Claims (17)

  1. Device for treating at least one strip (2) of filter material for the tobacco-processing industry, in particular filter tow strips, along a conveyor path (3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9), and comprising at least one compressed-air element (16, 17, 18), in particular for the strip (2), characterised in that at least one scavenging device (38) is provided that is arranged on the suction side on the conveyor path (3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9) of the strip and is connected on the pressure side to the compressed air element (16, 17, 18).
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the scavenging device (38) includes, at least on the suction side, at least one filtering device (36) and/or cleaning device.
  3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the scavenging device (38) includes, at least on the pressure side, at least one, preferably controllable, throttling device (49).
  4. Device according to one or more of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that a regulating device (31) and/or control device is provided for the scavenging device (38).
  5. Device according to claim 4, characterised in that at least one pressure measuring device is connected on the suction and/or pressure side to the regulating device (31) and/or control device.
  6. Device according to claim 4 or 5, characterised in that the regulating device (31) and/or control device is formed by a machine control centre, in particular a store-programmable control (SPC).
  7. Device according to one or more of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the suction side of the scavenging device (38) is arranged in a stretching zone of a stretching portion (6) of the conveyor path (3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9).
  8. Device according to one or more of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the suction side of the scavenging device (38) is arranged at the end of a stretching section of the conveyor path (3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9), in particular a stretching portion (6) and/or application portion (7) and/or gathering portion (8).
  9. Method for treating at least one strip (2) of filter material for the tobacco-processing industry, in particular filter tow strips, along a conveyor path (3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9) and by means of at least one compressed air element (16, 17, 18), in particular for the strip (2), characterised in that air is scavenged on the conveyor path (3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9) and is supplied to the compressed air element (16, 17, 18).
  10. Method according to claim 9, characterised in that the scavenged air is filtered and/or cleaned.
  11. Method according to claim 9 or 10, characterised in that the air is throttled on the pressure side, preferably by means of an, in particular controllable, throttling device (49).
  12. Method according to one or more of claims 9 to 11, characterised in that the flow of air is regulated and/or controlled.
  13. Method according to claim 12, characterised in that the air flow is regulated and/or controlled as a function of the air pressure on the suction side and/or the pressure side.
  14. Method according to claim 12 or 13, characterised in that the air flow is regulated and/or controlled by means of a machine control centre, in particular a store-programmable control (SPC).
  15. Method according to one or more of claims 9 to 14, characterised in that, in particular surplus air on the pressure side is discharged to the atmosphere.
  16. Method according to one or more of claims 9 to 15, characterised in that the air is scavenged at the end of a stretching zone of a stretching portion (6) of the conveyor path (3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9).
  17. Method according to one or more of claims 9 to 15, characterised in that the air is scavenged at the end of a stretching section of the conveyor path (3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9), in particular a stretching portion (6) and/or application portion (7) and/or gathering portion (8).
