Abstract

The inner shell (3) of the protection cap is divided into a central segment (15), protecting the top of the skull, two side areas (18,19), a front (16) and a back segment (17) by gaps (22,23), which facilitate the outer segments (16,17,18,19) to be bent in order to follow the individual shape of the head of the user. The outer shape (1,2) is designed like a baseball cap with a triangular gap (11) at the back. For adjusting the hem (6) is folded open, two strips (10), positioned beside the gap (11) are pulled into an overlappig position, fixed with strips of Velcro(RTM)(7,9), and the hem (6) is folded in again.

Description

The invention relates to a protective cap according to the preamble of claim 1, therefore consisting of an elastic deformable hard shell and one receiving this Case, the hard shell from an upper, on the Skull resting skullcap, one Front headboard, an in-head part and two side panels consists.

A trained as an industrial bump cap The above type is the subject of DE 196 21 980 A1. Bump caps of this type protect against injuries in particular when bumping against hard or sharp-edged components or live parts. They offer opposite Protective helmets have the advantage of being a far higher Provide comfort because they do not need straps that under the chin lead to the headgear on the head because they are lighter than helmets and because they have less distance from the head, so they one less disability when working in confined spaces represent. Furthermore, industrial bumpers are becoming more likely worn as hard hats, because you give them the look of a usual cap, for example a baseball cap, can give.

The safety of such beltless caps against falling from the head is naturally less than that of a helmet fastened by straps to the head. she However, this can be increased by the fact that the protective cap very exactly the head size is adjusted so they are sitting tight on his head. Because the size of the heads of the However, people are very different, requires one such a tight fit making a great many caps different size, because the hard shell immediately touched the head and therefore an adjustment with the previously known means is not possible. In the Contrast one can with protective helmets with few sizes content, because this is an adjustable and therefore have the head size customizable support frame, so that the shape of the hard shell of the hard hat sitting the Protective helmet on the head not affected.

From US-PS 3,315,273 is a cap with an elastic deformable hard shell known in segments is subdivided so that they fit in accordance with the head size widens.

Die US-PS 5,930,841 beschreibt eine flexible Kappe, in der Polsterungen eingebracht sind und die mittels eines am Kappenrand umlaufenden Bandes auf die jeweilige Kopfgröße eingestellt werden kann.US-PS 5,930,841 describes a flexible cap, in the upholstery is introduced and by means of a at the edge of the cap band around the head size can be adjusted.

The invention is based on the problem, a protective cap of the type mentioned above to be designed so that her hard shell in the largest possible extent of the head size the wearer is customizable.

This problem is inventively achieved in that the width of the recesses until the end of each Recess decreases towards and that the envelope adjusting means for adjusting the circumference of its over the head bottom edge has.

Through this design of the cap you can through the Adjustment of the shell, the hard shell bend so that she leans against the head of the wearer and the Protective cap is held very securely on the head. Thereby it is ensured that the protective cap is not from the Head falls, for example, when the wearer is far behind bends forward or when training the envelope as a visor cap strong wind is acting on the screen. Through this Design according to the invention can also be done with only a few different protective cap sizes achieve that Always keep the protective cap tight on the wearer's head. Furthermore, due to the tight fit over the scope as an industrial bumper Applications. For cyclists, for example so far for security reasons undoubtedly meaningful wearing a protective helmet only very limited enforced because non-athletes look at such Protective helmets interfere and more generally the closing of the Belt after annealing the helmet considered annoying becomes. The protective cap according to the invention can Look like a regular peaked cap, as they anyway is liked by cyclists, and offers because of her tight fit on her head even without one under the chin to be worn very well protection from injury in a fall of the cyclist. Also at other sports would be wearing such caps meaningful. For example, there is hardly a sailor who Do not frequent the head with parts of the sail when sailing Sailboat violently pokes or its head even at one rapid sailing maneuvers taken from the tree of the mainsail becomes. At the same time, sailors almost always wear a peaked cap, so that the protective cap according to the invention also for the sailing sport would be optimal, especially as their wearing for third parties can not be seen.

The hard shell is able to optimally the respective Adapt head shape if, according to a further education the invention in the skullcap part near the front head part and the back of the head each a joint each having a pair of in the side parts leading into the area of the skullcap part Recesses is formed.

Impact forces on the hard shell become evenly over one spread over the larger area of the skull when on the Inside of the skullcap part an elastic padded part is attached.

The hard shell can be customized with upholstered parts be equipped when the cushion part detachable connected to the hard shell.

Often it is desirable to have protective caps with earmuffs are equipped, for example, the carrier to protect against damage by sound. That can work very simple way of doing that by the side panels Mounts for side panel extensions attached are.

The shell can be independent of the hard shell, for example be washed in the washing machine when the Hard shell is removably disposed in the shell. Such a separation is therefore particularly advantageous because it is due to the movements in the washing machine to remain at the temperatures occurring Deformations of the hard shell comes. The inventive Separation allows the hard shell as a separate component to wash by hand in the washbasin. Also the production the protective cap is simpler due to this separation, because this makes a cap manufacturer the complete Sheath manufacture and only later of a Suppliers supplied hard shells must mount. This also makes it possible, the cases for to design identical hardshells differently. Farther the manufacturer of the hard shell can be independent of Check the case for safety requirements enough.

The adjusting means for the protective cap are optimally designed if the adjustment of the sheath one in the back of the head trained as a pocket open at the top Belts have the edge of the hard shell on both sides overlaps and the one on the head facing Side has a textile adhesive strip on which another Textile adhesive strip of another belt is to press attached in the occipital area at the bottom of the envelope and to turn from outside to inside at first Belt is formed.

For example, if workers wear the protective cap without a hard shell because they use the weight of the hard shell as feel distracting, then this circumstance falls outsiders on when the sheath and / or the hard shell means characterized by the presence of the hard shell below the shell is visible when wearing the protective cap.

Figure 1 shows an inventive, as a baseball cap trained cap as a whole. You can see from the outside, only a shell 1, for example, from Fabric consists and front with a sewn screen 2 is provided.

Figure 2 shows that in the shell 1 a Hard shell 3 is integrated. This is inside in upper area a cushion part 4 releasably attached. To This attachment can be on the cushion part 4, for example elastically deformable, mushroom-like projections 5 are provided be, which reach through the hard shell 3. The casing 1 has a pocket 6 near its edge at the bottom, which engages over the edge of the hard shell 3. On this Bag 6 is facing the inside of the protective cap Side attached a textile adhesive strip 7. The Case 1 also has a lower edge 8, which is inside and also a textile adhesive strip 9 carries, which is in the textile adhesive strip. 7 hooked. The textile adhesive strips 7, 9 form with the edge 8 an adjusting means 10, which allows the inner circumference Adjust the cap, which is the figure 3 especially clarified.

FIG. 3 shows the protective cap with its casing 1 and the edge 8, which in this illustration does not yet have the Hard shell 3 was turned over. It can be seen in FIG 3 a V-shaped recess 11 at the back of the shell 1, which is closed by a tab 14. The edge 8 runs on both sides of this incision 11 each as Strap 12, 13 off. The belt 13 has the already in FIG 2 shown pocket 6, seen in Figure 3 after is open at the top. The textile adhesive strip 7 is located in the position shown in Figure 3 on the outside of the belt 13.

To fix the hard shell 3, you first beat the 3 right-most part of the edge 8 in order. there you push the bag 6 over the area located there the hard shell 3, whereby the textile adhesive strip. 7 reaches the inside of the protective cap. Subsequently If one also turns over the remaining area of edge 8, then that the belt 12 passes over the belt 13 and more or less far to the right and using the Textile adhesive strips 7, 9 can be fixed, causing the Incision 11 more or less contracted and Correspondingly, the hard shell 3 more or less strongly deformed.

The exact design of the hard shell 3 results from Figures 4, 5 and 6. This consists of a skullcap part 15, a front head part 16, an occipital part 17 and two side parts 18, 19, of which in FIG 3 only the side part 19 can be seen. Important for the invention, two joints 20, 21 in the skullcap part 15. These joints 20, 21 are each through two in cross-section tapering inwardly, symmetrically mutually extending recesses 22, 23 are formed, which in the side parts 18, 19 to the skullcap part 15 lead into it.

Also visible in Figures 4 to 6 brackets 25 in the form of oblong holes near the lower edge the side parts 18, 19. These brackets 25 allow it, not shown side part extensions, in particular Earmuffs to attach to the side panels 18, 19.
