose of enzymatic structure according to the invention in each washing process can be omitted and thus relieved both the customer and the environment can be spared significantly.

In order to take into account the different requirements of enzymes depending on the type of contamination, either a separate structure or mixtures of different enzymes can be accommodated in a structure or a cartridge for each type of enzyme.
