Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de transmission de messages courts (SMS) entre des ordinateurs (3, 8, 9) sur Internet (4). Le message court SMS est amené dans un format constitué d'une partie de tête (10) et d'une partie utile (32), et au moins un champ de données (11) destiné à déterminer le format de données, au moins un champ de données (16) destiné à l'identification de l'émetteur, et au moins un champ de données (19) destiné à l'identification du récepteur sont insérés dans la partie de tête (10). Selon l'invention, des chaînes de caractères (. LOGIN, . SELECT-CHANNEL) sont échangées entre les ordinateurs (3, 8, 9) avant, pendant, et notamment après transmission du message court SMS. L'utilisation dudit format de données et des chaînes de caractères échangées entre les ordinateurs (3, 8, 9) permet de mettre en oeuvre un protocole flexible, adapté à une telle transmission de données (ISMTP Protocole de Transfert de Messages Courts par Internet), ledit protocole reposant sur un réseau informatique tel qu'un réseau à base TCP-IP.
