Abstract

The light fitting has an elongate lamp (1), e.g. a tubular gas discharge lamp, an adjacent concave reflector (3) and color filters (5) positioned on either side of the lamp, for altering the color spectrum of the emitted light received by the concave reflector. The color filters may be rotatable about an axis parallel to the lamp axis, or be displaced perpendicular to the lamp axis.

Description

The present invention relates to a luminaire according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a lamp is for example in the DE 44 43 916 A1 described. In this case, an existing from side reflectors and cross fins raster reflector is initially arranged under an elongated lamp, with the aid of which the largest proportion of the light emitted by the lamp is directed and emitted glare-free down. The use of such a raster reflector is advantageous, for example, in offices with a number of VDU workstations, since the light is to some extent cross-faded and therefore reflections can be avoided on the screens.

The lamp described in the above-mentioned document further has an outer reflector, on which the light emitted by the lamp laterally or upwards falls. In this way, the area surrounding the lamp is additionally illuminated, which on the one hand makes it easy to detect whether the lamp is turned on or not, but on the other hand also perceived by a viewer as much more pleasant than the light of a pure grid lamp, in which the entire Light is emitted only downwards. In this case, the outer reflector may have a diffusely reflecting surface in order to achieve the most uniform possible lightening of the area surrounding the lamp. However, another possibility is also to install a translucent (opal) disc below the outer reflector.

In the German utility model DE 297 10 475 U1 an interior light is described with a arranged in a reflector light source and a light source covering the outside space lighting cover.

It is an object of the present invention to improve such a lamp to the effect that new and visually appealing lighting effects can be achieved with it.

The object is achieved by a luminaire, which has the features of claim 1.

The luminaire according to the invention consists of a lamp and at least one concave curved reflector arranged behind or laterally behind the lamp, viewed in the emission direction. According to the invention are laterally of the lamp color filter, which are variable in their filtering effect, arranged such that only the on the concave curved reflector is changed radiated light in its color composition, while on the other hand, the light emitted by the lamp in the direction of radiation light is not affected in its color composition by the filter.

As a result, the area surrounding the lamp appears in a different color, so that different effects and moods can be generated by the variability of the filter effect according to the invention. For example, a much more pleasant atmosphere can be created by imparting a warmer hue to the light directed onto the concave reflector with the aid, for example, of a slightly yellowish or orange coloration of the color filter. In contrast, bluish light is perceived as rather cold, which is why in warmer areas would offer a blue color filter. Since the concave curved reflector itself does not have to be colored to achieve such lighting effects but can be white as usual, the area surrounding the lamp in the switched-off state still appears colorless or white, the effects just described appear only in the switched-on state of the lamp ,

Changing the color composition of light through appropriate filters is already out of the DE 39 08 148 A1 or the DE 446 406 known. However, at the time of the DE 39 08 148 A1 known light the entire light emitted by the lamp light can be changed color. In the DE 446 406 the light rays emitted in a certain direction hit color filters, whereby a certain area of the space appears in a different color. In contrast, in the luminaire of the present invention, only the reflector arranged behind or behind the lamp should appear in a different color, whereas the light component used for the actual illumination and emitted in the emission direction remains unchanged in color.

For the invention variability of the filter effect of the color filter, for example, a mechanism may be provided which enhances or attenuates the filter effect of the color filter. This can be done, for example, in an elongated lamp according to a development of the invention in that the filter is rotatable about an axis extending parallel to the lamp. The filtering effect then depends on the angle included between the color filter and the incident light.

In lights of this type, it is usually desirable that the concave curved reflector has a uniform luminance over its entire width. In order to achieve this, the concave reflector usually has a previously theoretically calculated curvature, which however has the consequence that it is then relatively high. In order to flatten the luminaire in its entirety is therefore in the invention provided that a teillichtdurchlässige diffuser is disordered in front of the concave reflector, which causes to a certain extent, an adjustment of the luminance across the width of the reflector. In a further development of the invention, this matching can also be assisted by the fact that, for example, the reflectivity of the reflector is different across its width, wherein it has a higher reflectivity in areas remote from the lamp than in areas closer to the lamp. Furthermore, further diffusers can be arranged laterally from the lamp or the color filter itself can be designed to be diffusely translucent.

Another development of the invention relates to a special embodiment of the filter. The lateral attachment of white crossbars direct view of the filter element is prevented, so that when viewing the entire light only the concave reflector appears colored.

Preferably, in front of the lamp is additionally a light distribution element, e.g. arranged a grid, grid, perforated plate or the like. Since the light emitted by this light distribution element remains unchanged in color, the luminaire according to the invention still fulfills its main task, namely effective illumination of the surrounding space.

According to a development of the invention, a further lighting effect can be achieved in that the concave reflector itself is part-leak-transparent. If, for example, the luminaire is a surface-mounted luminaire or a pendant luminaire, the ceiling area above the luminaire is additionally lightened. This, too, then appears in a hue corresponding to the color filter. In contrast, it can also be provided that, although the concave reflector is partially transparent, at least one further lamp is arranged above this reflector. This in turn can also be surrounded by a color filter, so that several different lighting effects can be achieved with different shades.

In addition to the two aforementioned examples of a ceiling-mounted luminaire or a pendant lamp, the luminaire according to the invention can also be configured as a recessed luminaire or in other forms.

In the recessed ceiling light shown in Fig. 1, the individual components of the lamp are arranged within a box-shaped container 8, which is sunk when mounting the lamp in the ceiling. The light source used in the present case is a rod-shaped lamp 1, for example a gas discharge lamp. In front of this lamp 1 is arranged as a light distributor element consisting of side reflectors and cross blades grid 2, via which a large part of the light emitted from the lamp 1 is emitted downwards. The concrete shapes of this grid 2 can be chosen so that the light is transversely faded to a certain extent. Alternatively, instead of a grid and a perforated plate or other optical element - for example, a diffuser or a prismatic structure - are used.

Further, the lamp 1 is spanned by a concave reflector 3, wherein the side wings are arranged substantially adjacent to the lamp 1. Between this reflector 3 and the upper edge of the grid 2, light entry areas 4 arranged next to the lamp 1 are formed, via which a small part of the light emitted by the lamp 1 is directed onto the reflector 3. This reflector 3 preferably has a white surface.

Within the light entry regions 4, two color filters 5 are arranged, which change the hue of the directed to the concave reflector 3 light. After switching on the lamp 1, the area below it is down through the grid 2 directed radiated and unaltered color light in the usual manner, while the reflector 3 in a color corresponding to the filter 5 - for example, blue - brightened.

Since the lamp shown in Fig. 1 only has a small height, only by the curvature of the reflector 3, no uniform luminance over its entire width can be achieved. For this reason, a partially translucent diffuser 6 is arranged in front of the concave reflector 3, with the aid of which the area surrounding the lamp 1 appears in a somewhat more uniform luminance. In order to further support the equalization of the luminance over the width of the reflector 3 and the diffuser 6, the two filters 5 can further be configured such that they direct, for example, the light to areas of the reflector 3 which are more remote from the lamp 1. Another possibility is to use as color filter 5 two colored diffusers. With the help of the measures just described can be achieved that despite the low height of the lamp, a relatively uniform luminance for the lamp 1 surrounding area is achieved.

In the embodiment shown in Fig. 1, the two color filters 5 are fixedly mounted in the lamp and can not be changed in their effect. In contrast, in the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the filtering effect and thus the color intensity of the light directed onto the reflector 3 can be changed. This is done by the fact that the two color filters 5 are rotatably mounted about a parallel to the lamp 1 extending axis X. Depending on the position of the color filter 5, the two light entry regions 4 are then effectively covered to a certain extent by the filters 5. By rotating the filter, the proportion of the color-changed light can be changed, wherein in extreme cases, the filter effect can be almost completely suppressed, so that the reflector 3 appears white.

The changing of the position of the two color filters 5 can be done for example via a controller connected to the light switch for the lamp. The embodiment shown in Fig. 2 for changing the filtering effect is advantageous in that no extra space is needed for the turning. However, another possibility (not shown) may also be that the two color filters 5 are displaced upwards by a suitable mechanism perpendicular to the lamp axis and removed from the light entry areas 4. This embodiment even offers the possibility of using a plurality of color filters of different colors or different different optical properties, which can be introduced into the two light entry regions 4 as desired.

Fig. 3 shows a further embodiment in which the luminaire according to the invention is designed as a surface-mounted luminaire. With regard to their structure, the luminaire shown in FIG. 3 is very similar to the two luminaires described above. The main difference is that the reflector 3 is additionally designed to be partially transparent. This has the consequence that the light color changed by the color filter 5 directed to the reflector 3 light is emitted not only on the reflector 3 and the diffuser 6 down, but is also used to lighten the overlying the ceiling area 9, resulting in another attractive lighting effect results. Also in this embodiment may be provided as shown in Fig. 2, that the two color filters 5 are rotatably mounted about an axis to adjust the filtering effect as desired.

In Fig. 4, another lamp according to the invention is shown, which is also designed as a surface-mounted luminaire, but has a different reflector shape. The reflector 3 is no longer integrally formed in this example, but consists of two laterally extending to the ceiling 9 and concavely curved side wings 3. Also in this case, between the top of the arranged under the lamp 1 grid 2 and the two side wings of the Reflectors 3 two light entry areas 4 formed in which according to the invention two color filters 5 - in turn rotatable about an axis X - are stored. The two diffusers 6 arranged in front of the reflector 3 also extend from the light entry areas 4 to the ceiling 9.

The second reflector 3 is in turn formed partially transparent, but this measure is not the ceiling brightening here. Instead, further lamps 7 are arranged in the two areas lying behind the reflector 3. The light of these two additional lamps 7 can also be used to further lighten the area surrounding the lamp 1, but in the color of the light emitted by the two lamps 7. These two lamps 7 can be surrounded by a color filter, not shown, so that can be achieved by a suitable control or dimming of the lamps 1 and 7 different lighting effects.

Dieser Halterung ermöglicht einen sehr einfachen Wechsel der Farbfilter 5.Finally, FIG. 5 shows a further luminaire according to the invention which, in terms of its structure, is similar to the luminaire in FIG. 4, but does not have a part-light-permeable reflector 3 and thus also no additional lamps. The light distributor element 2 designed as a diffuser in the present example has here at its two upper ends two elongated sockets 10, into which the two color filters 5 be used. This holder allows a very simple change of the color filter. 5

The detailed structure of the color filter 5 shown in FIG. 5 is shown in FIG. The to be inserted into the socket 10 fastener 11 of the color filter 5 is preferably as well as the diffuser designed as a light distribution element 2 opal white, so as not to exert any disturbing influence on the light effects. Only above the fastener 11 is the actual - for example, blue-colored - filter element 12. In the section in which the filter effect comes into play, also transverse webs 13 are provided. These transverse webs 13 are white and serve to prevent or minimize the direct view from below of the blue filter element 12. This ensures that when viewing the entire light only the concave reflector 3 appears colored.

Of course, the luminaire shape illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5 can also be formed as a suspended luminaire or pendant luminaire, in which case not more than 7 additional lamps 7 must be present above the reflector, but again the ceiling region 9 through the light entry regions 4 onto the reflector 3 thrown light can be brightened. Furthermore, the lights shown in FIGS. 1-5 can also be designed as recessed lights for visible rail systems or other ceiling systems.

The luminaire according to the invention is characterized in that new and visually appealing lighting effects can be achieved with the help of a few simple additional means. Furthermore, the additionally proposed measures make it possible to achieve a uniform luminance over the width of the concave reflector, and yet the lamp can be made relatively flat.
