Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a handicapped lifting and transporting device (hereinafter referred to as GHT ) with a lowered horizontal support beam to which a right and left swivel arm is attached at the front end. At their swivel arm ends, the steering knuckles for the puncture-proof rubber wheels are placed, which are steered via a steering lever and tie rods. The footrest can be inserted into the end of the horizontal support beam and secured with a mounting bolt. The use of the footrest is not mandatory.

At the other end is the horizontal support beam with a mounting bolt and connecting straps connected to a vertical lifting column, on which there is an upstream lifting spindle - driven by a hand crank - a lifting carriage can be adjusted in height.

A seat unit consisting of a seat support cross and a padded seat shell is attached to the lifting carriage so that the seat unit can be rotated about the horizontal axis. The seat shell itself can also be rotated around the vertical axis. Since the seat unit can be uncoupled from the actual GHT and placed on the front passenger seat, it is possible to take a person with walking difficulties in a normal PW without having to make any changes to the PW beforehand. The load-bearing elements of the GHT can be dismantled in a few simple steps and stowed in the trunk or between the car seats.

Using a gallows as an additional device, a person with walking difficulties can be picked up from a wheelchair or bed without great effort by the caregiver or accompanying person and transferred to the GHT .

The dimensions and structure of the proposed GHT are designed so that it can be used indoors, on streets and paths.

In contrast to conventional wheelchairs, support points are provided on the GHT . Two carrying handles and a two-part carrying rod can be attached to these points. This enables obstacles such as short stairs or level differences to be easily overcome. With the use of these aids, which are always carried in the footrest, it is possible in many cases to allow GHT and its users to travel in the passenger car of the train and not in the mail car.

An assistant is required to operate the GHT . The GHT can therefore not replace a normal wheelchair that the patient can move himself. Unless you use the auxiliary wheel accessories, which can be attached under the seat unit.

A padded seat shell (1) ( Fig. 1 basic unit) is guided on a seat support cross (18) by means of seat guides (20) on a support ring and centered in the middle by the seat pivot point (32). The entire seat unit is coupled with the male seat coupling (33) to the lifting carriage (4) in the female seat coupling (34). The lifting carriage is on the lifting column (3) by the lifting spindle (14) by means of the lifting spindle hand crank (22) adjusted in height and guided with the lateral lifting slide guides (31). The required force is absorbed by the load rollers (29). The lifting column (3) is over the connecting straps (10), on which the castors (9) are also attached, on the horizontal bar (11) supported or connected to it. To drive the patient to the car or on the road ( Fig. 2 device in driving position), the seat unit is angled and secured with an extendable safety support (15). As an additional part, the footrest (13) is pushed into the front of the horizontal bar (11) and fixed with a mounting bolt. With the assembly of the support rod (5), the eyebolt (6) and / or the carrying handles (Fig4, 65) it is possible to carry the GHT together with the patient over obstacles or stairs. The support rod (5), the eyebolt (6) and the carrying handles (65) can be supplied and fastened in the footrest (13) when not in use, and carried with them. (See Fig. 4)

To load a patient into a vehicle ( Fig. 6 , seat shell clearly drawn!), He can be placed on the GHT in the driving or loading position. You drive to the vehicle in the driving position (Fig. 2) and first bring the seat unit into the horizontal position on site. Second, the footrest (13), if installed, is placed horizontally so that the car body can be driven under during the insertion process. In the course of the insertion process, the GHT can be moved in any direction and, thanks to the seat tilt option, the seat shell (1) can be adjusted to the car seat inclination. After the seat unit has reached the correct position above the car seat, the lifting slide (22) is used to lower the lifting carriage (4) with the seat unit onto the car seat, the seat unit is uncoupled and the patient is fastened on. The rest of the GHT is now dismantled, folded as shown in Fig. 8 and the individual parts are stowed in the vehicle. The procedure is reversed when the patient is removed.

In order to transfer severely disabled patients from a wheelchair, bed etc. onto the GHT , a gallows (accessory) (75) (Fig. 7) is placed on the lifting carriage (4), screwed onto the prepared attachment point (79) and with belts or cloths raised to the GHT . The lifting carriage (4), lifting spindle (14) and boom - lifting spindle (77) are used as lifting devices. In order to ensure stability in this type of application, the rubber wheels (12) must be swiveled forward and fixed in this position. (Accessories Fig. 4 Item 67).
