Definitions
- the invention relates to a lowerable door seal according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a generic door seal as sound insulation and as protection against drafts is known from EP-A-0'338'974. It consists essentially of a downwardly open, U-shaped guide profile rail, a sealing strip which can be displaced relative to the guide profile rail and a lowering mechanism for lowering or raising the sealing strip when the door is closed or opened.
- the lowering mechanism is described in DE-A-195'16'530.
- the sealing strip has a carrier profile rail and a one-piece, essentially U-shaped elastomeric sealing profile. When the door is closed, the sealing profile lies on the floor with a lower sealing lip. Furthermore, it is attached to the carrier profile rail on both sides, with legs that protrude beyond the attachment point and slide against the inner walls of the guide profile rail and form lateral sealing lips. Since this arrangement thus forms a triple seal, it has proven itself on the market.
- the sealing strip has an elaborate shape because it is designed in two or three parts, and also the sealing profile must be attached manually to the support rail.
- JP 10 238251 also discloses a lowerable door seal with a guide profile rail and a sealing strip which can be moved therein.
- the sealing strip is provided with elastic lips at its upper and lower ends, the upper lips sealingly resting against the inside of the guide profile rail and the lower lips against the floor.
- the upper lips are arranged on the upper end face of the sealing strip, whereby they are directed downwards. This has the disadvantage that they can easily break off. In addition, their contact area is relatively small.
- a lowerable door seal with a one-piece sealing strip is known.
- An upper part in turn forms a support profile which can be connected to the lowering mechanism and is therefore rigid.
- a lower part is flexible and forms a lower sealing lip.
- this door seal has only a simple seal.
- US-A-3'453'780 further discloses a door seal which has a lowerable rigid core.
- This core is provided with side knobs, which, however, do not serve to seal but to guide the core.
- the door seal according to the invention has a sealing strip with a carrier profile rail, on which sealing lips are integrally formed on the side.
- the sealing lips are preferably directed upwards or there are ribs projecting to the side.
- a lower sealing lip is also formed.
- the sealing lips or at least the lateral sealing lips, do not have to be attached to the carrier profile rail.
- the carrier profile rail can thus have a simple shape. It does not have to have any fasteners. It is also advantageous that the door seal can be made narrow.
- sound damping elements are provided at the upper end of the sealing strip so that the sealing strip strikes the guide profile rail as quietly as possible when it is lifted.
- damping elements are arranged at the upper ends of the carrier profile rail; in another embodiment, the lateral sealing lips protrude above the upper ends of the carrier profile rail and form the damping elements themselves.
- FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment of the lowerable door seal according to the invention. It essentially consists of a downwardly open, U-shaped guide rail 2, a sealing bar 3 mounted in it, which can be lowered and raised relative to the guide rail 2, and a lowering mechanism, not shown but well known, for lowering and raising the sealing bar 3, which is above the sealing strip 3 is arranged in the guide rail 2.
- the guide rail 2 is preferably made of a metal, in particular aluminum. However, it can also come from Plastic. It is usually fastened in a groove 10 embedded in a lower edge of the door 1 and extends over the entire length of the door. But it can also be attached to a door leaf by means of angle constructions. Other types of fastening are possible.
- the sealing strip 3 which has the same length as the guide profile rail 2, consists of a carrier profile rail 30, a lower sealing lip 31 and at least two lateral sealing lips 32.
- the carrier profile rail 30 has a substantially U-shaped cross section which is open at the top, whereby it has two has parallel, vertical legs 34 and at least one horizontal web 35 connecting them.
- the lowering mechanism is arranged in the groove 4 formed by the carrier profile rail 30.
- the lateral sealing lips 32 or legs are formed on the side surfaces of the support rail 30, more precisely on one of each of the vertical legs 34, and they slide against the inner walls 20 of the guide rail 2. In this example, they do not protrude above the legs 34, but are preferably shorter than them.
- the lower sealing lip 31 is suspended in a known manner in fastening elements molded onto the carrier profile rail 30. In a preferred embodiment shown here, however, it is also molded onto the carrier profile rail 30, more precisely at the lowest web 35.
- the sealing strip 3 is thus formed by a one-piece element.
- the sealing lips 31, 32 can be coextruded.
- the carrier profile 30 is rigid and thus consists of a harder plastic than the flexible, elastomeric sealing lips 31, 32. These exist preferably made of silicone rubber.
- the carrier profile rail 30 consists of a metal, in particular aluminum, then the sealing lips 31, 32, which in turn are preferably made of silicone rubber, are injection molded. If the sealing lips are injection molded, the carrier profile rail preferably has depressions or grooves (not shown here) at the injection points as attachment aids for the sealing lips.
- the lower sealing lip 31 has a U-shaped cross section and is in contact with the floor B when the door is closed.
- the lateral sealing lips 32 rest on inner walls 20 of the guide rail 2. As shown, they preferably have an angle, a first leg 32 ′ being connected at an acute angle to the carrier profile rail 30, so that it projects upwards. The acute angle is at least approximately 15 °.
- a second, free leg 32 ′′ runs at least approximately parallel to one of the inner walls 20 of the guide profile rail 2.
- the legs 34 of the carrier profile rail 30 have upper ends which are provided with a damping element 33 in order to dampen the sound produced when struck in the upper position.
- the damping element is a plastic cap, which is also co-extruded or molded. It is preferably made of PVC, silicone rubber or another suitable sound-absorbing material.
- the lateral sealing lips 32 protrude the upper ends of the legs 34 and, with their own upper ends, form the damping elements 33, which in their upper position are also on the underside of an upper web 21 of the guide profile rail 2, on upper, projecting lugs 22 of the guide rail or other elements of the support profile.
- FIG. 3 shows a further embodiment in which a plurality of lateral sealing lips 32 are provided in the form of protruding ribs or knobs.
- they are designed to be elastic, but they can also be designed to be relatively rigid.
- they have a semicircular cross section and extend at the same distance or at irregular intervals over the entire length of the vertical legs 34. This embodiment enables the door seal to be designed very narrowly.
- the lateral sealing lips 32 are designed as foils, one foil sheet each being formed on one side of the carrier profile rail.
- the foil sheet protrudes diagonally upwards.
- the sealing lips can be made from the same material as the carrier profile rail, and their thin walls make them flexible enough to ensure a seal and to slide against the inside of the guide profile rail.
- the lower sealing lip is formed by two downwardly projecting lamellae 31 ', which are each formed at one end on the lowest web 35 of the guide rail 30 and their other end is free and rests on the bottom B in the lowered state of the seal.
- This type of lower sealing lip can also be combined with the embodiments shown in the other figures instead of the U-shaped sealing lip.
- FIG. 5 shows an exemplary embodiment in which a lateral sealing lip and a lamella of the lower sealing lip are each formed as a one-piece sealing lip 36, the one-piece sealing lips 36 are formed on one side of the support rail in the lower edge region.
- This embodiment has the advantage that it is easy to produce, since sealing lips only have to be coextruded or injection molded at two points.
- the sealing lip is made in one piece. This means that our sealing lips are connected to each other via a web.
- the lowering seal according to the invention is simple to produce, inexpensive and relatively narrow, but nevertheless enables a triple seal.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a lowerable door seal according to the preamble of claim 1.
A generic door seal as sound insulation and as protection against drafts is known from EP-A-0'338'974. It consists essentially of a downwardly open, U-shaped guide profile rail, a sealing strip which can be displaced relative to the guide profile rail and a lowering mechanism for lowering or raising the sealing strip when the door is closed or opened. The lowering mechanism is described in DE-A-195'16'530. The sealing strip has a carrier profile rail and a one-piece, essentially U-shaped elastomeric sealing profile. However, the sealing strip has an elaborate shape because it is designed in two or three parts, and also the sealing profile must be attached manually to the support rail.
Zudem ist ihre Anlagefläche relativ klein.JP 10 238251 also discloses a lowerable door seal with a guide profile rail and a sealing strip which can be moved therein. The sealing strip is provided with elastic lips at its upper and lower ends, the upper lips sealingly resting against the inside of the guide profile rail and the lower lips against the floor. The upper lips are arranged on the upper end face of the sealing strip, whereby they are directed downwards. This has the disadvantage that they can easily break off. In addition, their contact area is relatively small.
Furthermore, a lowerable door seal with a one-piece sealing strip is known. An upper part in turn forms a support profile which can be connected to the lowering mechanism and is therefore rigid. A lower part is flexible and forms a lower sealing lip. However, this door seal has only a simple seal.
This core is provided with side knobs, which, however, do not serve to seal but to guide the core.
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a lowerable door seal which is easy to manufacture and which is stable is and still allows a triple seal.
This object is achieved by a lowerable door seal with the features of claim 1.
The door seal according to the invention has a sealing strip with a carrier profile rail, on which sealing lips are integrally formed on the side. In this case, the sealing lips are preferably directed upwards or there are ribs projecting to the side.
In a preferred embodiment, a lower sealing lip is also formed.
It is advantageous that the sealing lips, or at least the lateral sealing lips, do not have to be attached to the carrier profile rail. The carrier profile rail can thus have a simple shape. It does not have to have any fasteners. It is also advantageous that the door seal can be made narrow.
In a preferred embodiment, sound damping elements are provided at the upper end of the sealing strip so that the sealing strip strikes the guide profile rail as quietly as possible when it is lifted. In one embodiment, damping elements are arranged at the upper ends of the carrier profile rail; in another embodiment, the lateral sealing lips protrude above the upper ends of the carrier profile rail and form the damping elements themselves.
Further advantageous embodiments emerge from the dependent patent claims.

It essentially consists of a downwardly open, U-shaped guide rail 2, a
The guide rail 2 is preferably made of a metal, in particular aluminum. However, it can also come from Plastic. It is usually fastened in a
The sealing
The
If the
In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the
Diese Ausführungsform ermöglicht eine sehr schmale Gestaltung der Türdichtung.FIG. 3 shows a further embodiment in which a plurality of
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4, the
Das heisst, die unseren Dichtlippen sind über einen Steg miteinander verbunden.FIG. 5 shows an exemplary embodiment in which a lateral sealing lip and a lamella of the lower sealing lip are each formed as a one-
The lowering seal according to the invention is simple to produce, inexpensive and relatively narrow, but nevertheless enables a triple seal.
