Definitions
- the invention relates to cut protection clothing made from a yarn with a core Glass filaments and an aramid fiber sheath.
- US-A-5,177,948 discloses and from a non-metallic composite yarn manufactured textile fabrics and protective clothing, this increased Cut resistance, flexibility and flexibility should have compared to Cut protection games that contain metallic wires.
- the yarn of US-A-5,177,948 contains a fiber core and a sheath that surrounds the core is wrapped. At least one strand of the core consists of glass fibers and this Strand has a titer of 375 to 1000 den, corresponding to about 417 to 1111 dtex on.
- the sheath wrapped around the core comprises at least two strands which are in opposite directions, spirally wrapped around the core, and the non-metallic composite yarn has a total denier of 2,000 to 5,000 corresponding to 2222 to 5555 dtex.
- Aramid fibers can be used for cladding, but polyethylene fibers to be favoured.
- the composite yarn of US-A-5,177,948 is said to be on conventional knitting or Weaving machines are processed into textile fabrics or for production be knitted from protective clothing.
- the production of the composite yarn of US-A-5,177,948 is very expensive because two strands of yarn have to be wrapped around a core and thus first the core, which can also consist of several skeins of thread, and the yarn strands required for wrapping are made available separately and must be wrapped in further operations.
- This yarn should offer good cut protection, but due to the structure of the yarn should this is difficult to process on modern knitting machines and too comparatively stiff cut protection articles due to the structure and thickness of the yarn to lead.
- the present invention is therefore based on the object of cut protection clothing to provide, which consists of a yarn that is simple is producible, and which offers high cut protection with good wearing comfort. Furthermore, the cut protection clothing should have a high abrasion resistance.
- the yarn is a thread made of aramid staple fibers Is glass filaments
- the wound thread has a total titer of 250 to Has 1250 dtex and the titer of the glass filaments is 150 to 450 dtex.
- the proportion by weight of the glass filaments should be 30 to 60%, preferably 40 to 50% of the Total weight of the wound thread.
- total titer of the thread 400 to 800 dtex are preferred.
- the total titer of the glass filaments is the total titer of a multifilament glass filament yarn, the according to the invention is 150 to 450 dtex, preferably 200 to 350 dtex.
- the cut protection clothing is made especially from the wound thread knitted. It is particularly advantageous if two wound threads together are twisted, as this means that the abrasion resistance of those made from them is higher Cut protection clothing is achieved.
- the thread made from glass filaments covered with aramid staple fibers can be produced particularly advantageously by the friction spinning process. So that is an inexpensive production of the thread possible in one operation.
- to Manufacturing the thread can use friction spinning machines like the one under the name DREF 2, DREF 2000 from the textile machine factory Dr. Ernst Fehrer AG sold are used or as described for example in DE-A-37 41 783 become.
- the cut protection clothing is in particular one Cut protection glove, but also arm guards or forearm protectors possible.
- Cut resistant gloves of the present invention are preferred with Needle pitches of 10 and 13 gauge made. It is easy to very light gloves that are not made with the yarn according to US-A-5,177,948 can be because the yarn described therein is heavy and inherently too stiff. Processing with a Needle division of 10 gauge and in particular of 13 gauge for a total titer of the composite yarn of at least 2000 den can hardly be realized.
- cut protection gloves are in accordance with the standard DIN EN 388 (1994) "Checking protective gloves against mechanical risks” measured, and the abrasion resistance, cut resistance, Tear resistance and puncture resistance are in performance levels 1 to 5 classified, the properties of a protective glove are the better, depending higher is the power level in which it is classified.
- the glove was cut according to DIN EN 388 regarding cut resistance and Abrasion resistance at the Institut Textile de France, an accredited Certification body for personal protective equipment, examined and was classified with regard to abrasion resistance in performance level 3 and with regard to Cut protection in class 5, i.e. in the highest class in which a glove in the Can be classified in terms of cut protection.
- This glove was also developed by the Institut Textile de France in accordance with DIN EN 388 Cut resistance was examined and was also in class 5 for cut resistance classified.
- This glove according to the invention is thus characterized by a very high cut protection with low weight, resulting in a special high wearing comfort.
- a cut protection glove according to the invention produced, which had a weight of only 17.8 g.
- the Glove a cut resistance according to DIN EN 388 in class 5 and a Abrasion resistance in class 2.
- Example 2 The wound thread from Example 2 became a glove on one Knitting machine made with a needle gauge of 10 gauge. The glove was at a weight of 23.2 g in terms of cut resistance in class 5 and in Class 3 rated for abrasion resistance.
- a glove was knitted on a knitting machine with 7 gauge needle pitch.
- the thread used for this is made of aramid staple fibers
- Glass filaments had a total titer of 2630 dtex.
- the titer of the Glass filaments were 680 dtex and their weight percentage was 26%.
- a twist of two No threads were used in this example.
- DIN EN 388 this too Glove, which weighed 36.6 g, in class 5 with regard to Cut protection can be classified.
- abrasion resistance however, it was only classified in class 1.
- the glove fulfills this For example, not the demands on a good quality protective glove be put.
- a knitting machine with 10 gauge Needle pitch knitted a glove In a further comparative example, a knitting machine with 10 gauge Needle pitch knitted a glove.
- the thread used for this from Glass filaments spun around aramid staple had a total titer of 360 dtex on.
- the titer of the glass filaments was 110 dtex and their weight fraction 30%.
- Two wound threads were twisted together, and two each threads twisted together were fed in parallel to the knitting machine.
- This glove which had a weight of about 22 g, could only meet DIN EN 388 in Class 1 with regard to cut protection, with which the glove is Cut protection standard required by industry not met.
