Claims (5)

  1. Arrangement of a clamping device (1) for fixing panels (2), particularly glass panes, comprising two clamping jaws (3, 4) fitted on the lateral rim of the panel, said clamping jaws including on the inner side thereof cushions (5) made of an elastomeric material and snugly fitting against said panel (2) and being clamped against each, under the inclusion of said panel (2), by means of at least one damping screw, with a cavity (6) for receiving a sensor (7) which is fixed to the panel or glass pane (2) being provided on at least one clamping jaw (3, 4) of the clamping device (1), characterized in that the cushion (5) on the clamping jaw (3) includes a recess (9) adapted to the shape of the sensor (7) and with the dimensions of the cavity (6) on the respective clamping jaw for receiving the sensor (7) fixed to the panel or glass pane (2).
  2. Arrangement according to daim 1, characterized in that said cavity (6) surrounds said sensor (7) at a spacing which is as large as possible for an optimum free oscillation of the sensor for signal output.
  3. Arrangement according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said cavity (6) for said sensor (7) is adapted to the geometrical shape of the sensor to the greatest possible extent, under the addition of a sufficient safe distance for a non-contact mounting in the recess.
  4. Arrangement according to one of the claims 1 to 3, characterized in that said cavity (6) on said damping jaw (3) extends up to the base member (8) for fixing said clamping device (1) to a vertical member or to a wall.
  5. Arrangement according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least two clamping devices engage opposite rims or edges of the panel or glass pane (2) to be supported, in places where on said panel or glass pane (2) on opposite sides thereof, i.e. one time on the inner side and the other time on the outer side of the respective panel or glass pane (2), a sensor (7) is fixed in a way such as to be received by the respective cavity (6) on each of said two clamping devices in a hidden manner and inaccessible from outside.
