  • a powder coating system with a plurality of treatment stations, such as a powder oven, a powder booth, a pretreatment station or a Wash tunnel, a water dryer, and further with a Conveyor for transporting the workpieces.
  • the invention relates to a coating method for coating workpieces, in particular for powder coating or powder enameling of rims or vehicle body parts, in which the workpieces by means of a Föderers by a coating room to be moved.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to provide an improved Powder coating plant for powder coating of workpieces to create, with the higher quality powder coating is achievable, and the aforementioned disadvantages to fix.
  • the conveyors according to the preamble are easy to fall through Powder residues are contaminated and prone to significant disturbances, especially if the chains of the conveyor directly with downstream dryers (stoves) are connected. Further affects the arrangement of the conveyor within the coating room detrimental to the quality of the coating because of the conveyor due to its moving parts, greases and the like to impurities within the powder space leads. Partly the coating powder is at all not recoverable. With an overspray rate of 30% means this at a powder throughput of 1000 kg / day a waste quantity of 300 kg of coating powder per day. That's why in the bottom of the coating room a slot feedthrough for performing Workpiece carriers provided and the conveyor essentially vertically arranged below the slot feedthrough.
  • the slot feedthrough is expediently provided with a sealing lip sealed to the underlying conveyor against falling To protect powder residues.
  • the conveyor only through the slot leadthrough with the coating space in conjunction with a cover above the conveyor is provided for the protection of the conveyor and the coating room down through the bottom, preferably substantially airtight is completed.

  • connection channels or covers with other parts be connected to a powder coating system, such as through connection channels to the adhesive water dryer and / or to Cooling water zone after the adhesive water dryer and / or to the powder kiln, so that before and after the powder booth no particles or dust or other residue from the assembly hall the workpieces can fall.
  • the object is achieved in a Powder coating plant with a plurality of treatment stations, like a powder booth, a water dryer, a Powder furnace, a wash tunnel, and with a conveyor to Transport of workpieces through the individual stations solved that the conveyor below the bottom of at least one the stations is arranged.
  • the conveyor below the powder oven (Baking oven), the washing tunnel, the water dryer or a arranged at another station this also leads to a significant improved quality of the powder coating.
  • Another advantage is that the outer surface of the relevant stations, such as the dryer or the baking oven, is reduced, resulting in a lower cost Construction results. Also, very often reduces the circulating air power and thus the investment costs or the energy costs be lowered, as Einbrennhuntn kept smaller can be and therefore less air circulation is needed at the same Air speed in the baking oven. Usually the circulating air sweeps over workpieces, workpiece carriers and conveyor chain. According to the invention circulates the circulating air practically only over the workpieces so that no unnecessary circulating air is circulated must become. Thus, the active surface is reduced in the baking oven, which needs to be cleaned again and again. This results also improved product quality.
  • the conveyor can also below cooling zones or cooling areas below those in question Station or process zone.
  • a complete Separation between procedural level with the individual Processing stations such as a pretreatment station or wash tunnel, a water dryer, a powder oven, and reached an underlying conveying level.
  • a complete one Separation in the form of a only through feedthroughs interrupted closed ground cover is possible. This has the additional advantage that is based on the procedural Level no conveyor chains at all.
