Abstract

The support mounting (12) for fixing the stretcher onto the external face of the lateral wall (16) is a bayonet type with lug interlocking (46,48), carried on a pressure surface (40,42) of side wings (32,34), into complementary slots (50,52) on the lateral wall (16). Arrangement for mounting a stretcher support (12) on the external face (44) of an inclined lateral wall (16) of an embedded luminaire casing. Is of the type in which the support (12) has a mounting (18) which, when the support occupies its mounted position, is vertical and carries a stretcher arm of the type in which the support has at least parts (32,34) which press against the external face (44) of the lateral wall (16) of the luminaire casing.

Description

The present invention relates to the arrangement of a support of recessed light box.

The present invention relates more particularly to a arrangement for mounting a stretcher support on the face external of an inclined side wall, with respect to the vertical, a recessed light box, of the type in which the support includes at least one amount which, when the support occupies its position mounted on the side wall, is generally vertical and carrying a stretcher arm, of the type in which the support includes at least one angle adjustment element which is intended to come into abutment against the external face of the associated side wall of the box.

Generally, the box of a recessed luminaire is mounted in a ceiling by a stretcher type mounting.

According to this type of assembly, the box has arms stretcher extending substantially horizontally from the side walls of the box, outwards, and which allow the box to rest on crosspieces arranged in the ceiling.

Each stretcher arm is mounted adjustable in height r on a stretcher support which is fixed on the external face of a associated side wall of the box.

Such a type of assembly is described and represented, by example in document US-A-3,018,082.

In this document, each stretcher support includes two separate parts which are each provided with at least one fixing lug fitting into a complementary light the side wall of the box.

After mounting the stretcher arm, the two parts of the support are assembled by screwing.

We also know examples of implementation in which the stretcher support is fixed to the side wall of the box by screwing, as in document DE-A-26.54.374.

Known arrangements for fixing a support stretcher on the side wall of the box is not fully satisfactory.

They include a large number of parts which penalizes the manufacturing cost of the box and the stretcher support.

In addition, the operations of fixing the support to the wall associated side are too complex because the arrangements known require the use of screws, rivets or a step of welding.

This results in too long an assembly time, and the cost of installation of the box suffers.

The invention aims to remedy these drawbacks by proposing an arrangement for mounting a support for stretcher which is simpler and which allows a more installation fast, therefore less expensive.

To this end, the invention provides an arrangement of the type described above, characterized in that the mounting of the stretcher support on the outside of the east side wall of the bayonet type, with fitting of at least one carried lug by the bearing surface of the angle adjustment element, in a complementary notch, or light, along an axis of translation orthogonal to the side wall, then pivoting of the support around its axis of translation.

FIG. 1 shows a light box 10 recessed which has an arrangement for mounting a stretcher support 12 made in accordance with the teachings of the invention.

In the following description, we will not use limiting an orientation from top to bottom, along a vertical axis A-A, which corresponds to the orientation from top to bottom considering Figure 1.

The box 10 has a generally parallelepiped shape which is closed in its upper part by a main wall 14 substantially horizontal and which is open in its part lower.

The side walls 16 of the box 10 are slightly inclined, with respect to the vertical, so that the box 10 widens down.

In Figure 1, the stretcher support 12 is shown before mounting in the associated side wall 16 of the box 10.

Advantageously, the support 12 is made in one part, for example by cutting and folding a sheet metal plate.

We will now describe the stretcher support 12 when it occupies its position mounted on the associated side wall 16 of the box 10, as shown in Figures 2 and 3.

The support 12 here comprises a rectangular plate 18, forming an upright, which is substantially vertical and parallel at the upper 20 and lower 22 longitudinal edges of the wall lateral 16, i.e. the edges 20, 22 substantially horizontal side wall 16.

The amount 18 of the support 12 comprises, at each of its opposite axial ends along its general vertical axis A-A, a curved portion 24, 26 towards the outside of the box 10 and contained globally in a horizontal plane.

The curved portions 24, 26 form two tabs of support for a threaded rod 28 on which is mounted an arm of stretcher 30 according to a known assembly. The threaded rod 28 serves in particular to adjust the height of the stretcher arm 30, between the two support tabs 24, 26, relative to the support 12 of stretcher, and therefore relative to box 10.

The amount 18 of the support 12 also includes two angle adjustment elements constituted here respectively of two parallel and vertical support plates 32, 34 which extend orthogonally to the side wall 16, from each of the vertical edges 36, 38 of the upright 18.

The support plates 32, 34 are here symmetrical with respect to to a median plane P which is vertical and orthogonal to the wall lateral 16.

Each support plate 32, 34 is formed here by a curved portion, towards the side wall 16, of the sheet forming the amount 18.

Each support plate 32, 34 is generally in the form of a right triangle whose hypotenuse corresponds to the support edge 40, 42 of the plate 32, 34 against the external face 44 of the wall lateral 16 associated.

There is shown in Figure 3, the support direction by a axis B-B which is orthogonal to the side wall 16 of the box 10.

The support edge 40, 42 of each plate 32, 34 has substantially the same inclination, relative to the vertical, as the associated side wall 16.

In accordance with the teachings of the invention, the mounting the support 12 on the external face 44 of the side wall 16 is of the bayonet type.

To this end, each bearing edge 40, 42 has a tongue 46, 48 which, when the support 12 occupies its position mounted, extends inside the casing 10, through a slot or light 50, 52 associated with the side wall 16.

Each tongue 46, 48 here has a foot 54, 56 provided of two opposite wings 58-60, 62-64, which extend from each side of the foot 54, 56, transversely to the direction of support B-B.

When the support 12 occupies its mounted position, each tongue 46, 48 has a wing 58, 62 which extends overall upwards and a wing 60, 64 which extends generally towards the low.

The tongues 46, 48 are here substantially symmetrical with respect to the plane of symmetry P.

Preferably, the wings 58, 60, 62, 64 are slightly curved towards the opposite tab 46, 48, so that globally describe with the associated foot 54, 56, in section in a plane parallel to the side wall 16, an arc of a circle.

Advantageously, the two lights 50, 52 have overall an arc shape, slightly longer greater than the length of the arc of a circle described by the wings 58, 60, 62, 64 and associated feet 54, 56, so that, when mounting the support 12 on the side wall 16, the tongues 46, 48 can be introduced through the lights 50, 52 at during a translational movement along the support axis B-B.

In the embodiment shown here, the external face 44 of the side wall 16 also includes a locking lug 66 which extends towards the outside of the box 10 and which cooperates with a support plate 34, so as to lock the support 12 in its mounted position, as will be explained later.

The locking lug 66 delimits a ramp 68 which rises gradually, towards the associated support plate 34 in mounted position, and a bearing surface, or notch 70, overall parallel to the associated support plate 34 in the mounted position.

Preferably, the locking lug 66 is produced by punching or stamping, and folding of the sheet metal constituting the side wall 16.

We will now describe the mounting of the support 12 on the side wall 16, in particular with reference to FIGS. 4 and 5.

First place the support 12 in an inclined position with respect to the vertical, so that each support plate 32, 34 is inclined relative to the vertical, and always contained in a plane orthogonal to the side wall 16.

When the support 12 occupies this inclined position, the tabs 46, 48 must be oriented substantially opposite lights 50, 52 associated, so that, by movement of translation in the direction of support B-B, towards the face external 44 of the side wall 16, it is possible to introduce the tabs 46, 48 through the associated lights 50, 52.

This inclined position is shown in FIG. 4.

Note in this figure that the lights 50, 52 are offset, one with respect to the other, along the vertical axis A-A.

The support 12 is therefore moved towards the external face 44 of the side wall 16, in the direction of support B-B, until that each tab 46, 48 passes through the associated light 50, 52 and that the two plates 32, 34 are supported by their edges 40, 42 against the external face 44 of the side wall 16.

The support 12 is then pivoted around the axis of translation B-B, counterclockwise considering the figure 4 (clockwise when considering figure 2), until its final vertical position, or position mounted on the side wall 16.

When the support 12 occupies its mounted position, the foot 54, 56 of each tab 46, 48 is in abutment against a associated end of the corresponding light 50, 52.

Considering Figure 5, we see that the foot 54 is pressing down and the foot 56 is pressing up.

The wing 60, 62 located on the side where the foot 54, 56 is in support is then adjacent to the internal face of the side wall 16.

During pivoting, the support plate 34, on the right on Figure 4, cooperates with the lug 66 to lock the support 12 in its mounted position.

More specifically, the bearing edge 42 of the plate 34 slides on the ramp formed by lug 66, so as to pass the lug 66, then it "falls" on the other side of the lug 66, so that the plate 34 is supported by its external face against the notch 70 formed by lug 66, which prevents an angular return of the support 12 towards its initial inclined position and therefore disassembly accidental.

Considering Figure 2, in which the support 12 with its stretcher arm 30 mounted and supported on a cross member 72 of the ceiling, it can be seen that the arm 30 urges the support 12 in the direction of its blocking, that is to say here in the clockwise.

The box 10 comprises, for example, four supports for stretcher such as the one just described. The supports are arranged in the vicinity of each of the four corners of the box 10, on two side walls 16 parallel.

Advantageously, the pivoting movement which causes the second support (not shown) to block, which is mounted on the same side wall 16 as the support 12, is opposite direction to that for mounting the support 12, so that his stretcher arm, which extends in a direction opposite arm 30, also urges it in the direction of blocking it. The lights associated with the second support are therefore offset in the opposite direction relative to the lights 50, 52, and the corresponding lug is oriented in opposite direction with respect to lug 66.

According to an alternative embodiment (not shown) of the invention, the bayonet mount can be reversed mechanically, i.e. the lights 50, 52 can be made in a square take-up plate parallel to the side wall 16 and the tabs 46, 48 can be carried by the side wall 16.

Claims (9)

Arrangement for mounting a stretcher support (12) on the external face (44) of a side wall (16) inclined, with respect to the vertical (AA), of a box (10) of recessed luminaire, of the type in which the support (12) comprises at least one upright (18) which, when the support (12) occupies its position mounted on the side wall (16), is generally vertical and which carries a stretcher arm (30) , of the type in which the support (12) comprises at least one element (32, 34) for adjusting the angle which is intended to come into abutment against the external face (44) of the side wall (16) associated with the box ( 10)
characterized in that the mounting of the stretcher support (12) on the external face (44) of the side wall (16) is of the bayonet type, with fitting of at least one lug (46, 48) carried by the surface of support (40, 42) of the element (32, 34) for adjusting the angle, in a notch, or light (50, 52), complementary, along a translation axis (BB) orthogonal to the side wall (16), then pivoting of the support around its axis of translation (BB). Arrangement according to the preceding claim, characterized in that each lug is a tongue (46, 48) which, when the support (12) occupies its position mounted on the box (10), extends substantially in the direction of support ( BB), through a corresponding lumen (50, 52) produced in the side wall (16), each tongue (46, 48) comprising a foot (54, 56) provided with at least one wing (58, 60 , 62, 64) which extends on one side of the foot (54, 56), transversely to the direction of support (BB), and in that , in the mounted position, the foot (54, 56) of each tab (46, 48) is in abutment, relative to the direction of pivoting, against an edge of the light (50, 52), at least one wing (60, 62) then being adjacent to a portion facing of the internal face of the side wall (16). Arrangement according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the support (12) comprises two elements (32, 34) for adjusting the square which consist respectively of two parallel and symmetrical bearing plates, relative to a median plane (P ) parallel to the support plates (32, 34), in that , in the mounted position of the support (12), the two support plates (32, 34) are substantially orthogonal to the side wall (16) and they have an edge (40, 42) bearing against the side wall (16), and in that each bearing edge (40, 42) carries a tongue (46, 48). Arrangement according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the wings (58, 60, 62, 64) of the tongues (46, 48) of each support plate (32, 34) are bent towards the support plate (32, 34) opposite, so as to describe generally with the associated foot (54, 56), in section in a plane parallel to the side wall (16), an arc of a circle. Arrangement according to the preceding claim, characterized in that each tongue (46, 84) comprises two opposite wings (58, 60, 62, 64) which extend on each side of its foot (54, 56), and in that the tongues (46, 48) are symmetrical with respect to the median plane (P). Arrangement according to any one of claims 3 to 5, characterized in that the side wall (16) comprises two distinct slots (50, 52) which are associated respectively with each tongue (46, 48). Arrangement according to the preceding claim, characterized in that each lumen (50, 52) describes an arc of a circle substantially the same length as the arc of a circle described by the wings (58, 60, 62, 64) and the foot (54 , 56) of each tab (46, 48). Arrangement according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the side wall (16) comprises a locking lug (66) which cooperates with a member (34) for adjusting the angle in order to lock the support (12) in its mounted position.
