Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a link bracelet comprising a plurality of strips serving as connecting and articulation means between the links and means for holding said bars in said links.
  • bracelets have been proposed (see for example, the document CH 600 815) comprising an inner chain made of steel and supporting all the mechanical stresses, this inner chain being dressed by decorative links slipped or threaded on the inner chain.
  • This solution has the disadvantage of being complex and having a high cost.
  • the EP 0 950 364 proposes a bar whose at least one end is slotted, this end being arranged to cooperate with a locking piece penetrating the slot of said end and thus fixing the bar to the link.
  • This last solution has the disadvantage of requiring a welded locking part, stuck or chased into the link to prevent dislocation untimely bracelet.
  • Another document FR-A-2 727 168 representing the preamble of the 1, proposes a bar held axially at one end only. by a closed ring of superelastic material encased in a link and snapping into a groove at the end of the bar.
  • each bar is held axially by at least one of its ends to a link by means of a flanged bushing designed and arranged to rely on held by both the bar and the link.
  • the present invention is also original by the method of assembly of different elements constituting the bracelet, a process which will be described in detail below.
  • FIG. bracelet has only one row of links 50, which has been shown as three links referenced 2, 3 and 4.
  • links 50 which has been shown as three links referenced 2, 3 and 4.
  • two links successively, for example links 2 and 3 are linked and articulated one after the the other by means of a bar 5.
  • This bar 5 is housed in three aligned holes, either the holes 17 of the link 2 aligned with the hole 25 of the link 3.
  • FIG. appear the axial holding means of the bar 5 in the link 2 consisting, according to a feature of the present invention, of a bushing flange 6 (shown in section in FIG. 1 and in perspective in FIG. 2) disposed at each end 13 and 24 of the bar, this collar bushing 6 being designed and arranged to rely on retaining means 7 and 8 worn at a time by the bar 5 and by the link 2, retaining means, a form of execution of which to be explained now.
  • a bushing flange 6 shown in section in FIG. 1 and in perspective in FIG. 2
  • Figures 1 and 2 show that the bar 5 comprises at each of its ends 13 and 24 a cylindrical groove 9 which precedes a head 10.
  • the head 10 has a lower shoulder 7 and a frustoconical crown 12.
  • Each end 13 and 24 of the bar 5 is engaged in a housing 14 pierced in the link 2.
  • This housing 14 has a first hole 15 which opens on a wall 16 of the link 2, this first hole 15 being followed by a second hole 17 of smaller diameter than the first.
  • the first and second holes 15 and 17 form a shoulder 8.
  • a bushing flange 6 is housed between the cylindrical groove 9 of the bar 5 and the inner wall of the second hole 17, this sleeve 16 being made of a piece with a cylindrical body 18 and a collar 19.
  • Figures 1 and 4 show finally that the flange 19 is taken sandwiched between the shoulder 8 formed by the first and second holes 15 and 17 and the lower shoulder 7 of the head 10 to axially hold the bar 5 either in the link 2 of Figure 1, in the link 31 of Figure 4.
  • the collar bushing 6 presents along its entire length a slot 20 whose function will be explained later when we talk about the method of assembling the bracelet.
  • a collar bushing 6 is disposed at each ends 13 and 24 of the bar 5 to immobilize the latter.
  • these ends 13 and 24 are housed at both ends of the same link 2 and the same bar 5 through the hole 25 of the link 3 to link and articulate link 2 on link 3. The same goes for link 3 and 4.
  • the ends 13 and 24 of the 5 are each capped with a flanged bushing 6.
  • the ends are housed respectively in first and second lateral links 31 and 35 of a bracelet which further comprises, in steps of assembly, three central links 32, 33 and 34, the central links 32 and 34 in contact with the side links 31 and 35 staggered by half a step to form a bracelet with five rows of two rows 26 and 30 of side links and three rows 27, 28 and 29 central links.
  • the end of the bracelet can comprise a link 36 in one piece, for example serving as a junction for a clasp.
  • FIG. 3 shows that the collar bushing 6 can be arranged only at a first end of the bar.
  • This way of doing for the second end 21 has already been disclosed in EP 0 950 364 cited above.
  • the idea of axially holding the bar by means of at least one socket collar was born primarily from the concern not to subject the link constraints exaggerated mechanics that could damage it and even explode it if maintenance was carried out by driving in a brittle and / or hard material such as ceramic, a hard metal, diamond PCD (Polykristallin Diamond), or CVD diamond.
  • a brittle and / or hard material such as ceramic, a hard metal, diamond PCD (Polykristallin Diamond), or CVD diamond.
  • the links not require special machining, such as threading and can advantageously be made of pressed ceramic using starting from the ceramic powder compressed into a mold to form a blank which is then sintered to ensure the cohesion of the powder.
  • the bar 5 is then inserted through its free end 24 into the holes 17 and 25 arranged in succession of the two links together 2 and 3.
  • a second collar bushing 6 is mounted on the second end 24 of the bar 5 and this in the same way as that described about the first collar bushing mounted on the first end 13 of the bar.
  • This montage being completed each of the flanges 19 of the first and second bushings flange 6 is then sandwiched between the shoulder 8 formed by the first and second holes 15 and 17 pierced in the link 2 and the lower shoulder 7 of the head 10, which axially keeps the bar 5 in the link 2
  • first end 13 of the bar 5 is retained by a first collar bush in a first side link 31 and the second end 24 of the bar 5 is retained by a second flanged bush in a second link 35, while the same bar 5 passes through the central links 32, 33 and 34.
  • the strap using the flanged sleeve of the invention is very advantageous as for its cost price, that it comprises a single row of links or more of these rows.
