Description

Domaine technique de l'inventionTechnical field of the invention

The removable climbing holds are intended for training and climbing on a wall, on an artificial climbing surface, or on an individual apparatus.
All removable plugs known are fixed to their support with a mechanical screw. Such a screw fixing system makes it possible to move, turn, remove or change climbing hold.

The taps are generally made based on molded resin, and the presence of the screw through hole in the central zone nevertheless causes a weakening of the mechanical strength of the plug. If the screw is tightened too much, or while the climber is exercising, this type of grip may break. Pieces of the broken plug may fall on people near the climbing wall.

The document US 6,074,327 discloses a climbing hold, comprising a tubular reinforcing sheath passing through the passage hole of the fastening screw. The presence of this sleeve, however, does not prevent the breakage of the plug in case of excessive tightening of the screw.
The document DE 4423162 relates to a climbing grip having a polyurethane plastic body mixed with quartz sand in a predetermined ratio, to obtain an elastic and deformable surface layer, which reduces the risk of scratch injury during gripping of the catch.

Objet de l'inventionObject of the invention

The object of the invention is to eliminate this disadvantage, and to achieve a climbing hold to prevent the fall of the debris in case of breakage.

Another object of the invention is to strengthen the breaking strength of the plug.

The invention consists in arming the socket with the aid of safety means incorporated in the body of the socket, and positioned around the orifice for the passage of the screw to retain the debris in case of rupture of the body.

The security means may consist of a steel wire or a wire of any other material, mesh, fabric or other flexible material having a spring effect, and can not break during a major folding. The structure of these safety means advantageously comprises a hole whose diameter is at least equal to the diameter of the orifice of the body, and less than the diameter of the head of the clamping screw.

When breaking a climbing jack according to the invention, the different parts thereof remain attached around the screw by the frame, which ensures the safety of people at the bottom of the climbing wall .

The presence of security means inside the body of the socket also strengthens its mechanical strength.

Description de l'inventionDescription of the invention

The body (1) of the socket is made of plastic material cast or molded resin, and has an orifice (6) for the passage of the clamping screw (5). Inside the body (1) are deformable security means (in dashed lines), formed for example by a reinforcing armature (2) having a hole (7) whose diameter is at least equal to body diameter (1), and smaller than the diameter of the head of the clamping screw (5). The frame (2) can be metallic or non-metallic.

Le corps (1), l'armature (2) des moyens de sécurité, et l'orifice (6) sont agencés pour permettre le passage de la vis de serrage (5).Figure 2 is a sectional view of the socket with the support (3) can be resin, wood or any other rigid material, and wherein is housed a threaded insert (4). The body (1), the armature (2) of the security means, and the orifice (6) are arranged to allow the passage of the clamping screw (5).

Figure 4 illustrates security means shaped according to a wire (11) of steel, or other material, forming a loop surrounding the shaft of the screw (5) clamping. The loop is smaller than the diameter of the head of the screw (5) clamping. Several wires can be placed around the screw (5) in one socket.

In Figure 5, the security means comprise a mesh (12) of metal, plastic or any other flexible material, and whose mesh size corresponds to the hole (7) above.

La figure 6 représente une prise cassée avec les morceaux de prise (13) attachés entre eux par les fils (11) de la figure 4, qui restent solidaires de la vis (5).Figure 6 shows a broken socket with the gripping pieces (13) attached to each other by the son (11) of Figure 4, which remain integral with the screw (5).
