Abstract

Ein Kraftstoffeinspritzsystem für Brennkraftmaschinen, insbesondere Dieselmotoren, mit einem von einer Hochdruckpumpe (14) gespeisten Kraftstoffspeicher (15, 15a, 15b) (sog. Rail), der eine der Zylinderzahl der Brennkraftmaschine entsprechende Anzahl Injektoren (22-25) mit Kraftstoff versorgt, weist ein an den Kraftstoffspeicher dichtend angeschlossenes Druckbegrenzungsventil (49, 49a, 49b) mit einem Ventilgehäuse (51, 51b), einem Hochdruckbereich (Zulauf 56), einem Niederdruckbereich (Rücklauf 57; 73, 74), einem dem Zulauf zugewandten Ventilsitz (55), einem axial verschieblichen Ventilkörper (54) und einer den Ventilkörper in Richtung des Ventilsitzes beaufschlagenden Ventilfeder (52) auf.
Eine wesentliche Besonderheit besteht darin, dass das Druckbegrenzungsventil (49, 49a, 49b) - zumindest teilweise - in den Kraftstoffspeicher (15, 15a, 15b) integriert ist, derart dass zumindest der Ventilsitz (55) und der Ventilkörper (54) räumlich dem Kraftstoffspeicher (15, 15a, 15b) und die Abdichtung (69) des Druckbegrenzungsventils (49, 49a, 49b) gegenüber dem Kraftstoffspeicher (15, 15a, 15b) dem Niederdruckbereich des Druckbegrenzungsventils (49, 49a, 49b) zugeordnet ist.
