Description

The invention relates to a lubricating device for an escalator or moving walk, wherein a step band in the escalator or a pallet band at the moving walk between lateral boundaries is performed, and wherein lubricant containers are provided, which are connected via lines with lubrication points.

Such lubricating devices have the purpose of preventing it from environmental, virtually unavoidable dirt deposits such as dust, abrasion of subway brakes, etc. on base plates of the escalator or moving walk or unfavorable material compositions to increased friction and noise between the base plates and the step band or can come to the pallet band.

Ein Schmiervorrichtung ist z.B. aus JP-A-10109874 bekannt.A lubricating device is eg off JP-A-10109874 known.

With the Japanese Patent JP 5319767 a lubricating device for escalators has become known, by means of which guide rails for the step band of an escalator can be lubricated. For this purpose, a battery-powered electromagnetic valve is provided, which is arranged at an exit opening of an oil container attached to an escalator step. On the electromagnetic valve, a pipe is connected, via which the guide rail for the rear wheel of the escalator step is lubricated. From the pipe branches off a flexible hose, through which the lubricant of the guide rail for the front wheel of the escalator stage is supplied. For the control of the electromagnetic valve, a timer is provided. In this escalator perfect lateral lubrication is not guaranteed. In addition, it should be regarded as a disadvantage that the relevant escalator step must be dismantled during maintenance work.

In another, with the Japanese Patent Publication JP 08225285 become known lubricating device for a Escalators are provided on the side edges of the back of the tread part and the riser part of an escalator step lubricant holder. From the lubricant holders, brush-forming bristles protrude, which touch the sidewalls of the escalator. A mounted on the back of the tread part Gleitmittelbehälter is connected via pipes and wicks inserted in this with the Gleitmittelhaltern or the brushes. Also with this lubricating device, the escalator step concerned must be dismantled during maintenance work. In addition, relatively much lubricant is consumed by the long brush formed by means of the bristles and a wide lubricating track is formed, which is only partially covered by the step band.

The invention has for its object to propose a lubricating device of the type mentioned, which does not have the aforementioned disadvantages.

This object is achieved by the invention defined in claim 1. Here, a lubricant container is connected via lines with lubrication points, which are arranged on lateral boundaries of a step band of the escalator or a pallet band of the moving walk. On the escalator steps and on the pavement pallets sliding blocks are provided, which protrude slightly over the lateral edges of the escalator steps and take over the lubricants on passing the lubricant and transferred to the lateral boundaries.

Since the task, effect and execution of the present invention are virtually identical in escalators and moving walks, in the following, for the sake of simplicity, only their use in escalators will be described.

According to a particular embodiment, the lubricant container is arranged within a balustrade base in the upper part of the escalator. In the lubricant tank protrudes a Schmierdocht, the other end in the area Sliding blocks is attached to a side plate forming the base plate and protrudes through a hole in the base plate, whereby the lubrication point is formed.
Further possible embodiments are apparent from the dependent claims.

The advantages achieved by the invention are in particular that noise is avoided and by reducing the friction of the wear of the sliding blocks is reduced and damage to the base plates are prevented. Further advantages are the fact that the lubricant container is more easily accessible and that the lubricant track formed by the sliding blocks is concealed and relatively narrow and therefore lubricant-saving.

In the Fig.1 to 4 1 is an escalator, in which a step belt 4, which consists of interconnected by means of a transport chain 4.1 escalator steps 5, in the upper part of the escalator 1 between side boundaries forming base plates 3 is moved and guided. The base plates 3 are parts of Balustradensockeln 2.1 where a balustrade 2 is attached. At the escalator stages 5 are below with reference to Figure 8 closer sliding blocks 6 arranged, which protrude slightly (for example, 2mm) on the side edges of the escalator steps 5, so that the step belt 4 is guided by means of the sliding blocks 6 between the base plates 3. Within the Balustradensokkels 2.1, in the upper part of the escalator 1, a lubricant container 7 is arranged. A lubricating wick 8 protrudes into the lubricant container 7 with one end, while the other end of the lubricating wick 8 is fastened in the region of the sliding blocks 6 to the base plate 3 and protrudes through a hole in the base plate 3, whereby a lubricating point 9 is formed. The Schmierdocht 8 projects in this case only so far out of the base plate 3, that the edges of the escalator steps 5 are not touched. During the driving operation of the escalator 1 slide the sliding blocks 6 past the lubrication point 9, where they press the end of the lubricating hole 8, take over the lubricant and transferred to the base plate 3.

According to the Fig.5 and 6 the lubricant container 7 is arranged in the lower region of the escalator 1, in the region of the lower deflection of the step belt 4. Here too, one end of the lubricating hole 8 protrudes into the lubricant container 7, while the other end, however, in the region of Sliders 6 and a guide rail 13 for the step band 4 is attached to a wick holder 14, whereby the lubrication point 9 is formed.

In the execution according to Figure 7 the lubricant container 7 is arranged above the lubrication point 9 and connected via a lubrication line 10 in the form of a fixed tube with the lubrication point 9, so that a drop-flow lubrication is achieved. The lubrication point 9 is in this case designed such that the lubrication line 10 is secured in the region of the sliding blocks 6 by means of an adapter piece 12 on the base plate 3, wherein provided in the adapter piece 12 is provided with a bore part in the form of a felt piece or a brush for the delivery of the lubricant is. At the lubricating pipe 10, a reducing valve 11 is arranged for the control of the flow rate of the lubricant. Instead of the fixed pipe, a flexible hose can be used for the lubrication line 10, wherein a hose clamp is provided for the regulation of the flow rate.

In the Figure 8 is denoted by 5.1 with the escalator step 5 fixed column, which has a continuous receiving bore 5.2, in which the sliding block 6 is fixed. The sliding block 6 consists of an abrasion-resistant thermoplastic material and has a flange-like guide part 6.1 and a shaft 6.2, which is provided immediately behind the guide member 6.1 with a 6.3 Verrust. The end 6.4 of the shaft 6.2 is formed in a conventional manner such that the sliding block 6 is held by snapping in the receiving bore 5.2.

Instead of the statements according to the 3 to 7 , The lubricant container 7 can be connected via a feed pump, metering elements and lubricating lines 10 with the lubrication points 9, which are preferably arranged under the comb plates at the upper end of the escalator 1 to the base plates 3.

Any excess lubricant can drip off in the area of the return line.

Instead of performing the lubrication of the sliding blocks 6, as described above, with its own system, it can also be done by a centralized lubrication system, which also supplies several other lubrication points of the escalator.
