- the industrial building handling door comprises a blade which has a wall with a curved profile or inclined relative to the web and to the bearing face of the upright so as to constitute a guide slide with a flared profile.
- the industrial building handling door comprises a blade which has on the outside of the profile and over the entire height of the walls of the lips disposed respectively at the junction between said walls and the web to ensure a seal between said blades and the support face of the door jamb.
- the industrial building handling door comprises a blade which has a first vertical wall which is wider than that of the second vertical wall.
- the industrial building handling door according to the present invention comprises lips added to the profile of the blades by co-extrusion in a plastic material different from that of said blades.
- the industrial building handling door according to the present invention has an extension which is located above the last point of attachment of each blade against the bearing face of each upright.
- Figure 1 is a front view showing a flexible curtain door rolled up with a guide device according to the present invention.
- Figures 2a and 2b are perspective views illustrating the semi-rigid blades of the guide device according to the present invention.
- Figure 3 is a perspective view showing in detail the flared profile of the upper part of each semi-rigid blade of the guide device according to the present invention.
- FIGS. 1 to 3 show a handling door 1 comprising two lateral uprights 2 and 3 which are generally fixed against the vertical walls of an opening to be blocked.
- the opposite and vertical uprights 2 and 3 are interconnected in the upper part of the door 1 by a winding drum 4 of a flexible curtain 5.
- the flexible curtain 5 comprises sleeves 6 into which horizontal reinforcement crosspieces 7 are introduced, the ends of which cooperate with a guide device 8 provided on each upright 2 and 3.
- the uprights 2 and 3 are integral with a guide device 8 allowing the flexible curtain 5 to move between a closed position and an open position.
- Each guide device 8 comprises two semi-rigid blades 9 and 10 arranged one opposite the other to form on each upright 2 and 3, and over the entire height of the latter, a slide 11 for guiding the curtain 5 and horizontal crosspieces 7.
- FIGS. 2a and 2b show the blades 9, 10 of the guide device 8, provided on the upright 2, which are produced in an L-shaped or U-shaped profile, having sufficient elastic characteristics to be able to bend or deform when an external force is applied, either on the flexible curtain 5 or on said guide device 8.
- Each blade 9, 10 has a first vertical wall 12 which is connected to a second vertical wall 13, by a web 14 arranged in a plane substantially perpendicular to said walls.
- each blade 9, 10 can be, but not necessarily, arranged in a plane perpendicular to the web 14 and to the bearing face 19 of the vertical upright 2 of the door 1.
- each blade 9, 10 may have a curved or inclined profile relative to the web 14 and to the bearing face 19 of the vertical upright 2.
- each blade 9, 10 with a curved or inclined profile is directed in the direction of the vertical wall 13 to define with the wall 12 of the other blade a slide 11 with a flared profile over its entire height.
- each blade 9, 10 is previously curved or inclined during its manufacture in a direction which is identical to that of its possible deformation when an external force is applied, either on the flexible curtain 5, or on the guide device 8.
- the wall 13 is arranged in a vertical plane and perpendicular to that containing the bearing face 19 of the vertical upright 2 of the door 1.
- the blades 9 and 10 have on the outside of the profile, and over the entire height of the walls 12 and 13, lips 20 and 21 arranged at the junction between said walls and the web 14.
- the lips 21 and 21 provide a dustproof seal between the blades 9, 10 and the bearing face 19 of the upright 2 of the door 1.
- the lips 20 and 21 can be attached to the profile of the blades 9, 10 by co- extrusion in a plastic material different from that of said blades which is more flexible and which ensures a better seal between said blades and the bearing face 19 of the upright 2.
- each vertical wall 12 is placed one opposite the other to constitute the guide slide 11, while each sail 14 comes against the bearing face 19 said amount.
- each blade 9, 10 has a greater width than the wall 14 than that of the vertical wall 13, allowing better guidance of the flexible curtain 5 and crosspieces 7 during movement.
- Each blade 9 and 10 is retained in its upper part on the upright 2 by a fixing pin 15 which is constituted by a bolt 16 passing through the web 14 and the bearing face of said upright, and a nut 17 cooperating with the threaded part of the bolt.
- the lower parts of the blades 9 and 10 are kept distant from one another by means of another fixing axis 18 identical to that 15, and integral with the upright 2 .
- the number of axes of attachment of the blades 9 and 10 against the upright 2 can vary depending on the height of said blades and the rigidity of the connection to be obtained.
- each wall 12 has an extension 22 which is inclined relative to said wall towards the outside of each blade.
- each extension 22 is obtained during the manufacture of each blade 9, 10 so that the guide slide 11 has, during the fixing of said blades one opposite the other on the upright 2 in its upper part, a flared profile in cone portion.
- each extension 22 is inclined in the direction of the exterior of each blade 9, 10 relative to the corresponding wall 12, to facilitate the reintroduction of the flexible curtain 5 after unfolding inside the guide rail 11.
- Each extension 22 has a certain elastic flexibility in order to be able to struggle laterally with respect to the wall 12 and to the upright 2, to allow the introduction of the flexible curtain 5 from the outside towards the inside of the slide 11.
- extension 22 that is to say that the more the extension 22 extends above the wall 12, the more its flexibility is increased and will facilitate the reintroduction of the horizontal stiffening crosspieces 7 and of the flexible curtain 5 inside the guide rail 11.
- each wall 12 The extensions 22 of each wall 12 are located above the last upper fixing axis 15, allowing the retention of each blade 9, 10 against the bearing face 19 of the upright 2 of the door 1.
- the web 14 has an inclined face 23, the highest part of which is at the level of the connection line between the extension 22 and the wall 12.
- the height of the wall 13, connecting at the lowest part of the inclined face 23 of the web 14, is less than that of the wall 12 facilitating the arrival of the guide elements of the flexible curtain 5 against the extension 22, when its last ones are outside the slide 11.
- the inclined face 23 avoids tearing and damaging the guide elements of the flexible curtain 5 when it is reintroduced into the guide slide 11.
- FIG. 4 shows, for example, the elastic deformation of the vertical wall 12 relative to the web 14 secured to the upright 2 of the blade 9 when an external pressure force is applied to the flexible curtain 5.
- the elastic deformation of the straight wall 12, curved or inclined relative to the web 14 is generally directed in the direction of the exterior of the slide 11 to allow the horizontal stiffening cross-members 7 and the flexible curtain 5 to unfasten.
- the elastic deformation is directed in the extension of the curved or inclined profile, in order to facilitate the expulsion of the horizontal stiffening crosspieces 7 and of the flexible curtain 5 of the slide 11. It is found that the material used for each blade 9 and 10 allows the wall 12 to undergo elastic deformation under the pressure of an external force and to return to its original position without deterioration.
- the elastic deformation of the blades 9 and 10 during, for example, a blockage of the flexible curtain 5, or a side impact allows the unfolding of the horizontal stiffening crosspieces 7 without risk of deterioration of the latter and of said blades.
- each blade 9, 10 must be able to deform and reach an arrow of determined value without undergoing plastic deformation. It is easy to understand that the value of the deflection is given as a function of the mechanical characteristics of the material and of the profile of the blade 9, 10.
- the material used for the blades 9 and 10 prevents the formation and adhesion of ice when the handling doors are used to isolate parts whose internal temperatures are different.
- the material used for the manufacture of blades 9 and 10 belongs to the family of polyethylenes.
- the distance between the blades 9 and 10 arranged one opposite the other on each upright 2, 3 can vary to present a more or less wide guide slide 11.
