Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a depilatory device comprising pain-relieving means, a depilatory device of the type comprising a rotary roller equipped with pliers intended to tear unwanted, unwanted hair from the human body.
  • This type of apparatus comprises pliers in the form of blades or discs arranged on a rotating roller, the clamps being caused to close and open periodically so as to clamp the hairs close to the skin and, respectively, to evacuate the hairs torn off by the rotation of the roller.
  • the pulling of hair is a very effective method against their regrowth, but often it causes significant pain.
  • the documents EP 0 671 136 and WO 99/13750 in the name of Applicant describe pins and brushes mounted fixed on the rotating roller carrying the clamps.
  • the brushes and spikes are supported by an elongate recessed area extending parallel to the alignment of the rotating roll clamps.
  • the brushes have a straightening effect of the hair before hair removal, while the pimples produce on the skin a massage effect, more or less accentuated generating a sensation of pain that masks the pain of hair removal.
  • brushes and especially pimples penetrating a certain thickness in the skin can cause irritation on the latter.
  • the vibrating frame perpendicular to the skin further includes a finger which follows a groove in the epilation head to describe an additional movement in a longitudinal direction relative to the skin.
  • this system can be implemented only with an oscillating drive mechanism of the epilation head which performs oscillations of very low amplitude, because such a finger placed on a pliers roll would be torn off during the rotation of the roll.
  • this oscillating movement mechanism is known to be ineffective for hair removal hair removal.
  • the document FR 2,745,992 in the name of the applicant describes an epilator whose epilation roller is surrounded by a stirrup mounted vibrating on the housing.
  • the vibration drive means are a little simplified compared to previous embodiments, the fact remains that the vibrating parts also mask the area to be epilated, which is inconvenient for the user.
  • the depilatory device is provided with means for tensioning the skin, these means being in the form of two articulated arms arranged on either side of the tweezers and actuated in pivoting or translation, independently of the tweezers , so as to stretch the skin during tearing and release immediately after uprooting.
  • a tension applied to the skin can cause pain and / or irritation, particularly in the bony areas of the body of the user.
  • the painter means are in the form of a shoe arranged next to the depilatory head, pad that performs a massage action in the plane of the skin being driven in an alternative translational movement with respect to the latter.
  • this pad increases the size of the device, which is inconvenient for a small device to be held in the hand.
  • the object of the invention is to remedy, at least in part, the aforementioned drawbacks and to propose a tweezers with a rotary roller with tongs comprising pain-relieving means intended to act mechanically on the zone depilatory when pulling hair in order to effectively soothe the pain felt during hair removal, apparatus which is of a small footprint, while being reliable in operation.
  • Another object of the invention is a depilatory device painter means that act during tearing, while leaving visible the area to be epilated.
  • An additional object of the invention is a depilatory device comprising painter means having a simplified structure and can be manufactured in large series at reduced cost.
  • a depilatory apparatus comprising a multi-part housing, enclosing an electric motor driving a rotary clamp roller and actuating means in a cyclic closing / opening movement of at least one pair pliers for tearing the hair from the skin, said housing comprising at least one upper cover wrapping the roller and defining an epilation window, because said cover is directly connected to the rotating roller, to its support or to a part of means for actuating the tongs so as to be vibrated into an alternative translatory motion in the plane of the skin, and that it is disengaged from the rest of the housing.
  • upper cover wrapping the roller and defining a depilatory window comprises a skirt-shaped piece forming the upper part of the housing, located in the extension of the lower gripping portion of the housing, the upper portion which directly surround the roll, optionally with its support, on all sides, while leaving an opening at the top.
  • This opening determines an epilation window by which the hairs of the area to be depilated can penetrate inside the clips for the purpose of tearing.
  • said cover is directly connected to the rotating roller, to its support or to a part of the actuating means of the clamps so as to be driven in vibration.
  • the hood is operated by a movable element of the epilating head, that is to say the rotating roller, its support or means for actuating the clamps, movable element that already performs an oscillating movement during operation of the apparatus.
  • the movement of the parts constituting the epilating head is thus directly used, without the interposition of an element or additional means which transforms the printed movement at the epilating head into an oscillating movement.
  • the cover is directly driven by this movable element of the epilation head in an oscillating movement, back and forth, and not in a continuous rotational movement at the same time as the rotating roller.
  • the cover can be, for example, driven in translation by being mounted on slides and pushed directly by the side flanges of the roller, or by the cams movable in translation, or by pushers carrying the pliers, pushers which are movable in translation or pivoting by being in contact with the rotating cams of the mechanism for actuating the clamps.
  • the cover can be directly attached to the support of the rotating roller, the two being completely integral so that the cover follows the movement of the part on which it is fixed permanently, without there being of relative motion between the two.
  • the cover can be fixed by gluing, screwing, fixing with a clip, overmolding, or by any other method of mechanical fixing.
  • this vibration of the head printed on the hood allows the latter to transmit the vibratory stress to the skin through its entire contact surface with the latter, which further improves the pain-killing effect of the vibrations produced by the tweezers.
  • Said cover is detached from the rest of the housing, including the portion intended for manual gripping of the latter to prevent the transmission of vibrations to the hand of the user.
  • the cover is spaced apart by a distance called clearance with respect to the lower part of the housing.
  • the perceived vibrations in the gripping area of the device interfere with the grip of the device, having adverse effects on the efficiency and accuracy of the operation. It is therefore important to isolate the gripping part with respect to the source of the vibrations.
  • the isolation of the source generating vibrations is done by dissociating the upper and lower parts of the housing, including the cover of the gripping area of the housing.
  • the housing of the apparatus into at least one movable part, integral with a moving or vibrating part, this part being the epilation head itself or its support or the means for actuating the clamps, and a second fixed part, isolated from the first, we obtain a simple and effective pain system, while being a small footprint. Shock absorbing means are no longer needed between the depilating head and its corresponding housing part or the cover, which makes it possible to obtain a more compact and more economical construction.
  • said cover is driven in an alternative translation movement in the plane of the skin.
  • This displacement in the plane of the skin produces in particular a rubbing massage action performed in an area adjacent to the hair removal zone.
  • rubbing a pain-sensitized area vigorously with pain has the effect of immediately relieving pain.
  • this action has an anesthetic effect, and that the pain due to hair removal becomes more bearable thereafter.
  • This massage also has a positive effect on skin irritation and post-depilatory itching.
  • said cover comprises two separate shoulders arranged on either side of the epilation window in the direction of the axis of rotation of the rotating roller.
  • the two shoulders of said cover extend on either side of the epilation window and are intended to come into contact with the skin in the depilating zone. By their skin contact surface these shoulders laterally delimit the width of the depilatory zone by performing massages on the lateral sides of the latter during epilation, while leaving visible the zone of skin to be depilated.
  • the two shoulders of said cover are moved synchronously.
  • the two shoulders perform parallel movements in the same direction, in the manner of the wipers, which confers the advantage of having stimulations parallel to the skin.
  • the two shoulders of said cover are driven in opposition in phase.
  • the hood thus has two shoulders that describe movements in the opposite direction, approaching and diverging alternately during operation, which gives the advantage of having stimulations parallel to the skin and to stretch the skin when spreading. shoulders.
  • said hood is mounted on one of the branches of the cradle supporting the rotary roller.
  • the cradle supporting the rotary gripper roller receives cyclically in its branches the reaction forces of the rollers coming into contact with the cams. These forces create vibrations that are transmitted integrally to the hood that is directly attached to the branches of the cradle.
  • said hood is mounted on one of the side flanges of the rotary roller.
  • the movement is printed on the flanges which delimit the package of tweezers and which is printed an alternating translation movement during operation of the device.
  • This movement is then transmitted to the hood that moves on the skin.
  • a movement of greater amplitude can be obtained.
  • the surface of contact with the skin of said hood is substantially flat or convex.
  • Such a surface ensures optimum contact with the areas of the body's depilatory skin, which makes the massage more effective.
  • the skin contacting surface of said hood has protuberances.
  • protuberances make it possible to massage the deeper layers of the skin at the same time as the massage is performed at the surface, the skin penetrating between the bottom surface of the hood and that of the protuberances.
  • the amplitude of the movement described by said cover is between 0.05 and 3mm.
  • said cover is driven in an oscillatory translation movement at a frequency equal to or greater than 30 Hz.
  • said cover and the rotating roller are pivotally mounted relative to the lower part of the housing.
  • FIG. 1 shows a depilatory device comprising a depilatory head constituted by a rotating roller 1 comprising a central shaft of axis 2 (FIG 2b) rotatably mounted in a cradle 12 and a cage formed of two flanges 3 , 4 holding together the drive rods of the clamps supported by the roller 1, this cage being coaxial with the axis 2.
  • the roller 1 comprises several pairs of clamps, each consisting of two blades side by side. The clamps are actuated by a cam mechanism receiving the drive of an electric motor 17, via a gear train 16, all these components being arranged in the housing 20 of the tweezer.
  • the mechanism for actuating the tweezers is of the type described in the document FR 2 758 060 .
  • a first series of depilatory blades is secured to a cage mounted coaxially on the roller shaft, the cage being formed by two lateral flanges 3,4 holding between them four blade drive rods.
  • the other series of blades is secured to a central walker mounted free to rotate about the axis shaft 2 of the rotary roller 1.
  • On each outer face 3.4 flanges is provided a nested cross cam device 5, but offset by a quarter of a turn relative to each other.
  • the cams 5 each come into contact with a pair of rollers 6 mounted with their axis 7 in a roller holder 8.
  • Two roller carriers 8 are provided, each being fixed on one of the lateral branches 14 of the cradle 12.
  • the components of the depilatory device of the invention are arranged inside a housing 20.
  • This housing consists of an upper housing 21 forming a cover for the rotary roller 1, and a lower housing 27 ( Fig. 1, 2a, 3a).
  • the lower housing 27 maintains, by means of dampers 19, the frame 18 supporting the depilating head, the gear train 16 and the motor 17.
  • the dampers 19 are relatively hard rubber pads, low clearance, having the role to damp the vibrations in the gripping portion of the housing 27.
  • the lower housing 27 can be made in one piece or in several parts 27a, 27b, 27c, 27d connected together, as is the case in the illustrated example in Figure 1.
  • the upper casing or casing 21 forms a casing for the rotary roller 1, a cutting being provided in its upper part to form the epilation window 26.
  • the cover 21 is designed to be directly attached to the support of the rotary roller 1, in particular to the lateral branches 14 of the cradle 12.
  • the cover 21 comprises means of attachment to the cradle 12 constituted by the flanges 24 (visible in FIG 3b, 3c) and the tenons 25 (visible in FIG 2b, 2c) which cooperate with the corresponding parts of the door -galet 8.
  • the roller holder 8 is supported by a branch 14 of the cradle 12 being directly attached thereto.
  • the roller holder 8 may for example be overmolded in a plastic material on the metal arm of the cradle, or it may be fixed by gluing, by rivets, etc. on the latter.
  • the roller holder 8 is a generally flat piece of surface comparable to that of the branch 14, which allows it a good attachment to the cradle branch 14.
  • the roller carriers 8 are provided with bearings 9 supporting rotationally the rotary roller 1.
  • FIG. 3c On the sides of the roller holder 8, on either side of its axis of symmetry, there are two attachment lugs 10 (FIG 3c), whereas a fastening clip 11 (FIGS. provided in the center of its lower part.
  • FIG. 3c it can be seen that the flanges 24 of the cover 21 bear against the lugs 10 of the roller holder 8 and in FIG. 2c that the clip 11 is applied to the post 25 of the cover 21.
  • the cover 21 thus comprises three points of fixing on each branch of the cradle, which allows him to be firmly attached to the latter and to follow his movement.
  • Other means of fixing the hood to the cradle may be envisaged, including gluing, screwing, riveting, or any other fastening means which provides a perfectly integral connection between the two components, without creating additional noise.
  • the cradle 12 has the role of a tension-retaining spring of the assembly of rollers, cams, cage and walker of the epilation head.
  • This spring is therefore subject to solicitations that give it a swinging back-and-forth movement, its two opposite arms 14 tending to follow the movement of the rollers on the cam ramps.
  • a pair of rollers is on an ascending ramp, while the pair of rollers located on the opposite branch of the cradle is at the same time on a descending ramp, so that the two arms 14 of the cradle 12 perform parallel movements, in the same direction, in the manner of a deformable parallelogram.
  • the cover 21 is directly attached to the branches 14 of the cradle 12, following the same movement as the latter.
  • the cover 21 is therefore advantageously made in two separate parts 22, 23 mounted with clearance one in the extension of the other.
  • the cover 21 thus consists of two parts: a right cover 22 and a left cover 23, which allows them to perform a movement in translation, without further soliciting the cradle 12.
  • the hood or upper housing 21 is mounted in the extension of the lower housing 27, a clearance 30 (Fig 2a, 3a) being formed between the two.
  • the clearance 30 allows the cover 21 to be detached from the lower housing 27, which ensures the relative movement of the first, 21, driven by the arms 14 of the cradle 12, relative to the second, 27, which is fixed.
  • an elastic seal may be inserted between the cover 21 and the lower housing 27, which seal has the role of preventing the transmission of movement between the two parts of the housing.
  • the rotary roller 1 is pivotally mounted about a pivot axis 15 of the frame 18.
  • the lower surfaces 22b, 23b (FIG 1) of the right cover 22, respectively hood left 23, have a rounded shape, the game 30 allowing them to move pivotally relative to the equally rounded surfaces of the portion vis-à-vis the lower housing 27.
  • the person using it actuates the slider 29, which allows the power supply of the electric motor 17 and the start of the rotary roller 1.
  • the apparatus is then positioned on an area of skin to be depilated, and moved on the latter, the hood 21 being brought into contact with the skin.
  • the bristles penetrating through the epilation window 26 between the tweezers are torn off by the rotation of the roll 1 and at the same time the shoulders 22a, 23a (FIG 1, 2c, 3c) of the cover 21 move in a direction oscillating movement in translation following the movement of the cradle 12.
  • the displacement of the shoulders 22a, 23a allows the apparatus to perform a rubbing massage in the plane of the skin of the zones immediately adjacent to the depilatory zone, which has the effect of soothing the pain felt during tearing.
  • the cover 21 is preferably made of a plastic material, for example ABS or POM.
  • the contact surface of the shoulders 22a, 23a with the skin is preferably smooth so as not to hurt the skin during the massage.
  • Rounded-tip massage protuberances or depressions may be provided on the skin-contacting surface of the shoulders 22a, 23a, which allows for training of the skin in addition to rubbing massage.
  • the skin contact surfaces of the shoulders 22a, 23a may have a rougher relief, for example having an exfoliating role.
  • the roll rotates at a speed of 1500 rpm
  • the cradle makes four rounds of rotation rotation of the roller, which generates an oscillating movement at a frequency of 100 Hz of the shoulders 22a, 23a.
  • a massage performed at this frequency has a pronounced pain-relieving effect.
  • apparatus comprising means for actuating the grippers of a hair removal roller in the form of combs supporting the axially movable blades under the effect of contact with cams located on the lateral flanges of said roller
  • the top cover of the housing could be directly related to said combs.
  • the combs could drive the hood during their axial movement of alternative translation, which would have the effect of rubbing massage in the plane of the skin.
