    Claims (7)

    1. An installation for the flexible and economic pickling and cold-rolling of metal strips, in particular in small and medium production runs, consisting of a metal pickling stages arranged in a line, a coiler arrangement provided on the coiling side of the metal pickling stage and a cold-rolling mill, the coiler arrangement being in the form of a horizontal or vertical turret-type coiler (5) and the cold-rolling mill in the form of a reversing mill (9),
      characterised in that
      the coiler arrangement is formed with two separate drive units for each coiler drum (coiling drum 6 and an uncoiling drum 7), which are preferably decoupled when changing and that the coiler drums (coiling drum 6 and an uncoiling drum 7) are arranged axially displaceably in their housings.
    2. An installation according to Claim 1, characterised in that the reversing mill (9) is in the form of a 2- to 3-high tandem stand group (stands 9a and 9b) with reversing coilers (10 and 11) located on either side of the tandem stand group.
    3. An installation according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the reversing mill (9) is equipped with 6-high stands (9a and 9b).
    4. An operating method for the flexible and economic pickling and cold-rolling of metal strips, in particular in small and medium production runs, on an installation according to the preceding claims,
      characterised by the alternative sequence of the following operating steps:
      a) the strip leaving the metal pickling stage is introduced in a first roll pass into the cold-rolling mill, bypassing the coiler arrangement, and is rolled out in a plurality of deformation passes,
         or
      b) the strip leaving the metal pickling stage is coiled on the coiler arrangement into a coil which after transferring into the uncoiling position is introduced into the cold-rolling mill and is rolled in a plurality of deformation passes,
         or
      c) the strip leaving the metal pickling stage is coiled as a hot strip on the coiler arrangement to produce finished strip,
         or
      d) pre-pickled hot strips are supplied to the coiler arrangement and are introduced into the cold-rolling mill from the uncoiling position and are rolled in a plurality of deformation passes.
    5. An operating method according to Claim 4, characterised in that the cold rolling takes place on a reversing mill, into which the strip produced according to operating steps a, b or d is introduced and is rolled out in a plurality of reversing passes, the strip after one or more reversing passes being coiled on to at least one of the reversing coilers located on either side of the reversing mill.
    6. An operating method according to Claim 4, characterised in that the cold rolling of the strip produced according to operating steps a, b or d is carried out on a 2- or 3-high tandem mill, on which the strip is rolled in one pass.
    7. An operating method according to Claim 4, characterised in that the cold rolling of the strip produced according to operating steps a, b or d is carried out on a 2- or 3-high tandem mill, the strip being coiled after one or more reversing passes on to at least one of the reversing coilers located on either side of the tandem mill.
