Abstract

Es werden ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Strukturierung einer Oberfläche (10), welche wenigstens eine erste Schicht (12), die ein Polymer, bevorzugt Polystyrol, aufweist, umfasst, in hydrophile und hydrophobe Bereiche durch Erzeugen einer latenten Struktur der ersten Schicht (12) mittels einer zugeordneten Modifikationseinrichtung (16) zur Herstellung einer Druckform (10) für den Offsetdruck offenbart. Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren und die zugehörige erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung zeichnen sich dadurch aus, dass selektiv ein gasförmiges, leichtflüchtiges Lösungsmittel (18), beispielsweise ein Alkohol, ein Aldehyd, ein Ester oder dergleichen, als Modifikationsmittel über wenigstens ein Einwirkungszeitintervall auf wenigstens einen lokal begrenzten Bereich der Oberfläche (10) zugeführt wird. Die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung kann mit besonderem Vorteil insbesondere in einem Druckformbelichter oder in einem Druckwerk einer Druckmaschine zum Einsatz kommen.
