Description
The invention relates to an electrical connector that can be connected to a film conductor is. If we are talking about foil conductors here, flexible should be included Printed circuit boards (FPCB), flat cables (FFC) or the like. be understood. Such a The connector has a connector housing that carries a contact pin Connector body and a fixing part is formed, between the connector body and the fixing part a receiving gap for a film conductor or for the end of a Foil conductor is arranged. The contact pins carry a contact element that protrudes into the receiving gap and there with the conductor track of a foil conductor is contactable. In a connector known from US 5,356,308, the connector body approximately cuboid and the fixing part is designed as a plate. The fixing part acts with a flat side of the plug body, leaving a receiving gap free for a circuit board together. The connector body are arranged in parallel Receiving channels contact pins arranged with spring tongues in the Protrude into the receiving gap. To increase the number of contact points, is a second plate-shaped fixing part is provided, which with the first receiving gap opposite side of the plug body a second receiving gap forms.
The object of the invention is to propose a connector that is simple Structure and compact geometry as large a number of contact pins as possible includes.
This object is achieved in that the fixing part is sleeve-shaped and in the assembled state at least one longitudinal section of the plug body in takes up, which of the inner surface of the fixing part and the peripheral surface of the connector body, the receiving gap at least forms the connector body partially includes. Compared to the known plugs, there is a higher utilization of the installation space provided by a plug body for Contact pins ensured, essentially only two main components are required, namely a central plug body and this all around Comprehensive, sleeve-shaped fixing part. The film conductor is clamped in the receiving gap and strain relief is achieved. The strain relief can be due to wavy or roughened surfaces of the connector body and fixing part reinforce. Point for contacting a conductor track of the film conductor the contact pins in particular a contact element. Should have multiple traces are contacted, a contact pin is preferably a plurality of contact elements assigned. There is also the option of using the contact pins to contact two foil conductors inserted into the receiving gap. Here, their mutually assigned conductor tracks are against each other pressed. In this case, the plug serves as a connector for two foil conductors.

The housing of a connector according to the invention settles, as in particular
1 can be seen from a
In jedem
3 angeordneten Folienleiters in elektrischem Kontakt.
zueinander ausgebildete Struktur aufweisen.In the
Two
The grid spacing of the contact pins 10 within the connector body is between 2.54 and 5.08 mm, the diameter of the contact pins 1 to 2 mm is. The plug body is preferably designed such that it does not have a fixing part 2 a diameter of 5 to 10 mm and with a fixing part a diameter of 7 to 15 mm.
Mehrere
miteinander kontaktierendes Kupplungselement. The contact pins 9 protrude from one or both end faces of the
Fig. 5, linke Seite).A film conductor is preferably inserted into the receiving
The fixing
andere Weise aufgebrachten Abschirmschicht zusammenwirken.The
The cross-sectional shape of the plug body or the inner cross-sectional shape of the fixing part are in principle arbitrary. However, a round or oval shape is advantageous, the oval shape also being flattened and parallel to each other 25 can have (Fig. 7).
Seiten her kontaktiert werden.
In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 8, the fixing part 2a also bears
Contact pins 9b, each parallel to the central
Kontaktstifte 9b.To generally fix the
9 bietet.9 to 11 are examples of the almost unlimited variation possibilities

Kontaktstiften 9.The example according to FIG. 9 shows the end section that can be connected with a plug
a foil conductor with parallel conductor tracks 29. Their parallel alignment
continues into the contact area of the connector. One recognizes that the
Fig. 10 und 11 der Fall ist. So können z.B.
Leiterbahnen 29a unterschiedlicher Breite oder mit unterschiedlichem Seitenabstand
über Leiterbahnabschnitte 28 mit den den Kontaktelementen 10 zugeordneten
Kontaktstellen 13 verbunden werden. However, it can also be expedient to lay out a foil conductor or one

Zur Verbesserung des Kontaktes zwischen Leiterbahn 29 bzw. Leiterbahnabschnitt
Kontaktstift zugeordnete Kontaktstellen 13b vorzusehen (Fig. 11).
To improve the contact between
