Abstract

The Cremona lock has a lock (4) formed with an engaging roller (6) sliding with respect to a head (9) and cooperating with a keeper (12) on the outer frame (3). The lock has a blade (14) with latches (15) to cooperate with the roller to move it when actuated by the lock (4) between inactive and active positions. The blade has a latch finger (18).

Description

The invention relates to a stay for door leaf, French window or similar fitted with a locking fitting, such as a cremone bolt, acting on at least one organ of locking in the form of a roller mounted sliding in front a headrest and able to cooperate, in the locked position, with a keeper arranged in correspondence on the sleeping frame or on an adjacent leaf of this door, window or the like.

The present invention will find its application in the field of the building hardware and related, everything particularly to devices intended to ensure the maintenance of a door or window leaf in a position ajar, while being secure.

Through document FR-A-2.734.303 we know now already a parting device for window, French window or similar to two leaves. Especially one of these is fitted with a locking fitting, of the type lever or lever bolt, acting on at least one rod maneuver extending along the front upright of this leaf and one end of which is capable of cooperating with a keeper arranged rebate on the upper or lower cross member of the frame sleeping.

In fact, the half-open device is defined by at least a blade mounted in the rebate of the second leaf and comprising a part extending above the first leaf and at the level of which are made two openings capable of accommodating the end of the operating rod. So one of these openings is located to the right of the strike on the frame dormant when the two leaves are closed. About the second opening, this end of said operating rod is able to engage when the two leaves are slightly ajar.

It is clearly understood from the foregoing description that the half-open device known from document FR-A-2,734,303 can only be applied to doors or windows with two leaves.

For this we have already imagined a half-gate that we just fix in rebate on the frame of the door or window through a suitable fixing plate. Sure the latter is pivotally mounted, following a race predefined angle, a link subjected to the action of means elastic return tends to push it back into the half-open position, i.e. separated from the plan of said door or window. By the way, the end of this link includes a light with which coincides the free end of an operating rod which, in the position of locking, is likely to appear protruding, depending the case, in high or low cross of the leaf to be ajar.

In short, after unlocking the cremone bolt, the leaf is brought into a partially open position, possibly under the impulse of the elastic return means acting on the link of the stay. At that time said cremone bolt can be returned to its locked position having for consequence the engagement of the end of the rod in the opening at the end of the link.

If such a system is proven to work simple and particularly practical, the fact remains that when the leaf is open the link of this stay is brought, under the action of elastic return means, into a projecting position relative to the plane of the frame of so that you can hang on unexpectedly.

It will be noted, in particular, that it is difficult to equip such known half-openers with doors or windows who currently do not. Indeed, the adjustment and installation of the constituent elements of this spacer require, very often the intervention of a qualified operator.

The present invention is therefore intended to provide a solution to the aforementioned drawbacks through a which even the door or window leaf open, does not define any protruding part, whether in periphery of the frame or of said leaf. This ajar remains, however, dependent, in its operation, on locking mechanism fitted to the door or window, in that sense that it is through this locking mechanism that it is likely to be made active.

Furthermore, one of the features of the present invention consists of what this spacer is capable of equipping, retrospectively, a door or window without it being necessary, however, to call a qualified operator, taking into account that this spacer can be attached to a leaf without the need for machining any at the level of the latter or the fitting of lock with which it is fitted.

To this end, the invention relates to a gate for leaf door, French window or similar fitted with a fitting locking, such as a lever, acting on at least one locking member in the form of a sliding roller at the front of a headrest and able to cooperate, in position of locking, with a strike arranged in correspondence on the sleeping frame or on a leaf adjacent to this door, window or similar, characterized in that it is defined by a blade comprising provided attachment means capable of cooperating with at least one roller for its translation drive, under the impulse of the mechanism of the locking fitting, between an inactive position and an active position in which said blade has a catching finger, offset in the direction of the frame standing in relation to the plane of said leaf and provided suitable to cooperate with a keeper normally intended to accommodate a roller in the leaf locking position on said frame sleeping.

In short, we just hang, on at least one of the rollers of the locking fitting, the crank which thus takes its movement on this roller to reach, from a position of release and normal opening of the leaf, a position of blockage in which this leaf is kept slightly apart of its sleeping frame. In addition, this ajar opens up profit the waste with which is normally brought to cooperate, in the leaf closed position, the roller ensuring the transmission of movement. So the adaptation of such ajar does not require any recovery at the level of said frame sleeping.

According to another feature of the invention, the blade corresponding to the opener, beyond its means attachment intended to ensure power take-off at level of a roller, cooperates with guide means attached to the headrest of the locking fitting.

Advantageously, these guide means are attached to this headrest through the fixing screw which allows it is integral with the carpentry.

According to another feature of the invention, means of guidance are associated with the stay and / or strike plate with which is able to cooperate with the hooking finger with a view to guide it to reach one or one of the positions ajar of the leaf.

The advantages which flow from the present invention consist in that the breather is substantially in the form in one piece, very simple design, which can be fitted with original or retrospectively any type of leaf comprising a locking fitting, such as a lever, acting on at least one locking member in the form of a roller provided suitable to cooperate with a strike made at the level of the frame said door, window or the like.

Furthermore, through the means provided capable of guiding the hooking finger to reach either position ajar of the leaf, we come to answer a problem of wrong operation which could occur when a user seeks, specifically, to confer on a door leaf or window a partially open position under the action of the fitting normally used to lock it.

Understanding this description will be facilitated by referring to the figures of the attached drawings.

Figure 1 is a schematic and perspective representation a window with the leaf ajar and on the upright before which appears a spacer according to the invention.

Figure 2 is a schematic representation in section of front uprights, respectively, of the frame and the leaf window in the closed position.

Figure 3 is a representation similar to Figure 2, illustrating these front uprights of the frame and the leaf when it is ajar.

Figure 4 illustrates schematically and partially the locking fitting corresponding to a lever by through which it is taken movement by the spacer, here shown in the active position, i.e. leaf locking relative to the frame.

Figure 5 is a representation similar to Figure 4, the spacer being shown in an inactive position corresponding to the unlocking position of the fitting locking.

Figure 6 is a schematic and plan view, seen rear face side of the upper plate corresponding to means for guiding the ajar on the headrest.

Figure 7 is a schematic view in elevation and in section partial of the rear plate of these guide means.

Figure 8 is a similar representation of Figure 4 corresponding to another embodiment of the stay.

Figure 9 corresponds to an embodiment where the striker can come and engage between the locking pin and the cremone bolt or bolt-lock, this to allow the leaf to occupy a second ajar position.

Figures 10, 11 and 12 illustrate the positioning of the roller with respect to the strike, after unlocking and before engagement progressive of the catching finger in the latter.

Figure 13 is again a representation similar to the Figure 4 or Figure 8, the latching finger being of section reduced to save space for the rebar the door or window.

As shown in Figure 1, the present invention relates to the field of fittings for door, window or the like.
Thus, in this figure 1 has been illustrated a window 1 comprising a leaf 2 pivotally mounted on a sleeping frame 3, knowing, in this regard, that the present invention is in no way limited to a carpentry of the door or window type comprising only a single leaf.

Furthermore, this leaf 2 of window 1 is provided with a locking fitting 4, in particular a lever, allowing to act, through an operating rod 5 visible in Figures 3, 4 and 5, on at least one locking in the form of a roller 6 which projects into rebate 7 of this leaf 2.

Note that the command in translation of the rod (s) of operation 5 is obtained through a control mechanism appropriate on which the user can act, in particular by via a control handle 8.

In the case illustrated in FIG. 1, this fitting of locking 4 in the form of a lever, takes position at level of a notch in the rebate 7 of the leaf 2, this tapping being closed by means of a headrest 9 housing the operating rod (s) 5. These extend, especially along the front pillar 10 of this leaf 2.

To return to the locking member in the form of a roller 6 mounted sliding at the front of the headrest 9, it is intended for come engage, in the locked position, in a keeper 12 that receives, here, the sleeping frame 3 knowing, precisely, that this keeper 12 can still be fitted to an adjacent leaf.

In particular, the present invention relates to a spacer 13 with which such a leaf 2 can be fitted door, window or the like 1. This spacer 13 is defined by a blade 14 comprising, on the one hand, hooking means 15 provided capable of cooperating with at least rollers 6 for ensure its movement under the impetus of the latter and therefore the control mechanism of the locking fitting 4, in particular from an inactive position 16, visible in the Figure 5 and corresponding to the unlocking position of this locking fitting 4, in an active position 17 represented in FIG. 4 corresponding, conversely, to the locking position of this locking fitting 4.

To return to the attachment means 15, these can be present, as shown in Figures 4, 5 and 9 to 13, under shape of a hook 15a that includes this blade 14 and of which the opening is of section adjusted to the roller 6.

In the context of another embodiment illustrated in the Figure 8, these attachment means 15 can be defined by a eyelet 15b at the level of said blade 14 allowing its engagement on a roller 6 as shown in Figure 8.

Furthermore and as illustrated in these various figures, a such hook 15a or an eyelet 15b can be provided at its internal periphery 15c of tongues or bosses 15d likely to be inserted under the head of the roller 6, in fact between the latter and the headrest 9, to provide real attachment of the blade 14 on said roller 6.

In the active position 17 of the stay-open device the blade 14 comprises, offset from the plane 19 of the leaf 2 in a direction opposite to the opening direction 20, a finger attachment 18 coming to engage in the keeper 12 provided, normally, to accommodate a roller 6 when the leaf 2 is not ajar, but closed on said sleeping frame 3.

Note that the offset between the fastening finger 18 and the plane 19 of the leaf 2, which we imagine passing through the axis of the roller 6, corresponds, at most, to the distance 21 separating, rebate, the axis of this roller 6 relative to the edge of outer covering 22 of the frame 3, distance 21 measured when leaf 2 is closed on the latter.

With particular reference to Figure 13, we observe that there is shown a hooking finger 18 of section 18 'lower than the opening 12' in the striker 12 ce which, of course, results in a wider reduced blade 14 corresponding to the stay 13 for allow it to adapt to a smaller distance 21, without that this is at the expense of the openness provided by this spacer 13.

However, to avoid that in this ajar position as shown in figure 13 and corresponding to the engagement in the keeper 6 of the hooking finger 18, this last, being of reduced section 18 ′, cannot move freely in this keeper 6, in particular under the effect of wind, on this hanging finger 18 can be engaged an element flexible shock absorber 18 "shown in broken lines in this figure 13. Such an 18 '' element can appear under form of a rubber cap from which a plurality extend of flexible strips or pins.

As can still be seen in FIG. 9, a spacing 40 such can be respected between the latching finger 18 and the roller 6 which it can engage the keeper 12 to allow the leaf 2 to occupy a second ajar open position.

Advantageously, the spacer 13, defined by the blade 14, is of symmetrical configuration with respect to a median plane transverse 23 allowing its application on the left or on the right leaf 2.

Furthermore, according to another characteristic of the present invention, this blade 14 corresponding to the spacer 13 cooperates with guide means 24 associated with the headrest 9 of the locking fitting 4. In fact, such guide means 24 are not only defined to guide the stay 13 during its movements under the impulse of the roller 6, but, by elsewhere, maintain it in relation to leaf 2.

According to a preferred embodiment, these guide means 24 consist of at least one upper guide plate 25, illustrated in Figure 6, which, with the headrest 9 comes to take sandwich said blade 14. In this regard, said guide plate 25 has at least one opening 26 for the passage of a screw fixing 27 coming through an oblong opening 28 in the blade 14 defined with a length at least equal to the stroke likely to be communicated to the spacer 13 sous the impulse of the roller 6.

Preferably, the fixing screw 27 corresponds at least to one of those contributing to the fixing of the headrest 9 on the leaf 2.

In order to be able to tighten the upper plate 25 of the guide means 24 on this headrest 9, while keeping at the blade 14 a functional clearance, under said plate 25 extends a boss 29 provided suitable, again, to pass through the opening oblong 28 in the blade 14 so as to be able to bear, as the case may be, on said headrest 9 or, in accordance with the mode of realization illustrated in the figures, on a plate lower 30 interposed between this headrest 9 and the blade 14 so as to prevent it from rubbing on the previous during his travels.

Preferably, this lower plate 30, visible in the Figure 7, includes clip means 31 provided adapted to cooperate with the upper plate 25 in order to make them together, while sandwiching, with a functional game, the blade 14.

Note that these guide means 24, defined by the plate upper 25 and lower plate 30, are designed, preferably, in a material with a low coefficient of friction, more particularly in synthetic material, of so as to facilitate the sliding of the blade 14 corresponding to the spacer 13.

Finally and as visible in Figures 2 and 8 to 13, in its direction opposite to the latching finger 18, the blade 14 can present an extension 32 provided capable of bearing on the rebate edge 7 of leaf 2 so as to oppose a effort, generated for example during an attempted break-in ajar position of said leaf, effort which would tend to rotate the blade 14 about an axis parallel to the headrest 9. Furthermore and as shown more particularly in FIG. 2, this extension 32 can be finish with a return supported by a shoulder 33 in rebate 7 of leaf 2. This shoulder 33 may correspond to strike 34 fitted on the periphery and on the internal side leaf 2. It thus defines a planned covering edge suitable for surface mounting on the internal side of the frame 3 when the door, window or the like is closed.

Advantageously, again, it can be combined, directly to this spacer 13 and / or to the keeper 12 with which is brought to cooperate the latching finger 18, guide means 42 having the function of guiding the latter to reach the or one of the half-open positions. In particular, these means 42 are intended to facilitate engaging the latching finger 18 in the keeper 12 and / or the engagement of the latter between said gripping finger 18 and the roller 6 and / or provide a deflection function for said hooking finger 18 relative to the striker 12 in the event of a false maneuver.

In short, this is to avoid, when a user tries to bring the leaf of a door or window in a partially open position in acting on the bolt-type locking fitting or cremone bolt, that this user carries out a false operation in looking for this position because it would be difficult to spot, for example.

In particular, as can be seen in FIG. 10, such means guide 42 may consist, in a completely unlocked from the locking fitting, at a distance separating the free end 43 from the hooking finger 18 by compared to the strike input 44 which is greater than the distance separating this same door entry 44 with respect to the roller 6, characteristic which is highlighted in figure 10 at across the gap referenced 45.

Thus, we are quite certain that, starting from a position of closing and in case of unlocking, once the roller 6 removed from keeper 12, even if the locking fitting has not not been fully unlocked, the latching finger 18 of the stay 13 cannot hook said striker 12.

Such guide means 42 can also be defined by one end 43 of the hooking finger 18 of tapered shape or at least chamfered on at least one of its 46 sides perpendicular to the direction of movement of leaf 2, as shown in Figures 10 to 12.

In particular, it will be observed that within the framework of a maneuver leaf 2 opening in order to bring it into a half-open position, it is first ordered on unlocking the locking fitting 4, control which, as shown in Figure 10 may not be complete. In in all cases it is followed, almost immediately, by a lock command. It may follow, as shown in FIG. 11, that the keeper meets the roller 6, but in reason for the initial movement communicated to leaf 2 and its rounded shape, it will tend to escape from this keeper 12, movement resulting in presenting for engagement in the latter the hooking finger 18. This being chamfered on its side 46, it will then have a tendency to penetrate automatically in the opening 12 ′ of this keeper 12, orientation which can be accentuated through a mouthpiece frustoconical of this opening 12 '.

Note, as shown in Figures 8 to 12, that this mouth of opening 12 'in strike 12 can go in flaring on one or each of its sides.

Furthermore and as has been made visible in the figures 4 and 5, 8 and 9, one of the sides 47, 48 delimiting laterally the opening 12 ′ in the keeper 12 can be substantially more short to make locating easier, via of the latching finger 18, of the entry of this opening 12 '.

Thus, starting from an embodiment corresponding to Figures 4 and 5, when a user tries to bring a leaf 2 in half-open position when it was previously open, at when closing this leaf it will tend to order the locking of fitting 4. If this operation is of amplitude too large, the catching finger 18 will tend to meet the keeper 12. At this moment it will be enough for him to proceed to a reverse operation, until the hooking finger 18 emerges from side 48, facing inward the house, the striker 12. If immediately after this clearance with respect to said strike, this user stops his control, the amplitude of the movement conferred on the finger hooking 18 will be insufficient to allow the latter to cross the opposite side 47 delimiting the opening 12 'in the keeper 12. Under these conditions, it necessarily comes to lie to the right of this opening 12 '.

In the configuration corresponding to Figures 9 to 12, the side external 47 delimiting this opening 12 ′ in the keeper 12 is shorter than the inner side 48, so that we have privileged the facility to find the half-open position leaf 2 starting from the closed position of the latter.

It is understood, of course, that the different guide means 42, alluded to above, can be taken individually or in combination with each other, without that this does not change the spirit of the present invention.

Claims (20)

Door leaf, door or window or similar (1) with a locking fitting (4), such as a cremone bolt acting on at least one locking member in the form of a roller (6) sliding in front of a headrest (9) and able to cooperate, in the locked position, with a keeper (12) arranged in correspondence on the sleeping frame (3) or on a leaf adjacent to this door, window or the like ( 1), characterized in that it is defined by a blade (14) comprising hooking means (15) provided capable of cooperating with at least one roller (6) for its translational control under the impulse of the mechanism of the locking fitting (4), between an inactive position (16) and an active position (17) in which said blade (14) comprises a latching finger (18) offset in the direction of the frame (3) relative to the plane (19) of said leaf (2) and provided capable of cooperating with a keeper (12), normally intended to accommodate a roller (6) in the locked position of the leaf (2) on said frame (3). A spacer according to claim 1, characterized in that the offset between the latching finger (18) and the plane (19) corresponding to the leaf (2) and passing through the axis of the roller (6) is equal, at most , at the distance (21) separating the axis of this roller (6) relative to an external covering flange (22) of the fixed frame (3), distance (21) measured when the leaf (2) is closed on this latest. A spacer according to claim 2, characterized by the fact that between the hooking finger (18) and the roller (6) there is a spacing such that it can engage the keeper (12) in order to give the leaf (2) a second ajar open position.
