Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an arrangement for binding an object, especially a wire harness, with a tool, a band and a lock, the band in the form of a Loop is passed through the lock, which has a band passage and locking pawls arranged therein engaging in the band has, the tool a pair of pliers and a tape guide, in a lock holder on one end of the tool opens, and has a movable cover tongue, which is temporarily at least one of the latches engaging in the Band prevents.
An arrangement of this type is known from US Patent 4,908,911. There is in particular a tool for binding one described by a band held by a lock. The tool has a tool housing, at the front end of one Pliers is arranged. There is a tape guide in the tool housing, along the the tape from a magazine through the case is pushed towards and through the pliers, as well as a Lock channel provided through which the locks become one Lock bracket are performed. The lock bracket is on the pliers-side mouth of the tape guide arranged. Operational becomes a lock over the lock channel in the lock holder then the tape is removed from the tape guide the lock is pushed into the pliers in the lock holder and looped around the object to be bound. The free end of the tape is then put back into the lock Tool guided to tighten the tape. The strap loop is kept tense by the castle and can Cut the tape from the tool. In order to loosening of the strap loop from the lock can be prevented can, it has latches to hold the tape. In order to the tape but unimpeded by the Castle can run, a cover tongue is provided, which in the area between the belt and the latch can be inserted can to engage the latches of the lock in a Serration of the tape and thus an inhibition of the tape feed prevent. The cover tongue is longitudinally displaceable by means of guided by a carriage and has a wedge at its tip to lift one of the latches off the belt and to prevent it from engaging in its teeth. The well-known However, arrangement is disadvantageous in terms of reliability and versatility. The tool is sensitive to it Deviations in the position of the lock or the latch relative to the cover tongue. Because the castle is deviating from its ideal position so it can happen that the cover tongue is not included when it is inserted into the lock grips his chisel tip under the latch and lifts it with it, but runs head-on against the pawl while doing so either blocked or the pawl until it is destroyed damaged. An unwanted downtime of the tool is the consequence. The same problem occurs if with different locks for different strip thicknesses differently arranged latches can be used should. The tool then has to be laboriously attached to the each used lock with its arrangement of the latches be adjusted to avoid interference.
The invention has for its object the reliability and increase variability of such an arrangement.
Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen
ergeben sich aus den Unteransprüchen. The solution according to the invention consists in an arrangement with
the features of
According to the invention, in an arrangement for binding an object, especially a wire harness, with a tool, a band and a lock, the band in the form of a Loop is passed through the lock, which has a band passage and locking pawls arranged therein engaging in the band has, the tool a pair of pliers and a tape guide, in a lock holder on one end of the tool opens, and has a movable cover tongue, which is temporarily at least one of the latches engaging in the Band prevents provided that the cover tongue is pivotally mounted is.
The pivotable mounting according to the invention gives the cover tongue an additional degree of freedom that is an adjustment to different positions of the pawls at different Locks. The cover tongue can be inserted be so far deflected in the castle that with all locks to be expected together with their latches a safe one Underneath the latch can be done. So that is even with inevitably deviating positions of the Latches within the same type of lock ensure a secure grip the latches guaranteed. The swiveling storage the cover tongue allows the cover tongue when Introducing into the castle no direct contact with the Latch needs to have; rather, it can be done with a safety margin be brought to the latches.
The cover tongue is preferably pivotable about an axis, which is perpendicular to a tape guide direction. That has the advantage that the pivot axis of the cover tongue is approximately parallel to the axis or axes around which the latch is located or move the latches of the lock; usually lies the axis of the pawl, more precisely that of the instantaneous turning pole, around which the pawl also moves perpendicular to the tape feed direction. The tracks on which the cover tongue on the one hand and the latch on the other move, then lie in one plane. That enables one harmonious course when lifting the latch by the Covering tongue.
The pivot axis of the cover tongue is preferably arranged such that that there is a path of movement of the cover tongue under one cuts an acute angle with a movement path of the latch.
It is expedient for the system to rest against the latch Lock certain surface of the cover tongue formed fluted. This has the advantage that on the one hand easy insertion the tongue in the area under the latch is made possible and on the other hand also when lifting the Pawl resulting relative movements between pawl and cover tongue, especially towards each other, well received can be.
The pivoting of the cover tongue can be active or passive become. When active, a separate drive is expedient provided for the cover tongue. Passive is expedient the cover tongue arranged so that it is swung out protrudes the area provided at the lock for the tape passage. When the tape comes out of the tool body through the lock is pushed towards the pliers, it hits the cover tongue and pushes them out of the tape guide area, causing pivoting of the cover tongue is effected.
The cover tongue is preferably longitudinally displaceable between one advanced into the lock bracket and one withdrawn position arranged therefrom. By a Combination of the pivoting movement according to the invention with the Longitudinal movement can improve the actuation of the cover tongue and be simplified. In particular, pulling it out the cover tongue by simply moving it longitudinally. Here, longitudinal displacement is not just a linear movement understood, but it can be any z. B. circular movement with sufficient longitudinal component act. It is particularly advantageous to add the cover tongue to be arranged on an eccentric. This is the easiest way enables both a swivel and a longitudinal movement.
An actuating device for the covering tongue is expedient is provided, which is controlled so that the cover tongue advanced with closed pliers and with open Pliers is withdrawn. So that the cover tongue on effort-saving way associated with the operation of the pliers be, if necessary by means of the eccentric.

The actual binding process begins and the
dargestellt.When the
Since, thanks to the tongue 6, engagement of the locking
As best seen in Fig. 2, the intersect
In the illustrated embodiment, the cover tongue

dargestellten Bahn.In the embodiment shown in Fig. 5 is the
Cover tongue 6 'pivotally arranged below the
verhindern. Bei diesem Ausführungsbeispiel ist es nicht erforderlich,
daß die Abdeckzunge 6' längsverschieblich gelagert
ist.In the state shown in FIG. 5, this extends
