Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Wärmeübertrager, insbesondere für Kraftfahrzeuge, zur Wärmeübertragung zwischen einer Flüssigkeit und einem Gas. Der Wärmeübertrager besitzt mehrere Rohre (2), die parallel zueinander und beabstandet voneinander angeordnet sind, innen in Rohrlängsrichtung (5) von der Flüssigkeit durchströmbar sind und außen quer zur Rohrlängsrichtung (5) vom Gas umströmbar sind. Zwischen den Rohren (2) sind im Gasströmungsweg jeweils mehrere Rippen (7) angeordnet, die wärmeübertragend mit den Rohren (2) verbunden sind und sich mit ihrer Längsrichtung quer zur Rohrlängsrichtung (5) erstrecken. Jede Rippe (5) weist mehrere Kiemen (10) auf, die in Rippenlängsrichtung hintereinander und parallel zueinander angeordnet sind, sich mit ihrer Längsrichtung (11) quer zur Rohrlängsrichtung (5) und quer zur Rippenlängsrichtung erstrecken und quer zur Kiemenlängsrichtung gegenüber der Rippenlängsrichtung geneigt sind. Bei einer Gasbeaufschlagung des Wärmeübertragers führen die Kiemen (10) die Gasströmung von der einen Rippenseite zur anderen Rippenseite.
Um die Leistungsfähigkeit des Wärmeübertragers zu verbessern, kann jede Kieme (10) einen ersten Kiemenlängsabschnitt (12) und einen zweiten Kiemenlängsabschnitt (13) aufweisen, wobei die beiden Kiemenlängsabschnitte (12,13) quer zur Kiemenlängsrichtung (11) in entgegengesetzten Richtungen gegenüber der Rippenlängsrichtung geneigt sind.
