Claims (13)
- Header box for a heat exchanger, comprising a header plate closed by a wall so as to delimit a chamber into which emerges at least one pipe, characterized in that it comprises:a first part (10; 50; 72) formed from a shaped metal sheet having only a bottom (14; 54; 76) and two side walls (22; 56; 78) folded up so as to face each other, at least one of which is provided with an opening (30; 66) in order to attach a pipe (32; 68; 84) thereto, anda second part (12; 52; 74) formed from a shaped metal sheet capable of fitting onto the side walls (22; 56; 78) of the first part in order to form a cover on the opposite side to the bottom (14; 54; 76) of this first part,
and in that the first part (10; 50; .72), the second part (12; 52; 74) and the pipe (32; 68; 84) are assembled by brazing. - Header box according to Claim 1, characterized in that the two side walls (22; 56; 78) of the first part (10; 50; 72) are generally flat and mutually parallel and adjoin the bottom (14; 54; 76) at right angles.
- Header box according to either of Claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the two side walls (22) of the first part (10) each comprise a peripheral groove (34) for receiving a longitudinal edge (38) of the second part (12).
- Header box according to either of Claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the two side walls (78) of the first part (72) each comprise a series of cutouts (86) delimiting bearing regions (88), formed so as to project from the inner side, for receiving a longitudinal edge (90) of the second part (74).
- Header box according to Claim 4, characterized in that the bearing regions (88) are each formed by stamping the side walls (78) on the inner side.
- Header box according to either of Claims 4 and 5, characterized in that each longitudinal edge (90) of the second part (74) is provided with projecting lugs (92) capable of respectively engaging in the cutouts (86) in the side walls (78).
- Header box according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the cover-forming second part (12; 52; 74) is defined by a strip shaped in order to have generally mutually parallel generatrices.
- Header box according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the header plate is included within the bottom (14; 76) of the first part (10; 72) and adjoins the side walls (22; 78), whereas the second part (12; 74) constitutes a closed cover.
- Header box according to Claim 8, characterized in that the two side walls (22) have respective extensions (26; 28) facing each other, at least one (26) of which is provided with an opening (30) for the pipe (32).
- Header box according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the header plate is included within the second part (52), whereas the bottom (54) of the first part (50) is closed and adjoins the side walls (56).
- Header box according to one of Claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the first part (10; 50; 72) and the second part (12; 52; 74) are each obtained by stamping and cutting out a metal-sheet piece.
- Header box according to Claim 11, characterized in that the first part (10; 50; 72) and the second part (12; 52; 74) are each obtained from a sheet made of a material comprising aluminium.
- Heat exchanger comprising at least one header box according to one of Claims 1 to 12.
