Definitions

  • the invention relates to a floor nozzle for vacuum cleaners a suction head which has a bottom-side sliding sole with a suction mouth extending transversely to the working direction and a suction channel opening into the suction mouth, a SaugrohranQueryelement which is inserted around the horizontal axis of a tilting joint movable in the suction channel, a roller assembly at the rear end of the suction channel a vertically adjustable support arranged inside the suction head.
  • a sealing strip is connected, which is arranged in the suction direction in front of the sliding sole. Furthermore, the support in the suction direction behind the sliding sole on a smooth floors working surface, which may be formed for example as a polishing surface.
  • the front sealing strip and the rear working surface are extendable together with a setting stroke of the carrier at the bottom of the suction head.
  • a floor nozzle with the features described is out DE 299 00 713 U1 known.
  • the roller assembly consists of rollers, which are arranged on the outside of the suction channel at a distance from the suction behind it.
  • the axis of the tilting joint and the axis of the roller arrangement fall together or at least close to each other.
  • Vertical forces, the are introduced by reciprocating suction movements by means of a suction pipe connected to the SaugrohranQueryelement, are received by the roller assembly.
  • the suction head is tiltably movable only under its own weight and a pressure force resulting from the vacuum prevailing in the suction mouth, on the surface to be sucked on. This ensures that the floor nozzle with low sliding forces can be moved back and forth.
  • the post-published publication EP 1 238 620 A1 discloses a floor nozzle for vacuum cleaners, in which behind the suction mouth several lowerable, arranged at right angles to each other bristle strips are arranged.
  • the invention has for its object to improve the handling and the performance characteristics of the floor nozzle on smooth floors.
  • the invention and solution to this problem is a floor nozzle for vacuum cleaners a suction head which has a bottom-side sliding sole with a suction mouth extending transversely to the working direction and a suction channel opening into the suction mouth, a SaugrohranQueryelement which is inserted around the horizontal axis of a tilting joint movable in the suction channel, a roller arrangement which is arranged in a recess provided at the rear end of the suction channel, centrally under the suction channel, a vertically arranged within the suction head, vertically adjustable support, wherein the carrier is a sealing strip is connected, which is arranged in the suction direction in front of the sliding sole, wherein the carrier in the suction direction behind the sliding sole has an effective on smooth floors working surface which extends between the sliding sole and the roller assembly and on both sides of the roller assembly to the rear extends, and wherein the front sealing strip and the rear work surface with a stroke of the support together on the underside of the suction head are so far extendable that the roller
  • the carrier is adjustable by means of a switch, for example a foot switch arranged at the top of the suction head, between the functional positions "carrier raised” and “carrier lowered".
  • a switch for example a foot switch arranged at the top of the suction head
  • the floor nozzle can be used for vacuuming carpets and carpets. It is supported on the roller assembly and the suction head is pivotally only under its own weight and under the effect of prevailing in the suction vacuum on the bottom surface, so that the floor nozzle with low pushing force can be performed over the ground.
  • the work surface of the carrier and the front sealing strip are extended by a stroke of the carrier in the functional position "carrier lowered".
  • the roller arrangement In the functional position "carrier lowered", the roller arrangement has no Ground contact.
  • the floor nozzle is supported in this functional position on the work surface and the front sealing strip. These elements slide on the bottom surface, so that longitudinal and transverse movements and in particular movements that are common in the handling of a mop, are possible.
  • the inventive design of the work surface results in a favorable for the cleaning of smooth floors force application.
  • the forces exerted on the suction tube during suction movements are essentially absorbed by the working surface, whereby a good mechanical effect of the working surface on the floor covering is achieved.
  • the underside projecting working surface seals as well as the front sealing strip lying below the sliding sole suction, so that an absorbent negative pressure can be adjusted.
  • the front sealing strip is expediently designed as a bristle strip.
  • Other designs e.g. Moldings made of rubber or foam, should not be excluded.
  • the working surface of the carrier is occupied by bristle tufts.
  • the bristle tufts are preferably arranged in one or more rows on the circumference of the carrier.
  • An equipment with hard bristles extends the application of the floor nozzle for rooms with a higher degree of contamination, such as basements or garages.
  • the work surface of the wearer may further comprise a soft covering suitable for polishing smooth floor coverings, eg for households with a predominantly smooth floor portion.
  • the work surface is equipped with a removable cloth.
  • the cloth may be a dry or damp floor cloth.
  • the cloth may be formed as a disposable cloth or washable cloth.
  • dry wipes with a good dust-holding capacity eg from a microfibre fabric to use.
  • the floor nozzle shown in the figures consists in its basic structure of a suction head 1, which has a bottom sole 2 with a transversely extending to the working direction suction mouth 3 and opening into the suction port 4, a SaugrohranQueryelement 5, about the horizontal axis. 6 a tilting joint is movably inserted into the suction channel 4, a roller assembly 7 at the rear end of the suction channel 4 and disposed within the suction head 1, vertically adjustable support 8.
  • the roller assembly 7 consists of a wide roller, in a at the rear end the suction channel provided recess is arranged centrally below the suction channel 4.
  • the axes 6 of the roller assembly and the tilting joint coincide or are at least close together.
  • the distance 1 between the axis 6 of the roller assembly 7 and the suction mouth 3 is more than 50 mm.
  • a sealing strip 9 is connected, which is arranged in the suction direction in front of the sliding sole 2. Furthermore, the carrier 8 in the suction direction behind the sliding sole 2 has a work surface 10 which is effective on smooth floors, which extends between the sliding sole 2 and the roller assembly 7 and extends on both sides of the roller assembly 7 to the rear.
  • the carrier 8 is vertically adjustable by means of a switch 11 between two functional positions. In the functional position "carrier raised", the floor nozzle can be used to vacuum textile coverings. In this functional position of the carrier, the floor nozzle is supported on the roller assembly 7 and is the sliding sole 2 of the pivotable about the horizontal axis 6 of the tilting joint suction head 1 on the bottom surface.
  • the carrier 8 For sucking smooth floors, the carrier 8 is lowered by actuation of the switch 11.
  • the front sealing strip 9 and the rear working surface 10 are so far extendable with the adjusting stroke of the carrier 8 on the underside of the suction head 1, that the roller assembly 7 has no contact with the ground during a suction operation on smooth floors and the suction head 1 on the working surface 10 of the carrier. 8 and the front weather strip 9 is supported.
  • the front sealing strip 9 is formed as a bristle strip and is connected to the carrier 8, a sealing lip 12 which is arranged in the suction direction behind the sliding sole 2 and extends parallel to this.
  • the working surface 10 of the carrier is occupied by bristle tufts 13, which are arranged on the circumference of the carrier 8.
  • the work surface is equipped with a removable cloth 14.
  • wipes are dry wipes for dust absorption, eg from a microfibre fabric, washable wipes or disposable wipes into consideration. In particular, moist floor towels can also be used.
