Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Wickelmaschine (1) zum Umwickeln eines Gegenstandes (2) oder einer Mehrzahl von Gegenständen, mit einem Transportband (3), wobei das Transportband (3) eine Wickelebene (E) der Maschine (1) durchsetzt, und mit einer Wickelmaterial-Vorschubeinrichtung (17), welche das das Transportband (3) untergreifende Wickelmaterial (10) in Transportrichtung (r) bewegt, wobei darauf abgestellt ist, dass unterhalb des Rücklauf-Trums (13) des Transportbandes (3) in Längsrichtung des Transportbandes (3) verlaufende Stützmittel (14) vorgesehen sind und dass die Wickelmaterial-Vorschubeinrichtung (17) als Abhebe-Transportvorrichtung (18) für das Wickelmaterial (10) ausgebildet ist, die das Wickelmaterial (10) bzgl. des Stützmittels (14) nach unten belastet und sodann in Förderrichtung (r) bewegt. Darüber hinaus betrifft die Erfindung auch ein entsprechendes Verfahren zum Umwickeln eines Gegenstandes.
