Avantageusement, l'articulation du volet 39 est réalisée au moyen d'une charnière 40 en plastique intégrée. Sur ce volet 39 sont prévus des moyens d'encliquetage 41 en forme de crochet aptes à venir s'engager sur des parties correspondantes 42 (figure 3) du boîtier. Les deux conducteurs 34,35 comprennent chacun une partie 34a,35a s'étendant le long de la plaque et deux plages de connexion 34b,35b,34c,35c s'étendant perpendiculairement au plan de ladite plaque 36.
Lors de l'opération de connexion, les chemins séparés 37,38 et la plaque 36 sont amenés en regard respectivement des faces latérales 10 et 12 des appareils comportant les bornes de sortie 15,16, pour le premier appareil D, et les bornes d'entrée 19,20, pour le second appareil T. Les plages des conducteurs 34b,35b et 34c,35c sont alors introduites dans les bornes correspondantes 16,15 et 20,19 des appareils, l'un des conducteurs 34 reliant la borne de sortie de phase 16 du premier appareil D avec la borne d'entrée de phase 20 du second appareil T, l'autre des conducteurs 35 reliant la borne de sortie de neutre 15 du premier appareil D avec la borne d'entrée de neutre 19 du second appareil. On voit en particulier sur la figure 2, que la plaque 36 recouvre la totalité de la face latérale inférieure 12 du second appareil T de sorte que l'accès aux conducteurs et aux ouvertures de borne 23,24 par le dessous de l'appareil, est rendu impossible. Lors de la mise en place du dispositif, le volet 39 est rabattu sur l'une 4a des parties de face avant précitées, puis fixé au boîtier de l'appareil au moyen des moyens d'encliquetage précités 41,42. Dans cette position, ce volet 39 d'une part vient compléter l'isolation au niveau des ouvertures 23,24 des bornes d'entrée 19,20, c'est à dire empêcher l'accès par l'avant de l'appareil, à la partie de raccordement située au niveau de ces ouvertures, et d'autre part, recouvre les organes d'actionnement 27,28, en l'occurrence les vis de borne, de sorte que la manipulation de celles-ci est impossible. Par contre, on voit en particulier sur la figure 2, que l'accès aux ouvertures 25,26 des bornes de sortie 21,22 ainsi qu'aux organes d'actionnement 29,30 de ces bornes est laissé libre.

This device comprises in its upper part two control terminals 17, 18, by which the aforementioned coil terminals can be connected to the power lines of the circuit breaker, and four so-called power terminals, namely two input terminals 19, 20 (respectively neutral and phase) and two output terminals 21,22 (neutral and phase respectively) at its lower part (more particularly visible in Figure 3)
In FIG. 3, and according to the invention, it can be seen that the input terminals 19, 20 and the output terminals 21, 22 are situated in two different depth levels of the housing of the apparatus, the depth being defined as the distance separating the face 4c located most forward of the apparatus T from the rear face 2 of the apparatus T. It is also seen in FIG. 3 that the terminals are also offset according to the height of the apparatus , this being defined by the distance separating the two lateral faces 11, 12 of the apparatus T. It can thus be seen that one of the side faces 11, 12 of this apparatus T actually comprises a plurality of lateral face portions 12a. , 12b parallel to each other but offset according to the height and depth of the apparatus. On one 12a of these faces 12a, 12b open the access openings 23,24 of the input terminals 19,20, and on the other 12b of these faces open the access openings 25,26 of the terminals of output 21.22. Similarly, the front face of the housing has a plurality of parallel front face portions 4a, 4b, 4c therebetween, also offset according to the depth and height of the housing. On one of these face portions 4a open the actuating members 27,28 of the input terminals 19,20 and on the other 4b, the actuating members 29,30 of the output terminals 21,22. Note also that the input terminals 19,20 are also offset from the output terminals 21,22 parallel to the width of the housing, said width representing the distance between the two 7,8 main faces of the housing, this allowing the user to carry out its wiring in the direction of its electrical diagram without being constrained by the device to connect the terminals of the bottom (face 4a) before that of the top (face 4b) .
Returning to FIGS. 1, 2 and 4, it can be seen that the output terminals 15, 16 of the first device D are electrically connected to the input terminals 19, 20 of the second device T by means of a connection device C conforming to FIG. the invention. This device C comprises an insulating cover 31 made of a plastic material, said cover 31 having two conduction paths 32,33 respectively housing two rigid electrical conductors 34,35. This cover 31 is constituted by a plate 36 whose dimensions substantially correspond to the dimensions of the lateral face 12 of the second apparatus T, this plate 36 comprising two parts of conduction paths 32, 33 adapted to receive the portion of the conductors extending in second plate of the second apparatus T. From this plate 36 extend two separate conduction paths 37,38 housing the portion of the conductors located opposite the first apparatus D. A flap 39 is hingedly mounted on the plate 36 between a position in which it extends parallel to this plate 36 and a position in which it extends perpendicularly to this plate. Advantageously, the articulation of the flap 39 is carried out by means of a hinge 40 made of integrated plastic. On this flap 39 are provided latching means 41 in the form of hook adapted to engage on corresponding parts 42 (Figure 3) of the housing. The two conductors 34, 35 each comprise a portion 34a, 35a extending along the plate and two connection pads 34b, 35b, 34c, 35c extending perpendicular to the plane of said plate 36.
During the connection operation, the separate paths 37, 38 and the plate 36 are brought respectively facing the lateral faces 10 and 12 of the devices comprising the output terminals 15, 16, for the first device D, and the terminals d 19.20, for the second device T. The ranges of the conductors 34b, 35b and 34c, 35c are then introduced into the corresponding terminals 16, 15 and 20, 19 of the devices, one of the conductors 34 connecting the terminal of phase output 16 of the first apparatus D with the phase input terminal 20 of the second apparatus T, the other of the conductors 35 connecting the neutral output terminal 15 of the first apparatus D with the neutral input terminal 19 of the second apparatus. It can be seen in particular in FIG. 2 that the plate 36 covers the whole of the lower lateral face 12 of the second apparatus T so that access to the conductors and to the terminal openings 23, 24 from the bottom of the apparatus, is made impossible. When setting up the device, the flap 39 is folded down on one of the abovementioned front surface portions 4a, and then fixed to the housing of the apparatus by means of the aforementioned latching means 41,42. In this position, this flap 39 on the one hand completes the insulation at the openings 23,24 of the input terminals 19,20, that is to say prevent access from the front of the device, at the connection portion located at these openings, and secondly, covers the actuating members 27,28, in this case the terminal screws, so that the manipulation thereof is impossible. By cons, we see in particular in Figure 2, that access to the openings 25,26 of the output terminals 21,22 and the actuators 29,30 of these terminals is left free.

  1. Arrangement of an electrical connection device (C) and of two electrical apparatuses (D,T) such as an electrical protection apparatus associated with a controlled switch, said device (C) being designed to electrically connect the output terminal(s) (21,22) of one of the apparatuses, called the first apparatus (D), to the input terminal(s) (19,20) of the other of said apparatuses, called the second apparatus (T), and comprising conductors housed in an insulating cover (31), the assembly extending along one of the faces (12) of the two apparatuses, said above-mentioned input and output terminals comprising access openings (23,24,25,26) on said faces,
    characterized in that the insulating cover (31) comprises a shutter (39) designed to prevent access to the input terminal(s) (19, 20) of the second apparatus (T) when the connection device (C) is fitted while leaving access to the output terminal(s) (21, 22) of said second apparatus (T) free.
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that, in the connection position, the shutter (39) is designed to prevent access to the actuating means (27, 28) of the input terminal(s) (19, 20) of the second apparatus (T) and/or to the parts of conductors situated at the level of the opening (23, 24) of said input terminal(s) (19, 20).
  3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the shutter (39) is mounted articulated with respect to the cover (31).
  4. Device according to any one of the claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the cover (31) being made of plastic material, the shutter (39) is mounted articulated on the cover (31) by means of an integrated hinge (40) made of plastic.
  5. Device according to any one of the claims 1 to 4, characterized in that it comprises clipping means (41) provided in part on the shutter (39) and in part on the case of the second apparatus (T), said means being designed to perform fixing of the shutter (39) on the case of the apparatus.
  6. Device according to any one of the foregoing claims, characterized in that it comprises on the one hand a plate (36) comprising conduction paths (32, 33), said plate (36) being able to be moved to face the above-mentioned face (12) of the second apparatus (T) and to receive the conductors (34, 35) in so far as their part extending facing said face (12) is concerned, the above-mentioned shutter (39) being mounted on said plate (36).
  7. Device according to claim 6, characterized in that it comprises separate conduction paths (37, 38) able to be moved to face the above-mentioned face (10) of the first apparatus (D) and to receive the conductors (34, 35) in so far as their part extending facing the first apparatus (D) is concerned.
  8. Electrical apparatus housed in a case comprising a rear face for fixing to a mounting support such as a rail, a front face, two main faces by means of which the apparatus can be adjoined to another apparatus of the same type, and two opposite side faces, said electrical apparatus constituting one of the two apparatuses of the arrangement according to any one of the claims 1 to 7 and being able to be connected to the other apparatus of said arrangement located up-line on said mounting support by means of the connection device of said arrangement,
    characterized in that it comprises at least one input terminal (19, 20) and at least one output terminal (21, 22), said terminals being situated on the same side of said support (R), and that the input terminal(s) (19, 20) on the one hand and the output terminal(s) (21, 22) on the other hand are respectively arranged at two different depth levels of the case of the apparatus and are respectively staggered in the heightwise direction of the apparatus.
  9. Electrical apparatus housed in a case comprising a rear face for fixing to a mounting support such as a rail, a front face, two main faces by means of which the apparatus can be adjoined to another apparatus of the same type, and two opposite side faces, said electrical apparatus constituting one of the two apparatuses of the arrangement according to any one of the claims 1 to 7 and being able to be connected to the other apparatus of said arrangement located up-line on said mounting support by means of the connection device of said arrangement, characterized in that it comprises at least one input terminal (19, 20) and at least one output terminal (21, 22), said terminals both being situated on the same side of said support (R), and at least one control terminal (17, 18) situated on the other side of said support (R).
  10. Electrical apparatus according to claim 9, characterized in that the input terminal(s) (19, 20) on the one hand and the output terminal(s) (21, 22) on the other hand are respectively arranged at two different depth levels of the case of the apparatus and are respectively staggered in the heightwise direction of the apparatus.
  11. Apparatus according to claim 8 or 10, characterized in that the input terminal(s) (19, 20) is(are) situated at the rear of the apparatus and at the level of one (12) of the side faces of the apparatus and the output terminals (21, 22) are situated at the front of the apparatus (T) and set back with respect to said side face (12) of the apparatus (T).
  12. Apparatus according to any one of the claims 8 to 11, characterized in that the input terminals and output terminals each comprise an access opening (23, 24) and (25, 26) for the conductors, said openings being situated respectively for the input terminals (19, 20) and the output terminals (21, 22) on two parts of lateral surfaces (12a, 12b) staggered in the heightwise and depthwise direction of the case.
  13. Electrical apparatus according to any one of the claims 8 to 12, characterized in that the input terminal(s) and output terminal(s) comprise actuating means respectively situated for the input terminals and the output terminals on two parts of front face (4a, 4b) staggered in the depthwise and heightwise direction of the case.
  14. Apparatus according to any one of the claims 8 to 13, characterized in that the first apparatus (D) is a circuit breaker and/or in that the second apparatus (T) is a remote-controlled switch or a contactor.
  15. Apparatus according to any one of the claims 8 to 14, characterized in that the input terminals (19, 20) are staggered with respect to the output terminals (21, 22) in a direction parallel to the width of the case.
  16. Apparatus according to any one of the claims 8 to 15, characterized in that the second apparatus is a single-pole remote-controlled switch, the above-mentioned cover only comprising a single electrical path.
