Ces pavés 11 et 12 peuvent rester attachés entre eux par un ligament de faible épaisseur au niveau de la face frontale 19, comme cela a été représenté à la figure 2. L'ensemble des pavés est ainsi plus facile à manipuler lors de la fabrication de la touche, et la face frontale est renforcée. En variante, ils peuvent être complètement indépendants.
