During this operation, the stirrups 15 and 16 are retracted in the corresponding recess in the support plate. By pushing movable pushers of stirrups 15 and 16, these are then lifted and turned a quarter turn, to grip the sheet metal, then tightened. The operator can then carry out the micrometric adjustment of the position of the support plate by acting on the three knurled chickens 4, 5, 6 described above.
