Abstract

The tool consists of a plate (10) with holes (11) and a series of angled cutting segments, each with a long (1) and a short (2) side and made from two layers (3, 4) of metal containing fine and coarser abrasive particles respectively. The forward-facing side of each segment is inclined at an acute angle (5) to the surface of the plate (10), and the segments are fitted in at least two different positions - one with their points parallel to the periphery of the plate, and the other with their short sides parallel to its edge.

Description

La présente invention concerne les d'outils de coupe destinés à l'enlèvement de revêtements déposés sur des substrats minéraux selon le préambule de la revendication 1.The present invention relates to cutting tools intended for the removal of coatings deposited on mineral substrates according to the preamble of claim 1.

We meet in the field of construction or building renovation the problem of kidnapping painted, projected or flocked coatings on concrete, cement or brick appliances or blocks.

These coatings are especially paints bituminous products based on acryl, latex or epoxy, adhesives for tiling or carpet, plaster or plaster, even projections of flame retardants.

Les techniques d'enlèvement classiques sont lentes et peu productives (travail manuel avec spatule, burin) ou polluantes (utilisation de lessives chimiques) ou encore dommageables pour le substrat (sablage qui dégrade l'état de surface du support du revêtement).Conventional removal techniques are slow and unproductive (manual work with spatula, chisel) or pollutants (use of chemical detergents) or damaging to the substrate (sanding which degrades the condition surface area of the coating support).

On constate, cependant que l'abrasivité de la plupart des substrats minéraux émousse rapidement le taillant de ces fraisesWe know adaptable tools on machines made of rotating milling cutters arranged on the face of a plate rotated by the machine. The active surfaces of these strawberries are sharpened and realized most often made of tungsten carbide. We aknowledge, however that the abrasiveness of most substrates minerals quickly dulls the pruning of these strawberries

We know EP 0 865 878 and EP 0 865 879 and US 3 745 719 bushel wheels, in the shape of a tray or bowl, lined with diamond segments, which in contact with a mineral support, will retain the cutting power until the end of life, revealing during wear and tear successive layers of diamond. The wheels described in EP 0 865 878 and EP 0 865 879, which are considered the closest state of the art, include segments in the form of a circumflex accent with a wing extending substantially following the perimeter of the disc.

These tools are, in fact, intended for grinding mineral substrates, the thicknesses removed by grinding are of the order of a millimeter and the protrusion of grains of the order of a few tenths is adapted to the process of cuts and provides sufficient space for the evacuation of shavings.

For thick coatings of several millimeters, sometimes made of material presenting plastic characteristics and softening on contact of a tool heated by the grinding process, this design is not suitable: diamond segments allow a low rate of material removal and this one collapses quickly as soon as the softened matter closes the active surfaces of the segments.

The application DE-101 39 762.3 discloses a combination of the geometry of a strawberry, capable of a strong removal rate of material and little diamond segments sensitive to wear in contact with the mineral substrate.

The strawberry is composed of segments consisting of a hard and thin layer with high concentration of diamond inclined relative to the surface of the mount so to provide a positive cut in the material to be removed and of a support layer, at the back (in relation to the thicker) and at a lower concentration diamond.

This segment thus performs the function of removing the coating, considering the ability of the cutting edge to peel it, and this, stably, via a self sharpening mechanism of the hard edge in contact with the mineral substrate, and the polishing function of the substrate by adapting wisely the characteristics of the support layer at a grinding job.

A geometrical arrangement adapted to the segments and chip evacuation holes provided in the support of the tool improves the performance of this one, mounted on a rotary grinding machine connected to a vacuum cleaner.

The geometric arrangement described above ensures mechanically a coat work of coating in passes parallel. Unfortunately, it would be interesting to cross the passes. In addition, if it is suitable for work in diving in full matter in the usual way of working, in swallowing, that is to say, progressing with the tool, a zone already cleared of its coating towards this one, only the outer corners of the edge segments participate in the peeling process.

Wear is therefore concentrated and, quickly, the essential function of peeling is no longer assured.

Par ailleurs, la fabrication industrielle de ces outils est malaisée car le positionnement précis de petits segments en vue de leur association au corps de meule par brasage ou fusion laser se prête mal à des automatisations du procédéMoreover, the industrial manufacture of these tools is difficult because the precise positioning of small segments for their association with the grinding wheel by brazing or laser melting is not easy to automate of the process

Finally, the security charges required by EN 13236 § 5.5.7 and § 6.5.1 are difficult to satisfy given the smallness of the contact area between the segment and the grinding wheel body.

The purpose of the present invention is to remedy defects caused by the sense of cutting in passes parallel.

Another object of the invention is to avoid wear concentrated at one point abrasive segments.

Another object of the invention is to allow a high-performance serial production.

Another object of the invention is to guarantee a better job security of the disc.

The object of the invention is a surfacing wheel which differs from the closest state of the art in that the segments are arranged according to at least two different provisions so as to present, in the course of cutting process, the cutting edge according to at least four different inclinations.

According to an advantageous embodiment, the segments have an inclined cutting face to his basic plan that allows for a positive cut in the direction of the rotating cut in the material to to work.

According to an advantageous embodiment, the segments placed according to at least one of the have an inclined cutting face with respect to its basic plan that allows for a positive cut in the sense of cutting down in the material to to work.

In a preferred embodiment, the segments consist of two layers, the first hard and thin consisting essentially of a metallic binder enclosing fine abrasive grains (such as diamond), the second consisting essentially of a metallic binder enclosing abrasive grains larger than those of the first layer.

Dans ce cas, la première couche a, de façon avantageuse, des grains de l'ordre de 0.2 mm de diamètre circonscrit en forte concentration, de l'ordre de C60 en concentration FEPA.In this case, the first layer has, so advantageous, grains of the order of 0.2 mm in diameter circumscribed in high concentration, of the order of C60 in FEPA concentration.

De la même façon, la deuxième couche est avantageusement constituée de grains d'abrasif de l'ordre de 0.6 mm de diamètre circonscrit en plus faible concentration, de l'ordre de C40 en concentration FEPA.In the same way, the second layer is advantageously consisting of grains of abrasive of the order 0.6 mm in diameter circumscribed and weaker concentration, of the order of C40 in FEPA concentration.

According to an advantageous embodiment, a part segments is arranged with the axis of the tangent profile at circle passing through the tip of the profile and that another part of the segments is arranged with the short flank tangent to the outer circle corresponding to the periphery of the tool.

Other features and advantages of the invention will emerge from the following description of particular embodiments, reference being made to the appended drawings in which
  • Fig. 1 is a perspective view of an abrasive segment of the grinding wheel of the invention,
  • Fig. 2 is a plan view of the segment of FIG. 1
  • Fig. 3 is a section of this segment,
  • Fig. 4 is a perspective view of a grinding wheel of the invention,
  • Figs. 5 and 6 are sections along an axis passing through two types of segments of the grinding wheel of FIG. 4
  • Fig. 7 is a schematic plan view of two successive segments of the same wheel.

Fig. 1 shows an abrasive segment of the grinding wheel of the invention, in the form of a ploughshare with two flanks respectively long 1 and short 2, consisting of two layers 3 and 4, the face 3 being inclined at an angle at the base plane 6 of the segment.

Fig. 2 shows the position of both flanks 1 and 2 relative to the central axis 7 of the segment.

(Cet angle correspond à la projection orthogonale de l'angle d'inclinaison 5 sur un plan vertical passant par l'axe de symétrie 7)A section (fig 3) of this segment, passing through the axis central 7 where we find the two layers 3 and 4 shows better than the front of layer 3 is inclined next angle 16 relative to the base plane 6. angle is the orthogonal projection of the angle tilt 5 on a vertical plane passing through the axis of symmetry 7)

Le sens de rotation est repéré par une flèche 17.Fig. 4 provides a general view of the wheel of the invention, which is composed of a body 10, generally metal and pierced with holes 11, lined with these segments arranged here according to two provisions: four segments 8 (referred to as "working segments") are arranged with the axis of the profile tangent to the circle passing through the tip of the profile and four segments 9 (designated as name of "boot segments") whose short flank is tangent to the outer circle corresponding to the periphery of the tool. The direction of rotation is indicated by an arrow 17.

Des coupes effectuées suivant les axes AA et BB permettent de mieux se rendre compte de la configuration engendrée par les dispositions différentes des segments 8 et 9.Cutting along the AA and BB axes make it easier to understand the configuration generated by the different provisions of the segments 8 and 9.

Fig. 7 shows the inclination of the cutting edges two successive segments, type 8 and 9, with respect to a circle concentric to the outside diameter of the grinding wheel, that is to say, in relation to the velocity vector of rotation, these angles, designated 12, 13 for a segment placed according to regulation 8 and 14, 15 for a segment placed according to paragraph 9. For the understanding of drawing includes indicative numerical values.

The grinding wheel and its segments shown in the figures serves to remove coatings on a mineral support (no represent).

It consists of a generally metallic body provided with holes allowing, during work chip evacuation via a vacuum cleaner, not shown right here. The segments consist of two layers, one first layer 3 hard and thin usually consists of a metal binder encircling fine diamond grains, the order of 0.2 mm diameter circumscribed in strong concentration, of the order of C60 in FEPA concentration, and a second layer 4 generally consisting of a binder metallic ring enclosing larger diamond grains ( even conventional abrasive), of the order of 0.6 mm circumscribed diameter in lower concentration, the order of C40 in FEPA concentration.

The cutting edges of the segment have a tilt (angle 5) to ensure a smooth cut positive, interesting in service because it forces the segment to penetrate the material and to engage the ridge under the coating.

The 2 unequal branches 1 and 2 of the segment and their placement under two separate provisions means that, in work, in diving, without advance movement of the machine, the same zone of coating is attacked according to two edges different cuts, which achieves work in passes crossed and promotes fragmentation of the chip; this phenomenon is more marked if the work is carried out "in swallowing "(the usual way of working). By progressing cleared area towards a packed area because relative to a fixed point, it's a total of 4 edges tilt that we will see scroll.

Il va de soi que l'on peut, sur le même outil, combiner des segments suivant plus de deux dispositions angulaires telles que les dispositions 8 et 9It goes without saying that we can, on the same tool, combine segments according to more than two provisions such as paragraphs 8 and 9

Segment layout according to mode 9 a the complementary advantage, in the case of work mode when swallowing, to realize, considering the inclination (angle 5) of segment outward, to make a positive cut interesting in the sense of the working edge, which force the segment to penetrate the material and to engage the edge under the coating. Engagement in the subject is realized along the short edge 2 of a segment placed according to the provision 9 and is not concentrated at one point.

The one-piece shape of the segment, which cutting edges, is inherently more robust than the combination of small segments placed according to varied orientations because it leads to the use of a smaller number of segments while ensuring at least the same functions.

Cet élément est plus aisé à manipuler ce qui permet d'automatiser les processus de fabrication et, vu sa plus grande surface de contact avec le support de meule 10, améliore les qualités de résistance mécanique requises par la norme EN 13236.This element is easier to manipulate which allows to automate the manufacturing processes and, given its more large contact area with the wheel support 10, improves the qualities of mechanical strength required by the standard EN 13236.
