Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Lackieren von Fahrzeugkarosserien, bei welchem diese mit Hilfe eines Fördersystems an mindestens einer lackauftragenden Applikationseinrichtung vorbeibewegt werden, die ihrerseits von einer Applikationsmaschine geführt ist, und bei welchem Flächen der Fahrzeugkarosserie lackiert werden, die unterschiedliche Neigung aufweisen, wobei die Fahrzeugkarosserien zum Lackieren von Flächen mit unterschiedlicher Neigung um eine Achse verdreht und so an derselben Art von Applikationseinrichtung und derselben Art von Applikationsmaschine in unterschiedlichen Winkelorientierungen vorbeibewegt werden,
und
eine Vorrichtung zum Lackieren von Fahrzeugkarosserien mit

  • a) einem Fördersystem für die Fahrzeugkarosserien;
  • b) mindestens einer lackauftragenden Applikationseinrichtung, an welcher die Fahrzeugkarosserien mittels des Fördersystems vorbeibewegt werden;
  • c) mindestens einer Applikationsmaschine, mit welcher die Applikationseinrichtung führbar ist; wobei
  • d) das Fördersystem mindestens eine Dreheinrichtung aufweist, in welcher die Fahrzeugkarosserien so gehaltert sind, daß sie jeweils um eine Achse verdrehbar sind.

Letztere werden bei dieser hin- und hergehenden Bewegung mit Hilfe der Gelenkarme 24 bzw. 25 auf den jeweils lackierten Flächenbereich zu bzw. von diesem weg bewegt, so daß ein konstanter Abstand zwischen Lack-Applikationseinrichtung 28, 29 und dem entsprechenden Flächenbereich eingehalten wird.   1. A process for painting vehicle bodies (10), in which these are moved past at least one paint-applying application device (26, 27, 28, 29) with the aid of a conveyor system (40), said application device for its part being guided by an application machine (18, 19, 20, 21), and in which faces of the vehicle bodies (10) which have different inclinations are painted, with
    the vehicle bodies (10) being rotated about an axis for the purpose of painting faces having different inclinations, and thus being moved past the same type of application device (26, 27, 28, 29) and the same type of application machine (18, 19, 20, 21) in different angular orientations,
    characterised in that
    the vehicle bodies (10) are moved past the same application device (26, 27, 28, 29) a plurality of times, an angular rotation of the vehicle bodies (10) being effected at one or more reversal points in the movement.
  2. A process according to Claim 1, characterised in that the axis about which the vehicle bodies (10) are rotated is their longitudinal axis.
  3. A device for painting vehicle bodies (10) having
    a) a conveyor system (40) for the vehicle bodies (10);
    b) at least one paint-applying application device (26, 27, 28, 29) past which the vehicle bodies (10) are moved by means of the conveyor system (40);
    c) at least one application machine (18, 19, 20, 21), by means of which the application device (26, 27, 28, 29) may be guided, with
    d) the conveyor system (40) having at least one rotating device (13) in which the vehicle bodies (10) are held such that they may be rotated in each case about an axis,
    characterised in that
    e) the direction of movement of the conveyor system (40) may be reversed and the rotating device (13) may be rotated at one or more reversal points in the movement.
  4. A device according to Claim 3, characterised in that the axis about which the vehicle bodies (10) may be rotated is their longitudinal axis.
