Claims (14)

  1. Apparatus for winding a length of material (5), with

  2. Apparatus as claimed in Claim 1, characterised by a device (8) for transverse cutting of the length of material in a region between the roll of material (6) which has been pivoted away and the new winding body (4).
  3. Apparatus as claimed in Claim 1, characterised by a device (8) for transverse cutting of the length of material, which device is disposed on the other side of the length of material (5) relative to the overarm (7).
  4.   6. Apparatus as claimed in Claim 1, characterised in that in the working position of the overarm (7) the front contact region (7a) is directed into the downwardly open nip (16) which is formed by the first winding roller (1) and the new winding body (4).

Apparatus as claimed in Claim 1, characterised in that in the working position of the overarm (7) the front contact region (7a) is directed into the downwardly open nip (16) which is formed by the first winding roller (1) and the new winding body (4) and this front contact region is constructed as a nozzle (17) which can be supplied with pressurised gas in order - after the transverse cutting of the length of material - to blow the cut-off end (5a) into the nip (16) formed between the first winding roller and the new winding body.

  12. Apparatus as claimed in Claim 1, characterised in that the second winding roller (2) has its own drive.
  13. Apparatus as claimed in Claim 1, characterised in that guide rails (12) are also provided for guiding the ends of the winding body (4).
