Abstract

Eine Trockenpartie (10) einer Maschine zur Herstellung einer Materialbahn (22), insbesondere Papier- und/oder Kartonbahn, umfasst einen in Bahnlaufrichtung (L) verlängerten Glättnip (12), der zwischen zwei einander gegenüberliegenden Pressflächen gebildet ist, von denen zumindest eine durch eine Schuhwalze (14) gebildet ist, wobei zumindest 70% und vorzugsweise zumindest 90% des Schuhwalzenaußendurchmessers über dem Maschinenboden (16) liegen. Bei einem Verfahren zum kombinierten Trocknen und Glätten einer Materialbahn, insbesondere Papier- oder Kartonbahn, in einer Trockenpartei sind die folgenden Schritte vorgesehen:

  • die Materialbahn wird zunächst bis zu einem vorgebbaren Trockengehalt > 60%, insbesondere > 65% und vorzugsweise > 70% getrocknet,
  • die diesen vorgebbaren Trockengehalt aufweisende Materialbahn wird durch einen in Bahnlaufrichtung verlängerten Glättnip geführt, der zwischen zwei einander gegenüberliegenden Preßflächen gebildet ist, von denen zumindest eine durch ein umlaufendes Band gebildet und von denen zumindest eine beheizt ist,
  • die sich im verlängerten Glättnip ergebende Preßzeit wird > 0,8ms gewählt und
  • die Materialbahn wird nach dem Glättnip weiter getrocknet.
