Definitions
- the present invention relates to a device and a method for surveillance and / or alarm, in particular for surveillance and protection goods of premises or people, including a central unit, at less a peripheral organ allowing the detection of an intrusion and means of signaling an alarm.
- Security systems generally fall into two categories main systems, wired systems and systems with means of radio links. These have many advantages by compared to wired systems and in particular they allow installation easy of the peripheral units of the central unit even in places difficult to access for wired systems, thus enabling better surveillance coverage and at the same time better protection.
- patent EP-A-0 811 959 proposes to put implement several radio link channels, analyze the availability of these channels and transmit information through the channel available.
- Alarm equipment manufacturers have also designed multiple frequency systems or relatively radio channels distant from each other, allowing information from organs peripherals to be transmitted to the central processing unit even if one of the frequencies is scrambled by an external signal.
- the connection between the peripheral organs and the central unit is no longer ensured, this which makes the alarm system non-operational if the link loss is not detected or triggers the alarm if the total loss of connection is detected. In either case, the alarm system does not fill not its main function which is to signal the presence of an intruder in a monitored area.
- the object of the invention is to provide an improvement to the systems monitoring and / or wireless alarm taking into account the above drawbacks.
- the present invention first of all proposes a device for monitoring and / or alarm comprising a central unit, at least one peripheral intrusion detection device, signaling means and radio link means allowing links over multiple redundant link channels between at least one peripheral intrusion detection unit and the central unit so that this peripheral organ transmits to this central unit signals expected by the latter, and means to control the capacity or availability of each of said link channels to transmit said expected signals.
- the device further comprises means for count the number of available channels for which the received signal is a expected signal and / or the number of unavailable channels for which the signal received is not an expected signal, means of transmission to transmit to said signaling means a control signal whose state corresponds to the number of available channels and / or the number of channels unavailable and means to selectively activate these means of signaling according to the state of said control signal.
- said signaling means comprise of preferably means to be placed or activated according to at least two different operating modes depending on at least two states of said control signal.
- said signaling means are preferably sound, light or electric means.
- said means for controlling the availability of each of said connecting channels comprises means for measuring the noise level in each of said channels and means for controlling the presence of an expected signal from a peripheral organ.
- said transmission means deliver preferably said control signal whenever the number of channels available and / or unavailable is modified for at least one period determined.
- said signaling means comprise of preferably means to be placed or activated according to modes of different operation depending on whether said means of transmission transmit said control signal or a signal corresponding to a intrusion detection.
- the present invention also provides a monitoring method and / or alarm comprising a central unit, at least one member intrusion detection device, signaling means and radio link means allowing radio links on several redundant link channels between at least one member intrusion detection device and central processing unit, in which this organ is capable of transmitting signals to this central processing unit expected by the latter and the central unit is able to control the capacity or availability of each of said link channels to transmit said expected signals.
- the method preferably consists in placing or activating said signaling means according to at least two modes of different operation as a function of at least two states of said signal ordered.
- the method preferably consists in delivering the said control signal whenever the number of available channels and / or unavailable is modified for at least a specified period.
- the method preferably consists in placing or activating said signaling means according to different operating modes depending on whether said transmission means transmit said signal command or a signal corresponding to an intrusion detection.
- a device monitoring and / or alarm 100 which includes three peripheral organs of intrusion detection 1, 2 and 3 preferably consisting of detectors volumetric or point detectors, communicating with a unit control panel 4 on four radio link channels f1, f2, f3 and f4 independent.
- the central unit 4 communicates by a radio link 5a radio with a siren 5 and by a wire 6a with a telephone dialer 6.
- the peripheral detection member 1 comprises, like the others organs 2 and 3, a processing unit 7 connected to an emission circuit 8 and to at least one sensor 9, as well as an antenna 10 connected to the output of the circuit 8.
- this peripheral member 1 is as follows.
- the processing unit 7 processes the data from the sensor (s) 9 and orders sending to central 4 via the transmission circuit 8 and antenna 10 of a message or signal corresponding to the data from sensors.
- This message can be an intrusion or self-protection signaling in particular in the event of an attempt to open the housing of the peripheral organ but also a message indicating a state of this organ, in particular a defect in its supply of electrical energy.
- the message sent by each peripheral organ to the central unit 4 may also include an identity code of this peripheral organ, of so that the central processing unit 4 which stores in a memory the whole codes of peripheral detection devices only accept messages peripheral organs for which it is programmed.
- the transmission circuit 8 of the organs peripherals mainly includes oscillators to generate different carrier frequencies each corresponding to a channel radio link. Each carrier frequency is mixed in a mixer with one input for the carrier frequency and one input for the message to be transmitted to the central unit 4.
- the different frequencies carriers are thus modulated by the same message so as to obtain output of their transmission circuit a redundant message on the number of selected channels.
- the modulation known per se, is preferably a amplitude modulation.
- the message to be transmitted is mixed with four carrier frequencies so as to obtain the emission of signals preferably centered on the frequencies of 433.20, 434.32, 868.30 and 869 MHz.
- the assembly of capacitors includes a capacitor 15 with variable capacity voltage controlled.
- Super heterodyne receiver 11 also includes a mixer 16, two inputs of which are connected to the local oscillator 12 and to an antenna reception 17 via an input amplifier 18 and an output connected to a signal amplifier 19.
- the central unit also includes an electronic unit 20 of signal processing and control.
- the electronic unit 20 includes an input 21 on which is connected line 22 from an analog / digital converter 23 of which the input is connected to the output of amplifier 19, as well as an input 24 on which is connected the output line 25 from a comparator 26 including a input is connected to the output of amplifier 19 and its other input to a signal of reference constituting a threshold S.
- the electronic unit 20 further comprises an output 27 on which a line 28 is connected connected to the input of a converter digital / analog 29 whose output is connected to capacitor 15 to variable capacity.
- the super heterodyne receiver 11 and the electronic unit 20 operates in the following preferred manner.
- the electronic unit 20 is programmed to deliver by line 28 a control signal to digital / analog converter 29 whose output imposes on the capacitor 15 a determined voltage thus fixing a frequency oscillation of the local oscillator 12.
- This oscillation frequency controlled allows the super heterodyne receiver to receive a signal outside on a first reception channel which corresponds to a channel emission of one of the peripheral organs 1, 2 and 3.
- the electronic unit 20 thus delivers at programmed intervals different control signals so as to modify the oscillation frequency of the local oscillator 12 in order to scan the different link channels corresponding to the different emission channels of the peripheral organs 1, 2 and 3.
- the operation during the reception by the central unit 4 of an expected signal emitted by an organ device 1, 2 or 3 is as follows.
- the signal emitted by a peripheral organ on one of the four channels is received by antenna 17. It is mixed with the signal at the frequency corresponding oscillation from the local oscillator 12, in the mixer 16, so as to demodulate the received signal and to find the message transmitted by the peripheral organ in question.
- the signal obtained at the output of mixer 16 is amplified by amplifier 19 and the signal obtained at the output of this amplifier is digitized through the converter 23 then directed via line 22 to the input 21 of the electronic unit.
- This input 21 is connected to a level unit of saturation 30 of this electronic unit.
- the signal obtained at amplifier 19 output is compared to threshold S in comparator 26.
- the result of this comparison is introduced, via its input 24 in a decoding unit 31 of the electronic unit 20.
- This decoding unit analyzes the signal from comparator 26.
- the electronic unit 20 delivers to again pilot signals so that receiver 11 scans successively the other connecting channels.
- the electronic unit 20 Following receipt of said expected signal, the electronic unit 20 generates one or more instruction signals depending on the result of the content of the signal received, which corresponds to the expected message sent by the peripheral organ corresponding.
- These instruction signals may contain orders of alarm triggered, directed to siren 5 and / or to the transmitter telephone 6 or organ status warning orders peripheral.
- the operation during the reception of a foreign or saturation signal is as follows.
- the decoding unit 31 can detect the fact that said received signal is not an expected signal emitted by one peripheral organs 1, 2 or 3 but is a foreign or saturated signal. This observation may result in particular from an analysis of the format of the signal received if it, for example, is longer than a signal from a peripheral organ, of the very content of the message, in particular of the absence of an identification code integrated into the message.
- the decoding unit 31 generates a first signal SI1 information indicating that the signal received on the receiving channel analyzed is a foreign signal.
- this unit When the saturation unit 30 finds that the level of the signal received is greater than a predetermined threshold Ss, possibly variable, this unit generates a second information signal SI2.
- this counter 32 records the fact that the channel in reception analyzed is not available.
- the counter 32 therefore records the connection channels, between the organs peripherals 1, 2 and 3 and the central processing unit 4 which are unavailable and increments by one when a channel becomes unavailable and becomes decrements by one when a channel becomes available again.
- the electronic unit 20 again delivers control signals so that the receiver 11 resumes scanning the different reception channels.
- the CPU 4 is programmed to transmit by radio to the siren 5 and by wired to the telephone transmitter 6, a control signal Sc, the content corresponds to the number of unavailable and / or available channels stored in counter 32.
- the siren 5 includes an electronic circuit 33 in which the signal Sc command it receives is compared to reference signals from a register, each of these signals corresponding to a mode of operation particular, that is to say a particular sound signal to be emitted.
- the siren 5 can be possibly activated, according to suitable sound operating modes depending on the number of available or unavailable link channels between the detection elements 1, 2 and 3 and the central unit 4.
- the sounder 34 of the siren 5 is not activated. If three transmission channels are unavailable at the same time the circuit electronics 33 controls sound unit 34 to beep spaced warning for a fixed period. If the four channels are unavailable at the same time, then the circuit electronics 33 controls the sound element 34 so that it emits a sound of higher intensity constituting an alarm.
- the telephone transmitter 6 can comprise an electronic circuit designed and programmed to generate signals command and telephone information adapted to the command signal Sc he receives.
- the electronic unit 20 does not record in the counter 32 that a link channel is unavailable only when this channel receives a saturated signal or when the channel saturation level is higher than a threshold for a number of scan cycles corresponding to a duration determined.
- the central unit 4 can comprise as many receivers as channels to scan allowing to know simultaneously the saturation state of each channel.
- the electronic unit 20, at least as regards its part of monitoring the availability of link channels could be integrated in signaling means such as siren 5 or telephone transmitter 6, for example being physically connected or integrated into the electronic circuit 33 of the siren 5.
- the structure of the receiver of the central processing unit 4 used may be different. It is indeed possible to use other types of receptors and in particular receptors of the super-reaction or homodyne type.
- each peripheral organ could present its own link channels different from those of others.
