    • dans le cas de capsules avec joint, on a pris un joint standard du commerce découpé en rondelles de diamètre sensiblement égal à H (32,8 mm),

    Généralement, il convient d'insérer entre la paroi métallique (5) et l'insert (2) ledit élément complémentaire (6), avant de sertir le bord (510) de la jupe métallique sur l'extrémité inférieure (41) de l'insert.     Claims (22)

    1. Composite screw cap (1) comprising an assembly a) of a plastic insert (2) comprising a head (3) fitted with a leakproof sealing arrangement (31, 32) and a threaded skirt (4), and b) a metallic casing (5) in which:
      1) the said metallic casing (5) comprises a head (50) that covers the head (3) of the said insert (2) and comprises a metallic skirt (51) which covers the said skirt (4) of the said insert (2),
      2) the said metallic skirt (51) comprises an edge (510) that is crimped to the said insert (2) typically at the lower end (41) of the skirt (4) of the said insert (2), in order to ensure the said assembly of the said metallic casing (5) and the said insert (2),
         characterised in that the said cap (1) comprises a way of providing volume and possibly weight to the part of the said cap situated above the said leakproof sealing arrangement (31, 32), the said means comprising a void (30) made in the said insert (2) thus forming an added height above the leaktight sealing arrangement, the void possibly containing a means of increasing the weight.
    2. Composite screw cap (1) comprising an assembly a) of a plastic insert (2) comprising a head (3) fitted with a leakproof sealing arrangement (31, 32) and a threaded skirt (4), and b) a metallic casing (5) in which:
      1) the said metallic casing (5) comprises a head (50) that covers the head (3) of the said insert (2) and comprises a metallic skirt (51) which covers the said skirt (4) of the said insert (2),
      2) the said metallic skirt (51) comprises an edge (510) that is crimped to the said insert (2) typically at the lower end (41) of the skirt (4) of the said insert (2), in order to ensure the said assembly of the said metallic casing (5) and the said insert (2),
         characterised in that the said cap (1) comprises a way of providing volume and weight to the part of the said cap situated above the said leakproof sealing arrangement (31, 32), the said means comprising a volume delimited by the insert (2) and the metallic casing and containing an element to increase the weight, and in that the head (50) of the said metallic casing (5) completely covers the head (3) of the said insert (2).
    3. Cap according to either claim 1 or 2 in which the said crimping edge (510) of the said metallic skirt (51) covers all or part of the lower end (40) of the skirt (4) of the said insert (2).
    4. Cap according to any one of claims 1 to 3 in which the said means of providing weight comprises a supplementary object (6) made integral with the said cap (1), typically thanks to the said assembly and/or said void (30).
    5. Cap according to claim 4 in which the said supplementary object (6) is a ballast weight with a density greater than 4, typically made from iron, designed to increase the weight of the cap, and held within the said void (30).
    6. Cap according to claim 4 in which the said supplementary object (6) comprises a method of identification and/or detection, or an item carrying information or a measuring instrument, held within the said void, possibly increasing the weight of the cap.
    7. Cap according to any one of claims 1 to 6 in which the said metallic casing comprises a head (50) which includes an upper orifice (500), such that the head (3) of the said insert (2) can pass through the said orifice (500).
    8. Cap according to claim 7 in which the head (3) of the said insert (2) creates an extension through the said orifice and constitutes the said supplementary object (6').
    9. Cap according to claim 7 in which the said orifice (500) is blanked with a transparent material (62), in order to see into the said void (30) or observe its contents possibly containing the said supplementary object (6).
    10. Cap according to any one of claims 1 to 9 in which the said metallic casing (5) is made from aluminium or tin plate, steel or tin, typically from aluminium with a thickness of 80 to 350 µm.
    11. Cap according to any one of the claims 1 to 10 in which the said insert (2) is a moulded thermoplastic material, typically polyolefin, polyester or polyamide.
    12. Cap according to claim 11 in which the insert (2) is made from a polyolefin having a yield strength under load at 90°C that is sufficient to prevent the threads of the said insert from deforming when the said insert is raised to a temperature as high as 60°C.
    13. Cap according to claim 12 in which the said polyolefin is a polypropylene copolymer.
    14. Cap according to any one of claims 1 to 13 in which the said metallic casing (5) is decorated externally.
    15. Cap according to any one of the claims 1 to 14 in which the said leakproof sealing arrangement is composed of a detachable seal (31).
    16. Cap according to any one of claims 1 to 15 in which the said leakproof sealing arrangement comprises a sealing lip (32) fitted to the inner surface of the head of the said insert.
    17. Cap according to claim 16 in which a pouring item (9), possibly non-refillable is permanently fitted to the said cap (1), typically with a click-lock device, using a flexible attachment lip (33) formed on the inner surface of the head of the said insert.
    18. Cap according to any one of claims 1 to 17 in which the said void is casinged, typically using radial or circular casings.
    19. Cap according to any one of claims 1 to 18 comprising an outer sealing cover (8) which is used to guarantee the tamperproof integrity of the said cap (1) and provide an easy opening means (80, 81).
    20. Cap according to claim 19 in which the said outer sealing cover (8) is an outer sealing cap, typically of a heat shrink type, typically with a primary opening band (81) limited by two tear lines (80).
    21. Cap according to any one of claims 1 to 20 in which the lower end (41) of the skirt (4) of the said insert (2) includes voids (40) typically 6 in total (40) spaced at 60° from each other, in which a portion (5100) of the edge (510) of the said metallic skirt (51) is crimped, in order to ensure the said metallic skirt (51) and the said skirt (4) of the said insert (2) are locked together in rotation.
    22. Use of the caps according to any one of claims 1 to 21 as a games feature.
