- the sheet cut can be moved by sliding on the support plate.
- the sheet metal cut can be moved at least 1 mm in any direction, while remaining engaged in the fixed stirrups, which is enough to achieve fine adjustment of its position.
- the tightening and release operations of the sheet metal support by the movable bracket are much faster than the tightening and loosening of four screws. There is no need to bring in and out several times completely the support plate of the cutting station.
- Fixed stirrups can be rulers with a lip prominent upper, under which slides the sheet to be cut.
- the support plate comprises two movable brackets on the lateral side located on the driver's side, i.e. on the side usually accessible by operators.

- the cutting sheet 7 is a thin sheet of stainless steel, rectangular, 1 mm thick. It has two notches rectangular 8 and 9 accommodating the projecting parts of the adjustment blocks micrometric 2 and 3. Some clearance may be provided between the notches and the edges of the blocks.
- the support plate comprises on the lateral side opposite to the conductor two fixed stirrups 10 and 11: the fixed stirrups 10 and 11 have each an upper lip directed towards the interior of the support plate, which forms therewith a groove of equal or very slight thickness greater than that of the sheet metal to be cut, so that the corresponding edge of it can come and stay there.
- the edge of the support plate, rear side, i.e. entry plate, has a similar fixed bracket 12.
- the front edge of the support plate carries several rectangular notches 29 in which engage the clamps of a leaf transport bar (not shown).
- the fixed stirrups 12, 13 and 14 could advantageously be replaced by a single fixed bracket (not shown) extending over the entire width of the support plate 1.
- the support plate On its edge located on the driver's side, the support plate has its upper surface two rectangular recesses oriented in the direction longitudinal, extended vertically by two through openings, in which engage two movable stirrups 15, 16.

- the sheet When placing the sheet to be cut on the plate support, the sheet is first slid onto the plate, the rectangular notch 9 being in abutment against the projecting part of the adjustment block micrometric 3. During this operation, the stirrups 15 and 16 are retracted in the corresponding recess in the support plate. By pushing movable pushers of stirrups 15 and 16, these are then lifted and turned a quarter turn, to grip the sheet metal, then tightened. The operator can then carry out the micrometric adjustment of the position of the support plate by acting on the three knurled chickens 4, 5, 6 described above.
