Claims (11)

  1. A drain and overflow fitting with an inflow for bath tubs, with a water inflow part (1) which is pivotable from a position above a filling region (11) of a bath tub (8) into a withdrawn position, and a closing mechanism (2, 3, 4, 5) for opening and closing a closure element on the drain of the bath tub (8), characterised in that the closing mechanism comprises a pivotable lever (2) disposed on the water inflow part (1) for operating the closure element, and that a fixable plate (7) is provided on the bath tub (8) on which the water inflow part (1) and the lever (2) of the closing mechanism are fitted, cut-outs (13) being provided on the plate (7) which form a part of an overflow.
  2. The drain and overflow fitting according to Claim 1, characterised in that the pivot axis (6) of the water inflow part (1) extends parallel to the pivot axis (6) of the lever (2) of the closing mechanism.
  3. The drain and overflow fitting according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the water inflow part (1) and the lever (2) of the closing mechanism have a common pivot axis.
  4. The drain and overflow fitting according to any of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the lever (2) of the closing mechanism is mounted along the pivot axis (6), and the mounting has greater strength than the material of the lever (2).
  5. The drain and overflow fitting according to any of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that viewed from the side, the water inflow part (1) has an approximately oval cross-section with a flattened upper side (15) in the upper region, and the lever (2) of the closing mechanism is disposed with its lower side on the flattened upper side (15) of the water inflow part (1).
  6. The drain and overflow fitting according to any of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that a channel (31) is provided in the water inflow part (1) which is only opened when the water inflow part (1) is pivoted inwards.
  7. The drain and overflow fitting according to any of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the water inflow part (1) and the lever (2) of the closing mechanism are pivotable independently of one another.
  8. The drain and overflow fitting according to any of Claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the lever (2) of the closing mechanism is connected to a cylindrical section (3) on which a pinion (4) for moving a Bowden cable (5) is provided, the Bowden cable (5) being connected to a mechanism for operating a closure element on the drain of the bath tub (8) .
  9. A bath tub (8) with a filling region (11) and a substantially horizontal edge region (21), characterised in that a drain and overflow fitting according to any of the preceding Claims 1 to 8 is fitted on the edge region (21).
  10. The bath tub according to Claim 9, characterised in that in the edge region (21) a recess (9) is provided in which the drain and overflow fitting is mounted.
  11. The bath tub according to Claim 9 or 10, characterised in that the cut-outs (13) of the plate (7) are disposed on a side facing away from the filling region (11) of the bath tub (8).
