Der parallel zur Hauptebene verlaufende Teilbereich dient als Schalterblende mit Durchbrechungen für Bedienelemente und Anzeigen. Die komplette Platte einschließlich des abgebogenen Bereiches sind vollständig dicht in den Kochfeldrahmen eingesetzt. So sind keine Öffnungen für Zu- oder Abluft vorhanden. Weiterhin befinden sich bei dieser Ausführung die Bedienelemente und Anzeigen in unmittelbarer Nähe der Kochstellen. Die Größe der Kochfelder ist damit bei vorgegebenen Gesamtabmaßen für das Glaskeramikkochfeld beschränkt. Im Zusammenhang mit Induktionskochgeräten mit einer Glaskeramikkochfläche ist es durch die DE 295 00 051 U1 bekannt, die die Kochfläche bildende Glaskeramikplatte unter Bildung eines Luftauslasses zwischen ihr und dem Kochfeldrahmen im hinteren Teil abzubiegen. Der abgebogene Bereich ist dabei mit dem Kochfeldrahmen durch Silikonbelege abfedernd verbunden. Auch bei dieser Lösung sind die Bedienelemente, so sie denn in die Glaskeramikplatte integriert sind, in unmittelbarer Nähe der Kochstellen angeordnet.From US-A 6 067 980 a generic cooktop with two adjacent glass ceramic plates is shown.
