Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte à un thermomètre clinique du type auriculaire, qui permet à l'utilisateur de tenir le corps principal du thermomètre selon un certain mode en fonction de la position de la membrane du tympan de la personne dont on doit mesurer la température, et qui comprend un corps principal devant être tenu dans la main lorsqu'on mesure la température au niveau de la membrane du tympan, ainsi qu'une sonde fixée saillante à ce corps principal et destinée à être introduite dans le conduit auditif externe de la personne. Le corps principal possède un côté sur lequel la sonde est saillante et un côté opposé à ce côté, ledit côté opposé étant formé d'une surface courbe ayant une courbure généralement constante dans un sens perpendiculaire à un plan de référence contenant l'axe central de la sonde. Le corps principal comporte en outre des repères indiquant à l'utilisateur comment tenir le corps principal du thermomètre selon plusieurs modes qui diffèrent en fonction des directions dans lesquelles la sonde est introduite dans le conduit auditif externe de la personne.
