Definitions

  • the invention relates to a bearing block for an internal combustion engine, in which the bearing caps for the crankshaft bearing are mounted on the cylinder block facing side of the bearing block.
  • Such a bearing chair is e.g. known from DE 29609950-U1.
  • the advantage for the use of a bearing chair is basically the ease of mounting due to modular design and in a substantial stiffening of the combustion chamber opposite end of the engine.
  • the bearing caps for the crankshaft by means provided on both sides of the crankshaft bearing bearing cap screws are mounted on the cylinder block facing side of the bearing block.
  • an external oil gallery integrated on the bearing block is also arranged. Starting from the oil gallery bearing bearing oil holes are provided in the bearing block, which lead to running in the bearing cap oil holes. In this way, the oil can be supplied to the bearing cover located in the half of the crankshaft bearing.
  • the exit opening of the bearing cap oil hole relatively close to the extending between the bearing cap and bearing bearing bearing surface bearing surface.
  • the object of the invention was to improve the oil supply of the crankshaft bearing in a bearing block with cylinder block side mounted bearing caps. This object is solved by the characterizing features of claim 1.
  • the oil gallery inside the bearing block on the side facing away from the bearing caps and this side is arranged approximately opposite. This has the advantage that there is a much greater freedom in the arrangement of the bearing block oil hole, which connects the oil gallery with the bearing cap oil hole.
  • the bearing cap oil hole according to the requirements of the bearing lubrication - in their position only limited by the Lagerdeckelgeometrie - optimized to be selected.
  • the oil gallery is arranged in alignment under the bearing cap contact surfaces which extend between the bearing cap and the bearing block.
  • the production is much easier because the bearing block oil hole can be performed parallel to the bearing cap screws receiving bore.
  • the bearing block oil bore is provided between the crankshaft bearing and the bearing cap screw, with the bearing block oil bore passing through the bearing cap contact surface.
  • the bearing-oil hole can thereby preferably be arranged axially (in crankshaft axis) offset from the plane through the bearing cap screw axes. As a result, an uninterrupted power flow in the bearing cap can be achieved.
  • the oil gallery extends in alignment with the bearing cover bearing surfaces lying in the crankshaft rotation direction. This is achieved in combination with the preceding features that in conjunction with a correspondingly arranged bearing cap oil hole, the oil is supplied at a point of the crankshaft, which is still above the lower, located in the bearing seat, half of the crankshaft bearing and only with the rotation of the Screw crankshaft into this lower half of the bearing.
  • the bearing-oil hole is at least partially formed by a bearing cap screws receiving bore.
  • the necessary manufacturing operations can be further optimized.
  • in connection with corresponding overflow spaces on the bearing cap screw itself or at the bore of the connection between the bearing cap oil hole and bearing block oil hole can be made.
  • lying near the oil gallery bearing cap screws are at least partially hollow, said cavity is connected via holes in the bearing cap screw with the bearing cap screws receiving bore and this is connected on the one hand to the oil gallery, on the other hand with the respective bearing cap oil hole.
  • the oil gallery can be arranged directly at the lower end of the bearing cover screws receiving bore so that the oil gallery itself or the bearing cap screw hole form the bearing block oil hole.
  • Figs. 1 and 2 show schematically a section which extends approximately through the axes of the bearing cap fixing screws.
  • the internal combustion engine 1 consists in a known manner of a bearing block 2, the cylinder block 3 and the cylinder head 4. Oil pan and cylinder head cover are also only schematically.
  • bearing cap 5 On the bearing block 2 bearing cap 5 are screwed by means of Lagerdeckelbearrangingingsschrauben 51. Between bearing block 2 and the bearing caps 5, the holes 52 are provided for the crankshaft bearing (main bearing). In about the lower half of the bearing bore 52 is thus in the bearing block, while the upper half is mounted in the bearing cap. Between camp chair 2 and Bearing cover 5, the bearing cover bearing surfaces 53 are formed. These may be milled surfaces or - in the case of bearing caps cast during manufacture of the bearing block - fracture surfaces.
  • the bearing cap fixing screws 51 are arranged approximately symmetrically to the bore.
  • a sealing surface 54 is provided for mounting the bearing block on the cylinder block to the cylinder block 3. This sealing surface 54 extends from the outer wall 55 of the bearing block in the direction of the bore 52 for the crankshaft bearing approximately perpendicular to the cylinder block mounting screws preferably over this receiving holes.
  • the oil gallery 7 extends with its axis approximately parallel to the axis of the crankshaft 52.
  • a bearing block oil hole 72 is provided, which here runs approximately parallel to the axis of the bearing cap screws and opens into the bearing cap contact surface 53.
  • a bearing cover bore 71 ' is provided which is connected to an approximately transversely extending bearing cover bore 71.
  • the bearing cover bore 71 opens into the bearing cover bearing surface, which is on the side of the bearing cap in the direction of rotation (indicated by the arrow).
  • the bearing block hole can also be arranged axially offset from the cutting plane chosen here. In particular, several Lagerdeckel- or bearing seat oil holes can be attached.
  • one of the bearing cap screws 51 is made partly hollow.
  • the cavity consists here of a substantially axially extending to the bearing cap screw hole 74, which passes through the end opposite the screw head.
  • Two holes 73 extending transversely thereto open into an annular space 75 which communicates with the bearing cap oil hole 71.
  • the two transverse bores 73 are provided here on the one hand to ensure a sufficient flow opening, on the other hand not to weaken the support cross-section of the bearing cap screw too much.
  • the bore in the bearing bracket for the bearing cap screw 71 opens directly or indirectly (via a bearing oil hole 72) in the oil gallery 7.
