Definitions
- the present invention relates to a snowshoe and more particularly the shoe retaining device thereon. She also relates to an associated shoe intended to be assembled with the snowshoe of the invention.
- Snowshoes have been known for a long time many years because used for several centuries by Scandinavian people to move on the snow. Until our days, snowshoes were used for utility or military purposes, to allow the populations and the alpine troops to move on the snow for their daily necessities. Currently, snowshoes are used more by walkers or sportsmen who go on hikes and walks, even competitions.
- the snowshoe of the invention is of the type constituted by a sieve, and comprising means restraint intended to retain the user's shoe and is such that the retaining means consist of protruding or recessed profiles intended to cooperate with additional attachment means of the shoe.
- the retaining means are consisting of at least two protruding profiles which are introduced in hollow profiles complementary attachment means of the shoe to assemble the shoe to the racket.
- the retaining means allow the shoe to pivot with respect to the racket around a transverse axis.
- the projecting profiles are consisting of two axis portions arranged coaxially along the axis and which have at their ends a cooperation stud capable of pivot inside the hollow profiles when the shoe is assembled snowshoeing.
- the snowshoe of the invention is characterized in that at least one of the profiles projection is disposed movable between a retaining position (A) where it cooperates with one of the corresponding hollow profiles of the shoe and a unlocking position in which it no longer cooperates with said profile hollow.
- the retaining means include biasing means elastics which stress the movable projecting profile (s) towards its (their) restraint position.
- the two axis portions are mounted on the racket sieve via lateral axle supports and unlocking devices.
- the lateral supports are fixedly mounted on the screen of the racket and the axle portions are fixed to the unlocking members which are slidably mounted on the lateral axle supports, said sliding against the elastic biasing means when it is carried out from the retaining position to the unlocking position.
- the retaining means are mounted on the racket by a additional rail and slide device.
- the sieve comprises in its central part, plumb with the user's shoe, walls or support sleepers which extend under the rear part of the shoe, said sieve with an opening located in front of the transverse axis hinge.
- the invention also relates to a shoe associated intended to be assembled with the snowshoe of the invention which, according to its main characteristic, comprises hooking means complementary.
- this one is characterized by what the additional hanging means are formed by two axle housings arranged coaxially in the sole of the shoe along a transverse axis.
- the transverse axis is located substantially at the level where the front end of the arch is located of the user.
- the attachment means are formed by two hollow profiles carried by a insert located in the sole.
- FIGS 1 to 9 illustrate the preferred embodiment of the snowshoe and associated shoe.

- Figure 5a shows in cross section the means of retaining the snowshoe before putting the boot on.
- Figure 5b shows in cross section the means of retaining the snowshoe after assembling the boot.
- Figure 6 illustrates in a view similar to Figure 5 the means retaining the snowshoe in the unlocked position.
- Figure 7 shows in perspective the axis support of the means retaining the snowshoe.
- FIG. 8a illustrates in perspective the cover for unlocking the means for retaining the snowshoe.
- Figure 8b shows a side view of the unlocking cover.
- Figure 9 schematically illustrates in top view the positioning of the boot and its insert on the snowshoe.
- FIG. 10 represents an alternative embodiment of the end of the cooperation nipple.
- the snowshoe of the invention bearing the general reference (1) is of the type comprising a screen (2) delimited by a main frame (3), said sieve can be in the form of an openwork plate formed of a set of rigid internal walls (5) intended to ensure its lift or in the form of a canvas as in the case of snowshoes tubular type of North American origin. It includes means of retainer (MR) intended to allow the shoe (4) to be secured to the snowshoe, as shown in Figures 1 to 4, said means of retainer that can be mounted on the main frame (3) or on walls internal (5) rigid which form the screen (2), or any other element.
- MR retainer
- the retaining means (MR) consist of at least two protruding profiles (6a, 6b) which are introduced into hollow profiles (7a, 7b) of complementary shape, arranged in the shoe (4) for retaining it to the racket (1). At least one of these protruding profiles (6a, 6b) is arranged movable between a retaining position (A) where it cooperates with one of the hollow profiles (7a, 7b) corresponding to the shoe and a so-called unlocking position (B) in which it is removed from said recessed profile, thereby allowing the user to separate his shoe (4) of the racket (1).
- the two profiles in projection (6a, 6b) are advantageously mounted movable between the two the aforementioned retaining and unlocking positions (A, B), such as show Figures 5 and 6.
- a projecting profile could be movable relative to the shoe, while the other would be fixed, the movable profile allowing him only locking and unlocking the shoe.
- the hollow profiles (7a, 7b) of the shoe are arranged in the sole, for example, and form the additional attachment means which are intended to cooperate with the retaining means (MR) of the racket.
- the means for retaining (MR) the shoe (4) on the snowshoe (1) allow the shoe to pivot relative to the racket around a transverse axis (YY ') orthogonal to the plane longitudinal (P) of general symmetry of the racket, as shown Figures 2 and 3, this pivoting can be limited in its amplitude by a stop system in a manner known per se.
- the shoe can be pivoted either thanks to the relative rotation of the projecting profiles (6a, 6b) inside the hollow profiles (7a, 7b) of the shoe (4) as in the mode of illustrated preferred embodiment where these consist of portions of axis likely to pivot inside complementary axis housings of the shoe, either by pivoting the projecting profiles (6a, 6b) of the retaining means (MR) relative to the racket (1) which carries them.
- the cooperation of the protruding profiles and hollow profiles is blocked in rotation around the transverse axis (YY ') thanks to the specific shape complementary to their longitudinal profile, by example, and the articulation takes place between the support or base of the profiles protruding which is arranged fixed on the snowshoe (1) and the protruding profile itself, while the shoe is integral in rotation with said profile.
- the protruding profiles can then be of rectangular shape or have a profile triangular, for example, the pivot mechanism being located inside the supports or base.
- the protruding profiles are advantageously formed by portions of axis (6a, 6b) which cooperate with axis housings (7a, 7b) located in the sole (4a) of the shoe (4).
- the axis portions (6a, 6b) are positioned coaxially along a transverse axis (YY ') orthogonal to the longitudinal plane (P) of the snowshoe (1). They are mounted on the sieve of the snowshoe (1) by means of supports lateral axes (8a, 8b) and unlocking members (9a, 9b) which manage their respective movements with respect to the shoe and the racket for allow the installation of retaining means (MR) of the racket to snow in those of the shoe.
- MR retaining means
- the two axis portions (6a, 6b) are movable in translation along their axis of revolution (YY ') to be able to enter the axis housings (7a, 7b) of an insert (51) located in the front part of the shoe sole (4).
- these portions axis (6a, 6b) are each fixed mounted on an unlocking member respective (9a, 9b) capable of sliding transversely on a support axis (8a, 8b) fixed to the screen (2) of the racket.
- MSE biasing means elastic
- These solicitation means (MSE) can be of all types such as, for example example, be formed by a compression spring (10) disposed between a abutment surface (11) integral with the axle portion (6a, 6b) and another bearing surface (12) located on the axle support (8a, 8b).
- the supports (8a, 8b) are presented in the form of an upper part called a cannon, consisting of a portion of cylindrical tube (13) bearing at one end of its bore the transverse bearing surface (12), a bearing surface which has an orifice through which the axis portion (6a) is capable of slide.
- the axis portion (6a, 6b) carries an annular flange (11) which forms a stop for the spring (10) and which is intended to slide in the bore (13a) of the barrel (13) on the length thereof, said collar having a diameter identical to that of the bore.
- This upper part or barrel (13) is extended towards the bottom by a lower fixing rail (14) intended to cooperate with a rail of complementary shape (15) advantageously located on the screen (2). Note that this cooperation takes place by sliding until a internal abutment surface not shown of the support (8a, 8b) comes in abutment on an abutment surface of the complementary rail (15) of the screen.
- the axis portion (6a, 6b) has, on the internal side, a nipple of cooperation (17) whose diameter is identical to the clearance close to that of the axis housings (7a, 7b), while, on the other side of the flange (11), there has a rod (19) intended to pass into the spring (10) located at inside the bore (13a) of the barrel (13) to then pass through the surface support (12) of the barrel before being fixed by means of a threading system internal and screw (18) to the unlocking member (9a, 9b).
- the axle support (8a, 8b) on its upper part two guide grooves (21a, 21b) which allow the unlocking member (9a, 9b) sliding on its support, causing the movement of the axis portion in its sliding (6a, 6b) and more particularly of its nipple (17) which, in the position of unlocking (B), is retracted inside the bore (13a) of the barrel (13).
- the unlocking member (9a, 9b) is presented in the form of a sliding cover which has an internal shape complementary to the external shape of the axle support (8a, 8b) to be able marry him when they are in the retaining position (A), as the show Figures 7 and 8a.
- the unlocking member (9a, 9b) has thus on its internal face two internal guide projections (20a, 20b) intended to cooperate with the grooves (21a, 21b) of the barrel (13) to ensure sliding.
- the unlocking (9a, 9b) has a bearing surface on its external face main (23) located, for example, in a hollow profile (22) and which is intended to be used to cause the unlocking of the means of retained (MR) thanks to the sliding of the member (9a, 9b) which follows.
- This main bearing surface (23) is advantageously a surface orthogonal to the transverse axis (YY ') or slightly inclined relative to the plane orthogonal to the axis in order to be able to be requested in translation according to the transverse axis (YY ') by a thrust exerted by an accessory such as ski pole (27), see Figure 8a.
- the unlocking member presents also an external crown (41) intended to facilitate its actuation by the user manually, as illustrated in Figure 8a.
- fixing the means of retained on the sieve (2) of the snowshoe is made only at using a rail and slide device (14,15, 20a, 20b, 21a, 21b), the support (8a, 8b) which is fixed by sliding on the rail (15) of the screen (2) before the unlocking member (9a, 9b) is fixed on the support (8a, 8b) also by sliding around the guide grooves (21a, 21b), the fixing of the axle portion (6a, 6b) on the unlocking (9a, 9b) by the screw (18) allowing the device to be locked by preventing the constituent parts (6a, 6b, 8a, 8b, 9a, 9b) from the means of restraint (MR) to separate.
- a rail and slide device 14,15, 20a, 20b, 21a, 21b
- the support (8a, 8b) which is fixed by sliding on the rail (15) of the screen (2) before the unlocking member (9a, 9b) is fixed on the support (8a, 8b) also by sliding around the guide grooves (21a,
- the rod (19) of the axle portion (6a, 6b) is fixedly mounted on the unlocking member (9a, 9b), a surface support not shown located at the end of the rod coming in a housing of complementary shape of the member to block the portion axis in rotation.
- the sieve has in its central part, plumb with the shoe of the user, a set of supporting walls or crosspieces (25) which allows the shoe to rest on the sieve of the snowshoe, as shown in figure 2. These walls and crosspieces extend under the rear part of the shoe, the screen (2) having an opening (26) located in front of the transverse axis (YY ') to allow the pivoting of the shoe (4) forwards.
- the limitation of pivoting between the sieve (2) and the shoe (4) can be managed by abutment surfaces arranged on the screen below the opening before (26). However, it can also be managed directly using the organs which ensure said pivoting, that is to say the axis portions and the complementary housings located in the sole without going out of the protective field of the invention.
- the retaining means (MR) of the racket at snow are arranged on either side of the shoe coaxially at level of the front part thereof so that the articulation takes place around an axis (YY ') located substantially at the front end of the arch of the user as illustrated in FIG. 9.
- the invention also relates to a shoe partner, intended to cooperate with the retaining means (MR) of the snowshoe (1) of the invention.
- This shoe features advantageously two recessed housings intended to cooperate with the protruding profiles (6a, 6b) of the retaining means (MR).
- These accommodations are advantageously axis housings (7a, 7b) and are carried by an insert (51) disposed in the sole (4a) of the shoe (4).
- This insert can show a marked form of hyperbola, as shown Figure 9, but it can also be straight.
- the sole (4a) or the ends of the insert (51) which it comprises present at the level of the mouth of the axis housings (7a, 7b) a ramp introduction (30) intended to push back the cooperation stud (17) of the axis portion (6a, 6b), and to guide it into its housing (7a, 7b).
- a ramp introduction (30) intended to push back the cooperation stud (17) of the axis portion (6a, 6b), and to guide it into its housing (7a, 7b).
- the end of the cooperation pins (17) can also bevelled to promote its cooperation with the ramp (30) when setting in place of the shoe (4).
- the unlocking member involves in its lateral displacement of the corresponding projection, which releases the shoe.
- FIG. 10 illustrates an alternative embodiment of the nipple of cooperation, whereby the cone-shaped end comprises by example two slots, in order to favor the cleaning of the snow which could be housed in the cooperation trough, corresponding to the shoe.
- the axis portions (9a, 9b) could be blocked rotating in their respective housing.
- the end of the protrusion could also have the shape of a diamond point.
