Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von mehrschich- tigen Kunststoffverbunden.
Fluorpolymere weisen eine Vielzahl vorteilhafter Eigenschaften auf. Sie sind resis- tent gegenüber den meisten Chemikalien. Sie sind beständig gegen Umwelteinflüsse wie z.B. Witterung und UV-Strahlung. Fluorpolymere werden deshalb für zahlreiche Zwecke eingesetzt, speziell als Schutzschicht gegen Chemikalieneinwirkung oder als
UV-resistente Schutzschicht gegen Umwelteinflüsse anderer Art. Fluorpolymere haben jedoch den Nachteil, sehr teuer zu sein. Außerdem genügen ihre mechanischen Eigenschaften z.B. Schlagzähigkeiten nicht den Anforderungen aller Anwendungen. Deshalb werden Fluorpolymere teilweise als eine Schicht in mehrschichtigen Kunst- stoffverbunden eingesetzt. Die anderen Schichten tragen weitere vorteilhafte Eigenschaften bei, wie zum Beispiel gute mechanische Eigenschaften oder geringe Kosten oder funktionale Eigenschaften wie zum Beispiel leichte Aufschmelzbarkeit, wodurch der Kunststoffverbund zu Laminaten weiterverarbeitet werden kann.
US-A 4 659 625 offenbart Kunststoffverbunde aus drei Schichten, wobei die erste
Schicht aus Polyvinylfluorid oder Polyvinylidenfluorid, die zweite, mittlere Schicht aus einem Vinylacetatpolymer, beispielsweise einem Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymer, und die dritte Schicht aus einem polaren Polymer, beispielsweise Polycarbonat, besteht. Die mittlere Schicht aus Vinylacetatpolymer dient gemäß der Lehre von US- A 4 659 625 als Haftvermittler zur Verbindung der beiden äußeren Schichten. Dementsprechend wird in US-A 4 659 625 als Herstellverfahren das Verkleben der festen Schichten aus Polyvinylfluorid oder Polyvinylidenfluorid und dem polaren Polymer mittels Vinylacetatpolymer angegeben. Das Verkleben erfolgt gemäß der Lehre von US-A 4 659 625 entweder bei Raumtemperatur, wobei das Vinylacetatpolymer als Lösung eingesetzt wird oder durch Erwärmen über den Erweichungspunkt des Vinyl- acetatpolymers. wobei die äußeren Schichten fest bleiben. Weiterhin wird in US-A 4 659 625 die Coextrusion der drei Polymerschichten als mögliches Herstellverfahren genannt. In US-A 4 659 625 wird ausdrücklich darauf hingewiesen, daß das Her- stellverfahren gemäß der speziellen Eigenschaften der für die drei Schichten verwendeten Polymere ausgewählt werden muß.
Die Coextrusion ist ein besonders vorteilhaftes Verfahren zur Herstellung von mehrschichtigen Kunststoffverbunden. Bei der Coextrusion werden die Schichten des Verbundes in einem Coextrusionsblock als Schmelzeschichten zusammengeführt und danach gemeinsam durch eine Düse extrudiert. Zur Herstellung von Platten oder Folien verwendet man hierbei beispielsweise eine Breitschlitzdüse bei der Extrusion.
Die Herstellung von Kunststoffverbunden aus mehreren Schichten, wobei eine Schicht aus einem Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymer und eine Schicht aus Polycarbonat besteht, ist durch Coextrusion nicht möglich, da hinreichend niederviskose Poly- carbonatschmelzen eine so hohe Temperatur haben, typischerweise 280 bis 320°C, daß die Eigenschaften der Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymere z.B. durch Vernetzung beeinträchtigt werden. Es treten Verschlechterungen der optischen Eigenschaften wie z. B. Verfärbungen und Verschlechterungen der mechanischen Eigenschaften wie z. B. der Festigkeit und der Elastizität ein. Derartige Beeinträchtigungen sind im Hin- blick auf die Verwendung der Kunststoffverbunde, insbesondere z.B. im Einsatz in
Photovoltaik-Modulen unerwünscht.
Kunststoffverbunde aus drei Schichten, wobei die erste Schicht aus einem Fluorpolymer (insbesondere Polyvinylfluorid, im folgenden kurz PVF genannt), die zweite, mittlere Schicht aus Polycarbonat (im folgenden kurz PC genannt) und die dritte
Schicht aus Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymer (im folgenden kurz EVA genannt) besteht, werden beispielsweise zur Herstellung von Photovoltaik-Modulen benötigt. Ihre Herstellung durch Coextrusion für den genannten Verwendungszweck ist aus den bereits aufgeführten Gründen jedoch nicht möglich. Fluorpolymere und Polycarbonat haften sehr schlecht aufeinander. Deshalb wird zwischen der Schicht aus Fluorpolymer und der Schicht aus Polycarbonat üblicherweise ein Haftvermittler eingesetzt.
Der vorliegenden Erfindung liegt daher die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Kunststoffverbunden aus drei Schichten zur Verfügung zu stellen, wobei die erste Schicht aus einem Fluorpolymer, die zweite, mittlere Schicht aus Polycarbonat und die dritte Schicht aus Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymer besteht, das nicht die Nachteile des Standes der Technik aufweist.
Die erfindungsgemäße Aufgabe wird gelöst durch ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Kunststoffverbunden aus drei Schichten, wobei die erste Schicht aus einem Fluorpolymer, die zweite, mittlere Schicht aus Polycarbonat und die dritte Schicht aus Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymer besteht, gekennzeichnet durch die folgenden nach- einander auszuführenden Schritte:
a) Herstellen eines Kunststoffverbundes aus zwei Schichten, wobei die erste Schicht aus dem Fluorpolymer und die zweite Schicht aus dem Polycarbonat besteht,
b) Aufbringen der dritten Schicht aus Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymer auf die Polycarbonatschicht des Kunststoffverbundes aus zwei Schichten.
Das genannte Verfahren ist somit Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung.
Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren weist zahlreiche Vorteile auf. Die benötigten Kunststoffverbunde aus drei Schichten, wobei die erste Schicht aus einem Fluorpolymer, die zweite, mittlere Schicht aus Polycarbonat und die dritte Schicht aus Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymer besteht, lassen sich nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren auf einfache und kostengünstige Weise herstellen, ohne daß das Ethylen-
Vinylacetat-Copolymer dabei thermisch, z.B. durch Vernetzung, geschädigt wird. Das Verfahren ist lösungsmittelfrei und damit ökonomisch und ökologisch vorteilhaft. Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren ermöglicht die kontinuierliche Herstellung endloser Kunststoffverbunde und erspart, z.B. bei einer späteren Herstellung von Photovoltaik-Modulen, das separate Einlegen und Glattziehen der jeweiligen einzel- nen Schichten (Folien bzw. Platten).
Die erfindungsgemäßen Kunststoffverbunde haben gute mechanische Eigenschaften wie z.B. hohe Festigkeit, hohe Zähigkeit und hohe Elastizität. Sie haben gute optische Eigenschaften wie z.B. hohe Transparenz und einen hohen Glanz sowie eine geringe herstellbedingte Verfärbung. Sie haben eine hohe Beständigkeit gegenüber
Chemikalien und Umwelteinflüssen wie Witterung und UV-Strahlung. Dies gilt insbesondere dann, wenn mindestens eine der drei Schichten mit weiteren Additiven, wie z.B. UV-Stabilisatoren, Absorbern, Thermostabilisatoren, Farbmitteln, Katalysatoren, Hydrolysestabilisatoren, mineralischen Substanzen, Nanopartikeln usw. aus- gerüstet worden ist. Bevorzugt wird die Fluorpolymerschicht (gegebenenfalls auch die PC-Schicht) mit einer ausreichenden Menge eines adäquaten UV-Absorbers ausgerüstet. Weiterhin bevorzugt wird die PC-Schicht durch Coextrusion, Lackierung oder Kaschierung mit einem UV-Absorber-haltigen Material (beispielsweise 2- 20 Gew.-% UV-Absorber) geschützt, unabhängig davon, ob die PVF-Schicht UV- Absorber enthält oder nicht. Die Schichten des Kunststoffverbundes haften gut untereinander.
Die Verfahrensschritte a) und b) des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens können unmittelbar nacheinander oder in zeitlichem und/oder räumlichem Abstand voneinander durchgeführt werden, um z. B. den Kunststoffverbund aus zwei Schichten zwischenzeitlich zu lagern. Bevorzugt ist die Durchführung unmittelbar nacheinander. Hierbei kann zwischen den Verfahrensschritten a) und b) eine Erwärmung oder eine Kühlung des Kunststoffverbundes aus zwei Schichten erfolgen.
Eine bevorzugte Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens ist diejenige, bei der auf den Kunststoffverbund aus zwei Schichten, der in Verfahrensschritt a) hergestellt wird, vor Aufbringung der dritten Schicht in Verfahrensschritt b) auf die Polycarbonatschicht eine Haftvermittlerschicht aufgebracht wird.
Geeignete Haftvermittler sind beispielsweise solche auf Acrylatbasis.
Eine weitere bevorzugte Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens ist diejenige, bei der der Kunststoffverbund aus zwei Schichten im Verfahrensschritt b) eine Temperatur hat, bei der das Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymer keine thermische Schädigung erfährt, und bei der die Schicht aus Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymer als Folie auf den Kunststoffverbund aus zwei Schichten aufgebracht wird.
Hierbei hat der Kunststoffverbund aus zwei Schichten im Verfahrensschritt b) bevorzugt eine Temperatur von 20°C bis 120°C, besonders bevorzugt eine Temperatur von 50 bis 90°C. Die EVA-Folie wird bevorzugt bei einer Temperatur von 10 bis 60°C, besonders bevorzugt von 20 bis 40°C zugeführt.
Eine weitere bevorzugte Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens ist diejenige, bei der der Kunststoffverbund aus zwei Schichten im Verfahrensschritt b) eine Temperatur hat, bei der das Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymer keine thermische Schädigung z.B. durch Vernetzung erfährt, und bei der die Schicht aus Ethylen-
Vinylacetat-Copolymer als Schmelze auf den Kunststoffverbund aus zwei Schichten aufgebracht wird.
Hierbei hat der Kunststoffverbund aus zwei Schichten im Verfahrensschritt b) bevor- zugt eine Temperatur von 20 bis 120°C, besonders bevorzugt 50 bis 90°C. Die EVA-
Schmelze hat bevorzugt eine Temperatur von 80 bis 150°C, besonders bevorzugt von 90 bis 130°C, und wird bevorzugt nach Extrusion durch eine Breitschlitzdüse auf den Kunststoffverbund aus zwei Schichten aufgebracht.
Eine weitere bevorzugte Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens ist diejenige, bei der der Kunststoffverbund aus zwei Schichten in Verfahrensschritt a) durch Extrusion einer Polycarbonatschmelze auf die Polycarbonatschicht eines Kunststoffverbundes aus Polycarbonat und Fluorpolymer aufgebracht wird. Hierbei verbinden sich die ursprünglich vorhandene Schicht aus Polycarbonat und die zusätzlich aufgebrachte Schicht aus Polycarbonat zu einer einzigen Polycarbonat- schicht, so daß ein Kunststoffverbund aus zwei Schichten, einer Fluorpolymerschicht und einer Polycarbonatschicht, erhalten wird. Der eingesetzte Kunststoffverbund aus Polycarbonat und Fluorpolymer, auf den die Polycarbonatschmelze aufgebracht wird, kann eine Haftvermittlerschicht zwischen der Fluorpolymerschicht und der Polycarbonatschicht enthalten. Geeignete Haftvermittler sind hierbei beispielsweise Acrylat- Polymere.
Eine weitere bevorzugte Ausfuhrungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens ist diejenige, bei der der Kunststoffverbund aus zwei Schichten in Verfahrensschritt a) durch Extrusion einer Polycarbonatschmelze auf eine feste Fluorpolymerschicht auf- gebracht wird. Zwischen der Schicht aus Polycarbonat und der Schicht aus Fluorpolymer kann eine Haftvermittlerschicht eingesetzt werden.
Eine weitere bevorzugte Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens ist diejenige, bei der der Kunststoffverbund aus zwei Schichten in Verfahrensschritt a) durch Verkleben einer Schicht Polycarbonat und einer Schicht Fluorpolymer hergestellt wird.
Eine besonders bevorzugte Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens ist diejenige, bei der der Kunststoffverbund aus Schritt a) im Verfahrensschritt b) eine Temperatur hat, bei der das Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymer keine nennenswerte thermische Schädigung erfährt, und bei der die Schicht aus Ethylen-Vinylacetat- Copolymer als Schmelze auf den Kunststoffverbund aus zwei Schichten aufgebracht wird. Hierbei werden die Verfahrensschritte a) und b) bevorzugt unmittelbar nacheinander durchgeführt, wobei die Temperierung des Kunststoffverbundes aus zwei Schichten durch Abkühlung auf einer Transportstrecke erfolgt. Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymere im Sinne der vorliegenden Erfindung sind Copo- lymere aus Vinylacetet und Ethylen, die bevorzugt einen Vinylacetatgehalt von mindestens 30 Gew.-% enthalten. Besonders bevorzugt enthalten sie einen Vinylacetatgehalt von 50 bis 90 Gew.-%. Derartige Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymere sind bekannt und werden als Handelsprodukte vertrieben. Beispielsweise Ethylen- Vinyl- acetat-Folie, Typ Elvax 485 der Firma BP Chemicals, D-89165 Dietenheim, Deutschland. Ihre Herstellung kann nach bekannten Methoden erfolgen.
Polycarbonate im Sinne der vorliegenden Erfindung sind solche auf Basis der Diphe- nole der Formel (II)

Geeignete Diphenole der Formel (II) sind z.B. Hydrochinon, Resorcin, 4,4'-Dihy- droxydiphenyl, 2,2-Bis-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-propan (d.h. Bisphenol A), 2,4-Bis-(4- hydroxyphenyl)-2-methylbutan, 1 , 1 -Bis-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-cyclohexan, 2,2-Bis-(3- chlor-4-hydroxy-phenyl)-propan, 2,2-Bis-(3,5-dibrom-4-hydroxyphenyl)-propan.
Bevorzugte Diphenole der Formel (II) sind 2,2-Bis-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-propan, 2,2- Bis-(3 ,5-dichlor-4-hydroxyphenyl)-propan und 1 , 1 -Bis-(4-hydroxypheny l)-cyclo- hexan. Bevorzugte Diphenole der Formel (III) sind l,l-Bis-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3,3-dime- thylcyclohexan, l,l-Bis-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexan und 1,1-Bis- (4-hydroxyphenyl)-2,4,4-trimethyl-cyclopentan.
Erfindungsgemäß geeignete Polycarbonate sind sowohl Homopolycarbonate als auch
Copolycarbonate. Auch eine Mischung der vorstehend definierten thermoplastischen Polycarbonate ist geeignet.
Polycarbonate können in bekannter Weise aus Diphenolen mit Phosgen nach den Phasengrenzflächenverfahren oder mit Phosgen nach dem Verfahren in homogener
Phase, dem sogenannten Pyridinverfahren oder nach dem Schmelzumesterungsver- fahren aus Diphenolen und Kohlensäureestern, hergestellt werden, wobei das Molekulargewicht in bekannter Weise durch eine entsprechende Menge an bekannten Kettenabbrechern eingestellt werden kann. Diese Herstellverfahren sind z.B. beschrieben in H. Schnell, "Chemistry and Physis of Polycarbonates", Polymer Reviews, Band 9,
S. 31-76 Interscience Publishers, 1964.
Geeignete Kettenabbrecher sind z.B. Phenol, Cumylphenol, p-Chlorphenol, p-tert.- Butylphenol oder 2,4,6-Tribromphenol, aber auch langkettige Alkylphenole, wie 4- (l,l,3,3-Tetramethylbutyl)-phenol oder Monoalkylphenol bzw. Dialkylphenol mit insgesamt 8 bis 20 C- Atomen in den Alkylsubstituenten wie z.B. 3,5-di-tert.-Butyl- phenol, p-iso-Octylphenol, p-tert.-Octylphenol, p-Dodecylphenol und 2-(3,5-Dime- thyl-heptyl)-phenol und 4-(3,5-Dimethyl-heptyl)-phenol.
Die Menge an Kettenabbrechern beträgt im allgemeinen zwischen 0,5 und 10 Mol-%, bezogen auf die Summe der jeweils eingesetzten Diphenole der Formeln (II) und/oder (III).
Die erfindungsgemäß geeigneten Polycarbonate haben mittlere Molekulargewichte (Mw Gewichtsmittel), gemessen z.B. durch Ultrazentrifugation oder Streulichtmessung) von 10 000 bis 200 000 g/mol, vorzugsweise 18 000 bis 80 000 g/mol, besonders bevorzugt 19 000 bis 38 000 g/mol.
Bevorzugt ist hierbei l,l,l-Tris(4-hydroxyphenyl)-ethan und Bis-(3-methyl-4- hydroxyphenyl)-2-oxo-2,3-dihydroindol.
Die erfindungsgemäß geeigneten Polycarbonate können in bekannter Weise verzweigt sein, und zwar vorzugsweise durch den Einbau von 0,05 bis 2 Mol-%, bezo- gen auf die Summe der eingesetzten Diphenole, an drei- oder mehr als dreifunktio- nellen Verbindungen, z.B. solchen mit drei oder mehr als drei phenolischen Gruppen.
Bevorzugte Polycarbonate sind neben dem Bisphenol-A-Homopolycarbonat die Co- polycarbonate von Bisphenol A mit bis zu 15 Mol-%, bezogen auf die Mol-Summen an Diphenolen, an 2,2-Bis-(3,5-dibrom-4-hydroxyphenyl)-propan und die Copoly- carbonate von Bisphenol A mit bis zu 60 Mol-%, bezogen auf die Mol-Summen an Diphenolen, l,l-Bis-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexan.
Die Polycarbonate können teilweise oder vollständig durch aromatische Polyester- carbonate ersetzt werden. Die aromatischen Polycarbonate können auch Polysiloxan-
Blöcke enthalten. Deren Herstellung wird beispielsweise in der US-A 3 821 325 beschrieben.
Die eingesetzten Fluoφolymere sind Polymere, bei denen die Wasserstoffatome der Kohlenstoffkette des Polyethylens ganz oder teilweise durch Fluoratome ersetzt sind sowie davon abgeleitete Chlor- bzw. Fluor-Chlor-Derivate und abgeleitete Copoly- mere.
Bevorzugt sind die eingesetzten Fluorpolymere Polyvinylfluorid oder Polyvinyliden- fluorid. Besonderes bevorzugt ist Polyvinylfluorid. Ein Kunststoffverbund im Sinne der vorliegenden Erfindung ist insbesondere eine Kunststoffplatte oder eine Kunststofffolie. Dabei beträgt die Dicke der Platte oder Folie bevorzugt 300 μm bis 12 mm, besonders bevorzugt 500 μm bis 5 mm. Die Dicke der Fluoφolymerschicht beträgt bevorzugt 10 μm bis 500 μm, besonders bevorzugt 20 μm bis 200 μm. Die Dicke der Polycarbonatschicht beträgt bevorzugt
100 μm bis 12 mm, besonders bevorzugt 200 μm bis 5 mm. Die Dicke der Ethylen- Vinylacetat-Copolymerschicht beträgt bevorzugt 100 μm bis 1 mm, besonders bevorzugt 300 μm bis 800 μm.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Kunststoffverbunde können beispielsweise zur Herstellung von Photovoltaik-Modulen verwendet werden. Beispielsweise können Solarzellen auf der Basis von Silizium zwischen zwei Kunststoffverbunde mit dem dreischichtigen Aufbau Fluoφolymer-Polycarbonat-Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymer derart eingebettet werden, daß die Schichtfolge Fluoφolymer-Polycarbonat-Ethylen-Vinyl- acetat-Copolymer-Solarzellen-Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymer-Polycarbonat-Fluor- polymer vorliegt. In einem anschließenden Verfahren, z.B. dem Heißlaminierverfah- ren, wird diese Anordnung so stark erwärmt, daß das EVA erweicht, so daß sich die beiden EVA-Schichten unter Einschluß der Solarzellen verbinden.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Kunststoffverbunde können für weitere zahlreiche Zwecke eingesetzt werden. Beispielsweise können sie durch die hohe Chemikalienbeständigkeit der Fluoφolymerschicht und durch ihre hohe Witterungsbeständigkeit und UV- Beständigkeit gegebenenfalls nach Auflaminierung auf Trägermaterialien mittels der Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymerschicht als Werkstoff in der chemischen Industrie, der Nahrungsmittelindustrie oder der pharmazeutischen Industrie verwendet werden.
Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren wird im folgenden anhand einer, lediglich eine bevorzugte Ausführungsform, darstellenden Zeichnung (Fig. 1) näher erläutert.
In Fig. 1 ist die Herstellung eines erfindungsgemäßen Kunststoffverbunden aus drei
Schichten dargestellt. Eine zweischichtige Folie 1 aus einer Polycarbonatschicht 2 und einer Polyvinylfluoridschicht 3 wird über ein Drei- Walzen-Glättwerk 4 geführt. Zwischen der ersten und der zweiten Walze des Glättwerkes wird durch die Breitschlitzdüse 5, die durch einen Extruder mit einer Polycarbonatschmelze gespeist wird, ein Schmelzefilm aus Polycarbonat zugeführt. Dieser verbindet sich mit der Polycarbonatschicht 2, so daß eine dickere noch heiße Polycarbonatschicht und somit wiederum eine zweischichtige Folie 6 entsteht. Diese wird durch den Transport auf einer Rollenbahn 7 auf die erforderliche Temperatur abgekühlt, bei der die Folie aus Ethylen- Vinylacetet-Copolymer 9 nicht mehr thermisch geschädigt wird, aber noch ausreichend erweicht, um eine gute Haftung herbeizufuhren. Dann wird eine Folie aus Ethylen-Vinylacetet-Copolymer 9 auf die Polycarbonatschicht aufgebracht. Der so entstandene erfindungsgemäße Kunststoffverbund aus drei Schichten 10 wird über zwei weitere Rollen 11 und 12 abgezogen und kann anschließend gegebenenfalls nach Kühlung aufgewickelt oder anderweitig weiterverarbeitet werden.
Die Erfindung wird anschließend anhand von Beispielen näher erläutert.
Mit einer Anordnung wie in Fig. 1 dargestellt, wurde während einer PC-Plattenextru- sion eine EVA-Folie auf die Plattenoberseite und eine PVF-PC Folie auf die Plattenunterseite aufgebracht.
Die PC-Platte wurde durch Extrusion durch eine Breitschlitzdüse mit einer Breite von 800 mm und einem Düsenlippenspalt von 5 mm hergestellt. Die PC-Platte hatte eine Dicke von 3 mm und eine Breite von 780 mm.
Als Polycarbonat wurde Makrolon® 3103 der Bayer AG, Leverkusen, Deutschland eingesetzt. Dies ist ein Homopolycarbonat auf Basis von Bisphenol A.
Es wurden die für Makrolon® 3103 Plattenextrusion typischen Verarbeitungsparameter eingestellt: Temperatureinstellungen am Extruder:
Extruder Zone ZI 290°C

Folienbeschaffenheit:
1. Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymer (EVA): Elvax® 485.00, Fa. BP Chemicals, D-89165 Dietenheim, Deutschland
Foliendicke: 500 μm Folienbreite: 660 mm
2. Zweischichtfolie 1 (Makrofol® EPC, (PVC-PC-Folie) Fa. Bayer) Foliendicke 550 μm (375 μm Bisphenol- A-Homopolycarbonat, 25 μm PVF)
Die EVA Folie wurde nicht vorgetrocknet, die Makrofol EPC-Folie wurde bei 80°C im Umlufttrockner vorgetrocknet.
Walzentemperaturen des Drei- Walzen-Glättwerkes:
Walze 1 : 120°C
Walze 2: 127°C
Walze 3: 143°C
Abzugsgeschwindigkeit: 0.98 m/min Hergestellte Plattenmuster:
l. PVF-PC-Platte
2. PVF-PC-EVA-Platte
Versuchsdurchführung:
Die PVF-PC-Folie wurde von unten über die 1. Walze dem 1. Walzenspalt zugeführt. Die PC-Seite der Folie (glatte Folienseite) hatte dabei Kontakt zur PC-Schmelze. Der Wulst blieb an Walze 2 (entgegen der Erfahrung bei Stoffkaschierung). Die Folienzuführung erfolgte über die Quertraverse, wobei die Folie etwas unter Spannung gehalten wurde. Die Abwickelgeschwindigkeit ergab sich durch die Plattenabzugsgeschwindigkeit.
Die EVA-Folie wurde von oben über eine Chromrolle (1 1) zugeführt, wobei die
Platte unter der Rolle durchgeführt wurde (Folienzuführung von oben, Anpreßdruckaufbringung durch Rolle). Die Plattentemperatur an dieser Stelle betrug 76°C. An dieser Position schmolz die Folie leicht an und ließ sich von Hand nicht wieder abtrennen. Die Abwickelgeschwindigkeit ergab sich durch die Plattenabzugsge- schwindigkeit.
Zur Verhinderung des Anklebens der EVA-Folie an den Chromrollen der Rollenbahn, wurde zwischen EVA-Folie und Chromrolle eine Schutzfolie aus PE zugeführt, welche gleichzeitig als Schutzfolie des Verbundes diente. Die PE-Folie ließ sich später problemlos von der kaschierten Platte entfernen.

Claims

Patentansprüche
1. Verfahren zur Herstellung von Kunststoffverbunden aus drei Schichten, wobei die erste Schicht aus einem Fluoφolymer, die zweite, mittlere Schicht aus Polycarbonat und die dritte Schicht aus Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymer besteht, gekennzeichnet durch die folgenden nacheinander auszuführenden Schritte:
a) Herstellen eines Kunststoffverbundes aus zwei Schichten, wobei die erste Schicht aus dem Fluoφolymer und die zweite Schicht aus dem
Polycarbonat besteht,
b) Aufbringen der dritten Schicht aus Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymer auf die Polycarbonatschicht des Kunststoffverbundes aus zwei Schich- ten.
2. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Kunststoffverbund aus zwei Schichten im Verfahrensschritt b) eine Temperatur hat, bei der das Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymer keine thermische Schädigung erfährt, und daß die Schicht aus Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymer als Folie auf den
Kunststoffverbund aus zwei Schichten aufgebracht wird.
3. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Kunststoffverbund aus zwei Schichten im Verfahrensschritt b) eine Temperatur von 20 bis l20°C hat.
4. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Verfahrensschritte a) und b) unmittelbar nacheinander durchgeführt werden. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als Fluoφolymer Polyvinylfluorid und als Polycarbonat Polycarbonat auf Basis von Bisphenol A eingesetzt wird.
