Definitions
- the invention relates to the field of sliding sports and more particularly that of alpine skiing. It relates more specifically to an element accessory allowing easy mounting and adjustment of the binding on a ski. She is more specifically aimed at an interface plate which is intended to be secured to the upper side of a ski.
- a ski binding is composed of a stop and a heel.
- the toe and heel rest directly on the upper face of the ski on which they are screwed.
- a ski on which is mounted a first plate whose lateral sides are profiled to form two slides.
- This first plate receives a second plate which therefore has a longitudinal sliding capacity.
- the toe piece and the heel piece are mounted on this second plate so that it is possible to move both the stopper and the heel piece with respect to the ski, so as to adjust the mid point of the boot, that is to say so as to be able to position the middle of the shoe in different points on the length of the ski while maintaining a stop-heel distance constant.
- Adjustment of the toe and heel for adjustment to the size of the boot is made as on a traditional ski by action on the stop and / or the heel.
- the fixture mounting device includes two side rails who are united to skiing. These two side rails have a slide shape and accommodate two linkage rods which can adopt several positions different with respect to the side rails, by sliding between the latter.
- the stop and heel piece of the binding are mounted on these link rods. In temporarily disconnecting the connecting rods and the rails, it is possible move the toe and heel simultaneously to adjust the middle position shoe compared to skiing.
- Adjusting the position of the toe piece and the heel piece for adaptation the length of the shoe is done by adjusting the adjustment screws. In this way, the position of the toe piece and / or the heel piece is modified relative to the rods of connection, and therefore in relation to skiing.
- the mounting screws of the attachment either on a device intermediate, either directly on the ski occupy a space lateral to the toe and heel.
- the need for this lateral space imposes constraints on the geometry of the toe piece and the heel piece.
- the objective of the invention is to propose a system which allows the adjustment simple toe and heel positions to adapt to different shoe sizes with minimum mechanical parts.
- Another object of the invention is to allow the replacement of a part of the binding, that is to say the stop or the heel in a simple way, that is to say without requiring new drilling of the board or an element intermediate.
- the invention therefore relates to an interface plate which is intended to be secured to the upper face of a ski.
- This interface plate is suitable for receiving the toe piece and heel piece of the safety binding.
- this plate is characterized in that it has a longitudinal housing forming a slide capable of retaining protruding parts located under the stop and under the heel, allowing the sliding of the stop and the heel to the inside the slide for adjusting the binding to the length of the shoe.
- the plate according to the invention is fixed to the ski by screws or any other equivalent means which are located in a position unique, indifferent to the adjustment position of the toe piece and the heel piece.
- the cooperation between the plate and the toe and the heel is done inside a slide which has the same profile over its entire useful length, that is to say at less in the areas in which it retains the protruding parts located under the toe and heel.
- the toe piece and the heel piece can occupy a greater most of the width of the board, since no screws are needed to lock the position of the toe piece and the heel piece with respect to the slide. We thus obtains better guidance of the ski.
- the slide being integrated into the plate, the total height of the assembly heel plate or heel plate is reduced compared to the prior art.
- this interface plate can have its underside which comes directly in contact for the most part with the upper face of the ski.
- it can be a simple sheet which is fixed on the ski at the time of manufacture of the latter.
- the characteristic plate can form a raising platform separating the toe and the heel from several millimeters in relation to the upper face of the ski.
- the platform raising incorporates the slide allowing the adjustment of the stop and the heel.
- the interface plate forming platform of raising can have side portions directed downwards, intended to cooperate with skiing.
- the slide may comprise at at least one region located in the zone receiving the toe piece or the heel piece, said region forming a rack with which adjusting means cooperate longitudinal of the toe or heel.
- the plate comprises at least one cavity receiving a plate bearing the rack.
- the bottom of the slide has a housing inside which is set up a notched area or rack cooperating with a worm screw located in the stop or the heel piece.
- the racks can also be made directly in the bottom of the slide, by machining or equivalent.
- the interface plate according to the invention can adopt different geometries.
- the plate extends continuously between the zones hosting the toe piece and the heel piece, which makes it possible to obtain by construction of a slide which has an identical geometric profile between the area of the toe piece and the heel area. It can for example come from extrusion, or be made from a metal profile, or even molded.
- the slide can be interrupted at the level center of the plate, so that it has two slides of the same geometric profiles, arranged in alignment with each other.
- central area of the plate, extending on either side of the middle of the shoe does not does not have the means to retain the protruding parts located under the toe piece and the heel piece.
- the characteristic plate can be formed of two elementary plates respectively receiving the stop and the heel piece, these elementary plates being connected by a connecting portion.
- the central part of the interface plate, which receives neither the stop nor the heel consists of an additional element which does not include slide but which ensures the connection between the front elementary plate and the plate rear elementary, which each have slides of geometric profiles identical.
- the slide has a profile comprising a flat bottom and two lateral zones forming a return towards the median longitudinal plane of the interface plate.
- the geometric profile of the slide makes it possible to maintain the protruding parts situated under the stop and the heel piece, which have a general inverted T profile. The ends of the horizontal branch of the T are then maintained by the returns of the lateral zones of the slide.
- the stop / heel assembly and interface plate also includes means for ensuring movement simultaneously in the opposite direction of the toe and the heel when adjusting the shoe length fastening.
- the invention relates to an interface plate intended to be mounted on an alpine ski in order to receive the stop and the heel of the bindings of security.
- this plate (1) illustrates such a plate (1) in which an area is identified front (2) intended to receive the stop of the fixing, and a rear zone (3) intended to receive the heel of the binding. More specifically, and in the form illustrated, this plate (1) has a flat bottom (5) which extends from the front end (4) from the plate to the rear end (6). At the rear level, this flat bottom (5) has a passage (7) allowing the passage of a fastening screw to the board.
- the flat bottom (5) On the opposite side, near the front end (4), the flat bottom (5) has two through openings (8) allowing the front part of the plate to the board. These through openings (8) have an elongated shape to allow a slight sliding of the front end (4) of the plate by compared to the board.
- the invention is in no way limited to a any form of means for securing the plate relative to the board. It covers in particular all the variants authorizing or not a slight sliding of a front, central or rear part of the plate.
- each of these lateral zones (10-13) has a portion (14-17) which is perpendicular to the bottom (5) of the plate, and a portion (18-21), parallel to the bottom (5) of the plate, and directed towards the median longitudinal plane (P).
- These portions (18-21) therefore constitute returns which close the slides themselves. These slides have the role of maintaining the toe and the heel laterally and vertically.
- these slides are interrupted in the central area of the platform, near the mid-shoe mark (22).
- the lateral portions (15, 17, 14, 16) are separated by a notch (23, 24) in which the plate has only its bottom (5). This notch (23, 24) allows a slight longitudinal bending of the plate.
- the lateral portions (10, 11) located in the rear part (3) of the plate have a shape identical to the lateral portions (12, 13) present in the front part (2) of the plate.
- the two slides thus defined have an identical geometric profile.
- the bottom (5) of the plate has two housings (26, 27) arranged substantially along the median longitudinal plane (P) from the plate.
- These housings (26, 27) are generally rectangular in shape, and are located respectively in the front (2) and rear areas of the plate. These housings (26, 27) form a zone of reduced thickness of the bottom (5) of the plate.
- These housings (26, 27) receive plates supporting racks (28) intended to cooperate with the adjustment members in position longitudinal of the stop and the heel piece.
- these housings may open out from so that the racks they accommodate rest directly on the face superior of skiing.
- these racks (28, 29) are meshed by worms able to pivot inside the toe and the heel when adjusting these latest.
- the worms can be replaced by strips of locking.
- the stop has in its lower part an area protuberant (30) which has a general inverted T shape. More precisely, this protuberance (30) has two lateral protuberances (31, 32) which come be housed under the portions (20, 21) of the lateral zones (12, 13) of the slide of the front part (2) of the plate.
- the stop also has zones (33, 34) extending in width above portions (20, 21) of slide. The penetration of the portions (20, 21) to the inside of the shape of the stopper provides firm and effective lateral support of the stop in the slide.
- a shape identical to the protuberance (30) is present under the heel not represented.
- the interface plate (40) is made up of two elementary plates (41, 42) separated by a connecting portion (43).
- This connecting portion (43) can be rigid or flexible, it can optionally enclose a connecting member which induces a displacement of the heel piece when the stopper is adjusted in position or vice versa.
- the stop may be a double worm screw with pitch reversed.
- the lower zone of the protuberance (30) of the stop includes a rack meshing one of the steps of the double worm.
- the interface plate according to the invention has multiple advantages, and in particular a very easy installation place on the ski, and easy handling for adjusting the binding relative to the length of the shoe.
