Description

The invention relates to an escalator or moving walk with a lubricating device, wherein a step belt of the escalator or a pallet band of the moving walk is guided between lateral boundaries in the form of base plates, and wherein at least one escalator step of the step belt or a pavement pallet of the pallet band at least one lubricant container is provided which is connected to lubrication points of the escalator step.

Such lubricating devices have the purpose of preventing it from environmental, virtually unavoidable dirt deposits such as dust, abrasion of subway brakes, etc. come to base plates of the escalator or the moving walk or unfavorable material compositions to increased friction and noise between the base plates and the step band can.

With the Japanese patent JP 53197667 a lubricating device for escalators has become known, by means of which guide rails for the step band of an escalator can be lubricated. For this purpose, a battery-powered electromagnetic valve is provided, which is arranged at an exit opening of an oil container attached to an escalator step. On the electromagnetic valve, a pipe is connected, via which the guide rail for the rear wheel of the escalator step is lubricated. From the pipe branches off a flexible hose, through which the lubricant of the guide rail for the front wheel of the escalator stage is supplied. For the control of the electromagnetic valve, a timer is provided. In this escalator perfect lateral lubrication is not guaranteed.

In another, with the Japanese Patent JP 08225285 become known lubricating device for a Escalators are provided along the lateral edges of an escalator step lubricant carrier. Brush-forming bristles protrude from these lubricant carriers and touch the base plates of the escalator which laterally guide the escalator steps. An attached to the back of the tread part of the escalator stage Gleitmittelbehälter is connected via pipes and wicks inserted in this with the Gleitmittelträgern or the brushes and supplies the Gleitmittelträgern and brushes with lubricant, which is applied by the brushes on the base plates.

In this device, a lubricant trace is transferred to the base plates whose width corresponds to the total height of the escalator step. It is therefore consumed relatively much lubricant, and the broad lubricant trace is covered by the step band only a small part.

Out JP 10109874 a lubricating device for escalators is known in which in an escalator step, a movable applicator element is installed for a lubricant that is pressed only in certain areas of the orbit of the escalator steps against the escalator stages laterally leading base plates. During pressing, a pump delivers lubricant from a lubricant tank to the applicator, which lubricant is then applied to the base plates. Also in this device, a lubricant trace is transferred to the base plates whose width corresponds to the entire height of the escalator step, so that consumes relatively much lubricant and the broad lubricant trace is covered only to a small extent by the step band.

The invention has for its object to provide a lubricating device of the type mentioned, which does not have the aforementioned disadvantages.

This object is achieved by the invention specified in the patent claims 1 and 4.

The advantages achieved by the invention over the above-described devices are, in particular, that the structure of the lubricating device is very simple and therefore inexpensive, that the lubricant track formed by the sliding blocks or brushes is relatively narrow and therefore lubricant-saving, and that the narrow lubricant track so can be arranged that it is largely covered by the escalator steps or the pavement pallets. The risk of fouling escalator or moving walk users can thus be greatly reduced.
