Indeed, the Applicant has found that the stagnation, or even the decrease in performance of a plate heat exchanger, occurring beyond a threshold value of plates, was mainly due to the separation between the phases of the refrigerant, intervening in the entry collection area of the exchanger.
- the presence of the perforations with which the dispenser is provided generates turbulences of the fluid and therefore ensures an effective mixing of the two phases which constitute it. Under these conditions, an efficient homogenization of this two-phase fluid is obtained along the collection zone, even in the case of an exchanger provided with a high number of plates. Furthermore, the distributor according to the invention ensures a good distribution of the two-phase fluid in these different channels, in the sense that each channel is not only supplied by a homogeneous mixture but that, moreover, the flow rates of two-phase fluids supplying the various channels are substantially identical.
- the distributor equipping the plate exchanger of the invention has a simple structure and generates low costs.
- this dispenser is particularly convenient to use, insofar as it can be attached at the same time as the fluid supply connection.
- this distributor is robust and induces little pressure drop. Finally, it generates little disturbance of the flow, when the cycles of the exchanger are reversed.
- Equipping the dispenser with a domed cap is advantageous. Indeed, this measure gives a particularly advantageous homogenization of the two-phase fluid, before its admission into the inlet collection zone.
- Providing means for increasing the speed of flow of the fluid is particularly advantageous. Indeed, these means generate turbulence which ensures an effective mixing of the two phases of the refrigerant.
- the presence of a conical body, or of a ball promotes the bursting of the refrigerant, and its division in the direction of the perforations of the plate.
