Abstract

Eine Walzstraße (1) für profiliertes Walzgut, bei der das Walzgut durch eine Anzahl von in einer Walzrichtung (x) aufeinanderfolgenden, jeweils eine Anzahl von Arbeitswalzen umfassenden Walzgerüsten (4, 6, 8) geführt wird, wobei jedes Walzgerüst (4, 6, 8) hinsichtlich seiner Betriebsparameter auf eine Anzahl von Sollwerten (SW) eingestellt wird, soll derart betrieben werden, daß mit vergleichsweise geringem Aufwand die Einhaltung besonders enger Toleranzgrenzen für ein herzustellendes Walzprofil ermöglicht ist. Dazu wird erfindungsgemäß das Profil (54) des auslaufenden Walzguts ermittelt und mit einem Sollprofil verglichen, wobei der oder jeder Sollwert (SW) des oder jedes Walzgerüsts (4, 6, 8) unter Bezugnahme auf einen gerüstspezifischen Wichtungsfaktor (W;) anhand der Abweichungen des ermittelten Profils vom Sollprofil mit einem Korrektursollwert (Ki) beaufschlagt wird. Dazu ist der Walzstraße (1) ein Steuerungssystem (70) zugeordnet, das eine geeignet ausgelegte Steuereinheit (72) sowie eine mit dieser verbundene Meßeinrichtung (82) zur Ermittlung eines Profilkennwerts des auslaufenden Walzguts und ein Speichermodul (84) umfaßt.
